Creativity includes originality and influence. New inventions have a great influence on future. Moreover, it’s important to be innovative , but not too innovative. Machines try to emulate art and they break styles. Their works are very interesting, because robots mix warm colors with cold and so on. All in all , machines can create new amazing works of art.

Nataly Kolosova Well, you’ve got a point, but, do you really think that computers can supplant human’s brain? Personally, I think, even in the future it will not happen.

All art must have originality and influence. In their research, they forced machines to create works based on world paintings created by man. Mashies combined works of several styles together, but it was still very similar. During the experiment it turned out that the machine can calculate how much this work was creative and how the population would react to it in other years.

Well, you’ve got a good point here, but I think that art should only be created by a human. Each person has their own unique thing that cannot be the same as others. I personally think we should get rid of these computers. They shouldn’t decide what is creative and what is not.

Yes , but on the other hand computers surpass the possibilities and replace the human brain

But people want to create art because creating art gives them joy. What is the sense of having someone else take away the activity that gives you joy in life? Doing art gives people rewards, pleasure. It is not a job. You play the piano and what you feel cannot be described. Emotions that you feel.

The speaker tells us about how the creativity, that includes originality and influence, establishes between people and the machine. Machine can create some art on base of some pieces of art, that people have ever created. By this way the machine makes a novel art, which is different from the works of humans. So,basically.machine can create, but only with human’s help.

As I see it, you are absolutely right. But on the other hand, computers develop extremely fast and people can't control it sometimes. So, in the nearest future they will be able to create their own works of art

Machines can be creative, there are a lot of reasons why. First of all, what is the creativity? It's about something new, that hadn't done before. And now it's available for AI to create that by analysing other artists' works. Machines can invent something opposite, and of course it will be creative, because it's different from all that you have seen before.

Well, you've got a point, but i think that artificial creativity will never match the one of a human's. From my point of view, AI doesn't really come up with new ideas, it generates them from something that already exists. As i see it, AI still need a lot of time to advance to a level of imagination that we have.

Terrible description of creativity. It says nothing of utility, transformation of society through usefulness, or truth and beauty. As a painter it’s difficult to listen to people compare Andy Warhol to Leonardo da Vinci or Picasso to Caravaggio. Classical art isn’t simply a style, it’s a fundamentally different conception of man. Classical art does not view beauty and truth as independent of each other, but rather as that which is the illumination of what is true. It if you don’t believe in epistemological truth, apart from mathematics you will never understand creativity. And most people talking about artificial intelligence have no idea of virtue, truth or the sublime. Just stop ✋
