Hi Jenny Your method for HST is fast and easy. Thank you so much for sharing and your quilts are absolutely beautiful. I started quilting in 1988. and this is by far the easiest method I have seen. Thank you again. Gloria.
I meant to say something earlier... Thank you SO much for showing us what the one charm pack size would look like! I rarely want to make the full sizes of the quilts but love making little ones. Thank you thank you!
Interested on yardage for borders on large quilt...LOVE the new magazine. You have brought so much joy to others with your talents. Thank you for all the inspirations you share with us.
I LOVE the way this comes together! I watched the first part of this video and thought "too much work with two kinds of blocks". thank goodness for auto play and binge watching. I watched the rest of the video and this quilt just moved up on the list of quilts to make. Can't wait
Love this quilt (and Jenny.) Started making this and realized the importance of the "sample" block Jenny speaks about. It is possible to sew your ½ square triangles together white-to-white (like you're supposed to) and they'll still be wrong. I had to take out about ¾ of my stack once I realized why my blocks weren't going together right. Now that I have my sample block completed and handy to reference, I'm on a roll! 😃
I love JENNY tutorials. they show me about pre-cuts quilt made easy. I t helps me , because my eyes have a blind spot .So cutting is hard.I have made 2 quilts using pre-cuts. thank you Jenny.
LOVE this pattern. Layer cakes work by making 8 HST at a time. I am trying it with an Esprit Maisson Layer Cake and home cut cream 10" squares. Your tutorials are wonderful and have helped me make quilts for 30 some relatives from my mother's 20 year stash of fabric she had saved up.
I wanted to see a quilt with triangles only and I found this one. Wow, it's amazing! I watched it 2 times already and if I will make this, I will watch this video a lot of times. Love the way you explain it.
Jenny really should have mentioned that all of these blocks are constructed and cute with all bias edges! More, more, more attention to pressing directions, and the fact that the half square triangles all need to be squared up after cutting them. This looks simple, but more for an intermediate quilt maker.
Jenny!!!! This one is even more fun than the strip quilt done on foundation paper. I've made four of the blocks using scraps of 2 1/2 inch strips. Loved it so much, I had to cut more strips. BUT this one, the Half Square Triangle Quilt, is even MORE FUN. Made a block last night. Couldn't wait. Had to try it. And if you coordinate your scraps, you can get another type of look. Absolutely such a fun block to work with. Thank you for making it soooooooooo fun.
Greetings from Indonesia 💖. I started quilting because of you. You're the best tutor on youtube. In this Ramadhan month, making a quilt makes fasting seems quicker...lol.
Thanks again Jenny...another wonderful tut! I agree with Dee - you are killing me - so many ideas and so little time!! But what a way to go ;-) Love my "BLOCK" mag. Working on the Disappearing Pinwheel (Shoofly). Love love it. My son asked me for another quilt (king size) So the Shoofly is getting a few extra borders and sashing. But I'm using the basic pattern. The other quilts I have made so far with your tuts. have been beautiful. May never leave my sewing room. Thanks again!
Jenny, this is by far one of my very favorite blocks to sew up!!!! Gives you so many fun & beautiful variations you can achieve with choice fabrics!! Love all your tutorials...thank you for every single one of them!! :)
Jenny, I like this darling quilt. With my charm pack I purchased from you, I now know what to do with it - a baby quilt! Thanks so much for your wonderful tutorials. I love your style.
I just started watching your older tutorials. I'm having so much fun, especially watching the ones from 2011. You have come so far, Miss Jenny. Be blessed because you and your family (to include your family of employees) are a blessing to me and others. Thanks for what you do!
Jenny, I just started an April Showers "Exploding Block"quilt, and I have my Surrounded by Love "Love Letters" quilt on my cutting table. Now I want to sew this "Four Seasons" quilt! I'm going to have to hire help! Thank you for all the beautiful quilt tutorials! P.S. Love my Block magazine!
I love your gigantic cutting board. I have a 2x3 chest freezer and decided to top it with a handmade ironing board. It works great, so I added a ruffled skirt in the same color. Improves the sewing room/kitchen. My cutting board is tiny... a cutting board on that surface would be sweet.
I have been using you method of sewing the squares for half-square triangles. So much easier! Now if I can get my snowballs to come out correctly (haha). Thanks again for the tutorial!
Oh..Jenny you are killing me ,with all this new ideas ,and all this cute easy blocks. When I'm going to find the time for all this quilt? I don't want you to stop.I love them all!!!.SO MANY QUILTS SO LITTLE TIME!!!!,I still working on the big star quilt..LOve all your tuts..Keep them coming. One day i will catch up ..Thanks..You are MARVELOUS.!!!!!!
I have just finished all the squares for Keegan's quilt but had a little difficulty at first due to the fact that the color to color can go together two different ways as can the white to white, which I didn't realize, at first, and so I found out the hard way but once I watched this tutorial again, I had it!....It has turned out pretty good but the squares weren't as even as they could be but it still turned out pretty darn good.....thanks for all your tutorials!
I am using 4" squares because that is what I have. I am starting to make blocks and so far so good. I am going to make a lap quilt for my Mom. :) I will send you a picture when done. Wish me luck! Thanks for the great tutorials.
Thank you Jenny, this video was enjoyable to watch and the quilt looks like I could make it. Your method of making the half square triangles is a lot of fun to create also. I have been doing this for a few years now and it just works every time.
