My wife and I are long time viewers of venture4wd and will continue to be. Your photography, adventurous curiosity and personality is what sets you apart. If I could offer a perspective I don't think you need background music to enhance or set the mood. The photography in this episode can easily stand by itself, really, but please do what you think is best, it's your channel.
Excellent! Looks like the bike carriers are working as advertised! Great to see some greenery for a change! Looks like the fires did not reach the higher altitudes N of Sacramento. Sad to see all those dead trees! Thanks for this Chris and look forward to more adventuring!!! Best
So, as much as I like your videos with the van, I miss your adventures with Orangie, with your real adventures, travelling around North America and not always staying in the vicinity of your new home. I have enough of the desert. Can I expect to see Orangie again? I miss him!
Great channel. Love the fact that there is SO little road time, and more time camping safely from bears in that awesome Winnebago! Nothing is more boring than 15 minutes of staring at the road, any road!!!
Mid week camping is always the best. A truly big Plus now going forward is that all of the kids have to go back to school! This week around here. Summer family camping is officially Over!!!
I know approx where you are. LV Caldera. I loved to camp up in that country. Lake Almanor - Humbug Valley. I camped for a week at the tiny campground in HumBug valley in June 2021. Owned and operated by the Maidu peoples tribe. Humbug Valley is their version of Paradise. And it was Paradise. A dozen campsites in these huge Spruce trees. Alongside one of the best trout fishing streams anywhere. Yellow Creek. I spent a week camping there solo in June 2021. My dad had just passed at the age of 93 a month before. Clearing your head out. This place absolutely allowed me to do that. A month later in July 2021. PG&E.. the Dixie fire. It was all burned to the ground. No going back.
ahh, saturday morning, the revel heads up a dirt road, and the cellos start. Lovely. Quote of the Day: "If the mountain starts talking for the first time in a Trillion years, then I'm gonna peace out."
Your trying something slightly different lately! ... The slight hint of music. I gotta say, it's pretty much perfect, "What!? Chris is playing music." It's perfect... Nice and subtle ambient noise, not over powering. ... Just a nice added touch to already awesome videos.
I been from Tucson to Tucumcari, Tehachapi to Tonapah...Driven every kind a rig that's ever been made....Driven the backroads so I wouldn't get weighed. One of Little Feat's best songs.
It looks like you put Orangie out to pasture. Please start her up and run her weekly as you do not want the gas to go bad. Put fuel stabilizer in her for good measure. Bring her back she is what really got me into this channel. Have a super blessed week. God bless in all you do.
nah, Orangie is just taking a well deserved nap. But I'm guessing he'll be mostly a desert rat from now on. Maybe Chris will mount a .50 cal on the roof and take it down south of the border.....
Hey Chris! Can't wait to see where you explore in our neck of the woods up here in WA; if that's your destination. If you do end up this way heading on I-90 around the Mount Baker NF, swing by Pioneer Coffee or Huxdotter Coffee in North Bend.
Chris great to see you back on the road again, please to see you get the van where most vans would be scared to even try. Chris, mate, venture4wd is refreshing as it doesn’t have music muzzling it, it doesn’t need it especially funeral dirges, please dump it👍
not sure when this was filmed but I am surprised your not finding it hard to find a good spot for the night, seems the crowds are evert where now days (-:
HI CHRIS 👋 GORGEOUS WEATHER SCENERY COLORS VIEWS ! BREATHTAKING DRONE FOOTAGE 📹 LOVE THE VIEWS FROM YOUR CAMPSITES YOU FOUND 😀 ❤ THAT I / TASTY COULD MAKE IT TO THEM . HOPE YOUR FAMILY & FRIENDS ARE DOING GOOD. THE STREAM LOOKED SO INVITING ! ANY FISH OR OTHER CRITTERS ? BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏 THANK YOU 🙏 STILL HAVING HOT DAYS / NOT AS HOT AS WHERE YOU BOTH ARE / & THUNDERSTORMS OFF & ON . GOOD & BAD WITH THAT / FLOODING IN LOW AREAS , ETC ! HOW IS THE NEW BIKE RACK & COVERS DOING 🤔
Life changes, so as V4WD. I miss the Jeep but he will push the van as deep as is reasonable. At some point Venture 4WD had to evolve. Good luck on your next channel or maybe you could be a creator. All the best. Hope you stay!
I like Chris. He and his girlfriend Shannon are great folks, chatted with them for quite a while the year before at Overland West as she is from Hamburg, NY not far from where I grew up. His videos were better when he was going WAY out into rougher terrain, that is what attracted me to his channel. I think he picked the perfect state, I know I love it here.

