Today my cousin is the CEO of his own company, and his wife who is also legally blind, a professor. My daughter is grew up autistic. She is now 31, married, and has given me two amazing grandsons. Today She and her husband run a multi million dollar black Angus cattle ranch in Pennsylvania, oh and BTW, she is also a registered nurse. So here's my point: Whether you want to believe it or not, Kodi was born with a "God given talent," and that's something you agnostics and atheists turn a blind eye to. Oh, did I mention that Kodi is now a millionaire and will soon be signing contracts to top recording labels? .....Just sayin'

I watched this for the first time last night (Kodi's performance on Talent Recap), and I think I re-ran that video *at least* 5 or 6 times!! This guy has more talent in his little finger, than I've got in my whole body... and I've been playing various instruments and singing for a long time (like since the 1970's). He remind's me so much of a young Elton John, it's scary!😮😁 Elton John, Billy Joel, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel... take your pick. Kodi Lee is the embodiment of all these guys and more. He sings from the bottom of his soul, and his piano skills are outstanding!! Really appreciate the quick reaction on this, and for the haters, *take a chill pill people...* you have no idea what kind of bravery it takes for someone that is autistic *AND* blind to get on a stage and pull this off. He may not see, but his other senses feel and hear what's going on around him, a lot sharper than you and I. As a trained musician I cannot say that Kodi is a "polished" performer, but I can say that Kodi sings from a place that few musicians will ever reach. It is so far beyond what can be taught!! It is pure raw emotion and talent with no pretence, excuses, or apologies. If society as a whole had a fraction of Kodi's understanding your world would be a much better place.
Good for you removing the haters, definitely don't need them. This man is an amazing man, and there is a video about him going around the internet that explains a little more about him. A psychiatrist said that he does fall into the area of a music savant, and also has perfect pitch, a very very small part of the population has this. I love that he has come out and performed and shown that everyone matters. No matter what barriers you have or challenges you have, you can still persevere. Thank you for posting about him and your reaction. For your own self, you may also like to look up the blind Tom Sullivan (in his late 50's by now I think, maybe 60's) also a musician among other things. It would be wonderful if Kodi won it.
I am crying with you; I saw this kid when he was 12 years old. He played the piano and sing like I had never seen or heard before. The was at the old Benson Grist Mill here in Stansbury Park, Utah. All of a sudden I see him on TV and he won.............. Then I recapped all his performances and all i did was just crying. This boy came out a free and God gifted man. My wish is to have watched this together with you, I am sure we felt the exact same thing. Hugs to you, you're a very nice person.
