    Your Uniqlo videos get so much more views. You should consider doing comparison videos where you measure Uniqlo against higher end brands offerings

    Came up with a good idea for your channel. Sock materials and how differently they handle the heat.
    I feel like a lot of us hear about different materials, things like bamboo, polyester, cotton. But I have yet to see a practical test done with them to see who handles the heat the best.

      Good idea! I especially like bamboo/rayon on my underwear/aloha shirts. Will have to check out bamboo socks one of these days...

    I think you'd love Abercombrie and fitch's clothes. They have a bunch of cropped stuff and things that look really good. Been meaning to buy some more of their stuff once i've done my cut.
    The uniqlo videos are great, not just for the info but they seem to do well in views. Especially now with summer upon us. Maybe do a "best shorts at Uniqlo?" video

      Thanks for the rec, never bought from A&F but given their recent revival maybe it's finally time to...
      Uniqlo shorts don't really do it for me, I might do a vid on their polos or some other category, I think.

      I would agree mainly because its not my style. But the short chino shorts are solid.

    How would you determine the proper length for a sleeve? I've read on some sources it says to the first knuckle of your thumb when unbuttoned

      @@subtlesartorialist Hey I just bought OCBD from muji and uniqlo! Before comparing, would like to say that in Australia (where I'm from) Uniqlo sizes one size smaller than Asia. So a Muji size XL = Uniqlo size L = what I bought. I also tend to size up on dress shirts to avoid the overly slim look.
      Some initial impressions,
      - Collar gap is bigger on the uniqlo. i.e. I think the collar fits a bit loose for me. Muji looks good.
      - Muji sleeve lengths is about 4cm shorter than the Uniqlo, but I prefer my sleeve lengths to reach the first knuckle of my thumb unbuttoned as this ensures the cuff won't pull away from my wrist when I bend my arms.
      - Armhole on Muji is way too massive but all these issues are what you get from saving money on RTW anyways.

      Really depends if you're looking at refined/sartorial OCBDs or something more heritage inspired. Check out Spier & Mackay, Proper Cloth, Collaro, Mercer & Son, Gitman, Land's End, Drake's, Kamakura etc

    On an unrelated note, how's their linen shirt?

    • @subtlesartorialist
      @subtlesartorialist  2 месяца назад +1

      The collar is too floppy for my liking, so not really wearable with jackets. By itself or over a t-shirt, I think it looks fine. Also feels pretty soft for a linen fabric.
