I don't like that we get paid biweekly in Canada, I was so used to budgeting monthly but now I have to process some transactions bi-weekly. I agree with not forcing things and being real- I tried to reduce my food budget cos (that's one of my biggest expenses) but it made me miserable because I like food so I decided to budget with my actual numbers 😅 I also have a sinking fund for my siblings fees and start saving in advance before the school term starts, great tip. Also got to say, it cant be a Tobi budget without an allocation for takeout 😅😅
Yeah, going from monthly to ni-weekly can be a hassle! Lmaoo, for real 😂😂 I tried to force my fun budget once and it was so unrealistic. Aww, that’s nice 🤍🤍 Yes 😂😂 Tobi 🤝 takeout. Thanks girl 🤍
After budgeting, where do you segment the funds for those expenses? Do you have different bank accounts you put funds for each expenses or you just all funds together?
I switch it up most months. I have a bank that offers different buckets I’ve done that a couple times, most times I do the cash envelope method and I always use the budget sheet or excel tracker to keep track and know how much I’ve spent & have left in each category. I keep track of my transactions them or every Sundays if I’m busy
Nice one…I read the description. For the video, que: Interest rate 1.25%, I’m guessing this is where you save the funds for later expenses, which account gives that interest rate?
That’s my EQ bank, it’s an online bank so it’s a no fee account. Their interest is 1.25%, you can sign up with my link join.eqbank.ca?code=OLUWATOBI4823 and we both get cash. That’s if you look into it & decide to sign up
Great content! Lovely jumper🥰 Knowing that you advise people to get credit cards and use them in order to boost their credit scores, is that what you use for the items other than sinking funds/savings/investments?
Thanks ❤️ I mainly use my credit card for reoccurring payment bills and sometimes use it for my variable expenses (depending on what I’m spending on to get cash back because I have cash back credit cards). But I always make sure I have the actual money before using my credit card. Thanks for watching 🤍
"Nice one" 😆. Question: How do you keep these funds? In one account then you just keep track of what you've spent and all? Or do you have separate accounts for all
Thanks ❤️ I switch it up most months. I have a bank that offers different buckets I’ve done that a couple times, most time I do the cash envelope method and I always use the budget sheet or excel tracker to keep track and know how much I’ve spent & have left in each category. I do this every Sunday
Hey Tobi, What app do you use to save up for things? You mentioned saving up for a car, birthday gifts and so on… Do you have an app recommendation that helps save based on each category?

Hey, I use my EQ bank savings account to save for those things and it has a tracker for each goal.
I used to budget but this days I just YOLO😢 and I really don't like it... Need to get myself back
Haha, I feel you on that one 😂😭😭