I made the cutest little baby quilt out of this pattern using the "Chance of flowers" charm pack combined with a matching solid charm pack. I used some yardage I had on hand for the borders/ binding & a soft baby print for the back.. It only took me 2 days to make the whole quilt (from start to finish) & since I got the charm packs from your store ,on the daily deal (separately & at different times), under $5 for both, it was way cheap to make! I couldn't have made it so fast, or so inexpensively, if not for Your tutorials, the links to Your store, The daily deals, those wonderful pre-cuts (& lots of prayer!) I have been making lots of baby things for my daughters 1st baby, due in aug, in fact I have sewed so much baby stuff i hit kind of a baby stuff rut. The problem was I still needed to make a nice quilt that could be for either a boy or a girl to be given at a shower we were throwing Her on Sunday (It was already Thursday by then!) I remembered that I got those charm packs & had seen this tutorial so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it came together, how nice it turned out & that it will be great for either a boy or a girl! Unfortunately I was in such a hurry to get it done i didn't get a picture of it to share but I'll try to remember to take one next time I visit. Thank You so much for sharing Your love of this craft through these tutorials. My skills/confidence have grown so much over the past 3 & a half years because of them I feel ready to tackle The double wedding ring. Is there any chance You could do a tutorial for that?
I love this process. I have never mastered triangles but have tried your method using scrap fabric and was successful! I cannot wait to create a quilt. Think of using Robert Kauffman batiks.
Such a pretty yellow. I love your half square triangles, so easy to make. I admit I use spray sizing before I cut triangles, it lessens stretch out deforming.
Jenny you and your whole team are simply awesome. You make everything look so easy for learners like myself. Your tutorials are so easy to follow and flawless, it’s just like learning from a mom. Thank you so much for your time effort, fantastic videos and such a fun ideas. Be blessed now and always. xxx
I have one suggestion I have when using this method. After you sew all 4 corners, but before you cut them, take them to ironing board, spray with Best Press or other spray sizing and iron. This will keep the edges from stretching, since your edges are on the bias.
I fell in love with this as the youtube video, and see it in the block. I am DEFINITELY going to do this. But I have so MANY ideas from you that I can't find the time!!! lol I am going to make the one with the circles on the squares first with flame fabric and black that I have had since 2003... I'm not a pack rat!! Not at all. Anyway, the first quilt I made from your videos was the disappearing pinwheel. I posted pictures on your facebook. You are such an inspiration. Thanks.
Can't wait to meet you in person in Pittsburgh, PA. in May!!!! Working on a disappearing nine patch right now. Great new tutorial. Can't wait to try it out.
Jenny, I found this creative grid ruler that lets you mark the points where the seams should intersect. Its super helpful for people like me who are not very good at eyeballing when I should turn at the corners when I'm sewing the two squares together. I think its called the square up fussy cut ruler. There are holes in the ruler where the seams intersect for any size square, so you can place a little mark to show you where you should pivot at the corners.
Love this quilt. Need to check to see if I have enough charm packs or if I need (want) to order more. Decisions, decisions, decisions. I will have to live to be over 100 to get all of the quilts done that you have made me fall in love with. Thanks
Love this - one of my favorites!! - I could never pick just one as a favorite. Thanks so much. Wish I lived closer to your store!! Thank goodness for internet and on-line shopping. LOL.
Adoro sus tutoriales, admiro muchisimo el talento que comparte con todos...los sigo siempre!!...estoy recien comenzando en el patchwork y la barrera del idioma se hace chica con su talento...muchisimas gracias!!!
I love this quilt and am making it for my grandson, Keegan, I made the Big Star quilt for his sister, Skyllore. I watch you almost every day going over the quilts I like. I have learned so much from watching your video's. Thanks for having these tutorials.
I love your tutorials. Your demonstrations are easy to watch. I'm on my way out to buy fabrics to make this. It's going to be a rainy weekend. Now I can look forward to it. Thanks for all you do !! Think I will buy Christmas colors :)
I love your Ideas! Soooo much to learn! I just want to make one of each!!! The tutorials are so well explained! Thank you so much ! My sister -in-law and I are going to try to find ur shop in May ! Im so excited! We live 50 miles west of St. Louis ,Mo!!! Sooooo ,see ya in may!
Al, Heather, SOMEBODY! Get behind that table and clear a path before Jenny trips and breaks a hip! lol....Thanks for another great tutorial Jenny. I have some Charms in my stash that will be perfect for this.
Just beautiful Jenny, another idea I will have to try. The quilts look so bright and springy. Thanks for another great tutorial, I don't know how you keep coming up with such beautiful ideas. P.S. I saw you on Fons & Porters show making your ruffled tea towel apron. Will have to try that also.
Jenny, I see a Wedding Ring quilt in some of your video's. I'd love a tutorial on that, or where I can find it if you've done one already. Your such a fantastic teacher. I don't think I'd be half as excited as I am about quilting if I hadn't found your tutorials. :) Thank you very much.
I love Jenny's tutorials too - she gives everyone confidence to quilt-like-a-pro! In all my 66 years I have never had so much fun at a sewing machine until she came along! Thanks Jenny - can't wait to see you in April in Ormand Beach!
Love this quilt, delicate and fast. Im looking to make a queen size quilt. Can you tell me how many charm packs I need. Thank You Jenny, the whole team there is just awesome.

+Nancy Davis I did the same thing, only did not realize it until all white to white were sewn together, unhappy ripping!
Great tutorial Jenny I like the use of these triangles cut in different patterns to create a new quilt block.
I love JENNY tutorials. they show me about pre-cuts quilt made easy. I t helps me , because my eyes have a blind spot .So cutting is hard.I have made 2 quilts using pre-cuts. thank you Jenny.

I love Jenny's tutorials too - she gives everyone confidence to quilt-like-a-pro! In all my 66 years I have never had so much fun at a sewing machine until she came along! Thanks Jenny - can't wait to see you in April in Ormand Beach!