Your scene of leaving the BLM route and opening and closing the gate make me wonder if you have ever run into any issues with land owners claiming tresspass on what you believed to be BLM? I live out in NW NJ where there is no BLM (I know you are familiar being an Eastern PA guy) and dream of the day I will finally get out west to enjoy those places. Navigating both On X off-road and Gaia can be dicy here in the NE where there is far more private routes than public (often state forest of parkland routes). Will all the years of following you, I do not remember a time discussing this so figured I would ask. thanks for all the great content and constant backtracking for cameras to get it!
Thank you! For the audience, the standard is to leave any gate as you found it, unless there’s signage to contradict. Agreed, finding legal, decent boondocking back east is very difficult. I hope you’re able to travel west soon.
Of course all of the obligatory effusive comments from me too. With that said I have a nit picky negative criticism that has been irritating me and maybe it’s my imagination but it appears that Chris is often hitting us with the blink at the end of a segment as a non verbal signal to cut so he knows where to cut without having to listen to the audio. I can understand that it would make editing faster but it’s starting to look hackish to me. I realize that if that’s the only thing I’m not liking about the channel I’m extremely lucky but I get so distracted by it now that I’m compelled to give feedback.

Glad to see you in the Sierras Chris. One of my favorite places on earth. Looking forward to the next few months worth of videos.
Hey Cris, it's been nice watching your videos! Great quality and wonderful places to go! Thanks a bunch for your hard work and doing great videos.
Looking forward to your adventure Chris! Great video as always. Thank you!
“I am not looking at a map tonight…I will figure that out in the morning. Yes! My way to explore!
PS- like the subtle instrumental infusions.

Alright, adventure is certainly afoot!
Enjoyed 👍.
Also any chance of Jeep making an appearance in the near future.
The last thing he will do is answer a question!
@@bluejeep19561 😂😂
Alright! Adventure is a foot!
Mind blowing episode from mn smg karnataka India
Glad to see you getting back on the road.
“And I been from Tucson to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonopah.”, as the great Lowell George song goes.
2 months? Dang. Starting the road trip right with TB!

Hey, you always get me jonesing. What brand are the bike covers that you are using? I like them. Thank you in advance. Safe travels.
thats one dusty dash 😃
Miss the solo very remote Jeep adventures, this has become a Van Life Channel. Anyone can do that.
Anyone can do the Jeep thing too...
Not really, more skills required in tough terrain. He has them but has gone Van life🙄
Life changes, so as V4WD.

You’re going to turn into a grilled cheese sandwich. 😂
Bring back Orangie. Van camping is too ordinary. Anybody can do that.

All that and a bag of Chips...
Nice merch from Lifestyle Overland! Another favorite channel of mine
i miss orange😢
If you had the opportunity to get a good deal on a new AWD sprinter WOULD YOU DO IT ? I am in such a position and need advice !
What's that animal walking in the background at 4:05 ?

Not sure I understand what you’re talking about with “the blink?” Regardless, I’m sorry you’re annoyed and I wish you well.
@@venture4wd I figured it was my imagination. Thanks for the reply. I’ll maybe find some time for some shared examples
Let me guess Mt. St. Helen's
I like the slight 'shift' in this channel. This really shows what the Revel is capable of and the spots you can get to. Nice.
Agree!
The channel needs to change its name to " Glamping with Chris and Shannon " I guess the orange jeep adventures are a thing of the past 😭😭😭
Was the wait at Taco Bell excessive like normal there?
Where's Orangie? Is this turning into a van life channel? I hope not....
very basic video. you just want patreon subscribers for money. not everyone has money...
PLEASE DO NOT MIX GHOSLTY MUSIC. Leave it the way it was, no BGM.
Chris u should not eat anything that is too burnt like sandwich ..is carcinogenic
"Let curiosity be my guide!" ... Well said!
