Looks awesome - I’m a local and curious about the adult league. I’ve never driven one of these carts before though, would you recommend getting a few public races under my belt to get a feel of it first? Im assuming I should be at a certain level before signing up for the league?
You definitely need to get several public sessions in and show that you have the skill to handle the karts at public session speed. Because during League the karts are much faster. They will give you a practice race at first during your first night at League. If you can't handle the kart the official won't allow you to compete that night.
During League races the karts are operating at full power. So technically they can go 50mph. But in reality, due to the size of the track, we are likely only hitting about 40mph on the straightaway sections for a brief moment. During public sessions the karts are restricted to a slower speed for safety.
You would be competing in the Teen League in your 13 to 17 year old age group. During League the karts operate at full power so they are much Faster than public sessions. If you want to give it a shot, the next Teen League is coming up on Tuesday June 4th at 6:30pm.

@@ThatAverageMTBer it changed ownership in late January. Also, K1 Speed took over Grand Prix New York in Mt Kisco a few months ago.
