Check out Tommy Igoes DVD 📀 - Great hands for a lifetime. That helped my traditional grip out loads and playing along with the dvd is great. Keep at it, this time three years ago I started using traditional and I finally can play at about 200 BPM relaxed. In matched grip I can push even further. Great videos bud 👍🏻 Rob Brown is great 👍🏻
Hey Darryn I admire your persistence with this resolution. I question the aim of aiming for zero tension and whether similar to body building whether some limits need to be pushed so muscles repair stronger. If drummers were valued as much as footy players we'd be working with sports scientists and have the answers to these questions.
The left hand repetition is apparently how stick control should be practised as well. Before moving onto the next exercise, do 2 bars of singles with the left (or weaker) hand.
I haven’t seen all your single strokes updates but always very interesting to catch up with your progress Darryn! I’m puzzled how much work and investigation is required to get decent singles. Even more frustrating with match grip. The stone killer has definitely helped a great deal.

Many thanks Darren , it is very tricky to get that single stroke up to tempo & accurate , I'm working on this 😊
