    Your flowchart method for B/B increased my score by 2-3 points. Any strategy for C/P and P/S and making sure you don’t get caught with timing? Thank you so much

      Flowcharting will help with CP/PS as well! For CP, be solid on equations and units, for PS, pay attention to experimental methods and be solid on all the sciences. For both, figure interpretation is important, so check out our “Crack the Code” video to brush up on those skills!

    How do you get through reviewing a FLE in a single day? I follow your instructions on how to review a FLE but it still takes me 5 hours just to get half way through the C/P section. First, I read the passage and then go through each question so I can remember my thought process when taking the test. For incorrect question or questions I got right but was just lucky I identify the basic science, assess why I missed it and then make and Anki card in my "FLE missed concepts" anki deck. Any tips on speeding this process up would be appreciated as I am in the last month and need to review an exam every other day but am afraid that's impossible, since ive yet to be able to review an exam in a single day...even though maggie says its not lol!

      That’s amazing!! I use the flowchart on CP, BB, and PsS so make sure you’re using it on all 3 science sections. Past that, most students struggle on CP and PS due to either content gaps (watch our Anki x Khan Academy video) or misinterpretation of the question (watch our “Simplifying the Question Stem” video)

    Can I unsuspend Anki cards based on the topic instead of creating a new missed concepts deck?

    @4:10
    How do you make Anki Deck flash cards for incorrect questions that involve more than a a factoid? For example, a question that asked “what did the researcher’s assume during this experiment”
    Or
    “What was the significance of adding Protein X to this experiment?”
    Thanks

      that's a GREAT question!! To answer it, you've gotta first make sure you understand that making an Anki card is only the "fix" if the reason you missed the question was because you don't know a specific science. On questions like those you listed, the mistake is usually within your passage interpretation. On IFD, we teach the "Flowchart Method" for going through science passages. So to answer your question, you probably wouldn't make an Anki card as your point of improvement on those cards unless you did interpret the passage properly and still missed the question because of a science gap

    I have 6 weeks til test day - any tips to break my low 500 score? Got a 506 today but even w cars practice can’t get that score up at all - 124 for that, 127 for chem/phys and psych/soc, then 128 bio/biochem

    Hi, I have a question. If I watch the Khan academy videos and actively study them and do the passages. Is that enough or do I need to get some sort of books?

  • @isaiah2957

    What is the best way to efficiently review practice questions during content review? I've found that if I make an anki card for every question I get wrong I end up with a deck that takes me 3+ hours to get through which takes time away from learning content and doing practice questions.

    • @InformingFutureDoctors
      @InformingFutureDoctors  2 года назад +4

      You should only be making an Anki card for improvement if you genuinely didn't know the basic science the question was testing you on. If you're feeling like over 80% of the questions you miss are due to a science issue, I want to encourage you review a little closer and try to find the "clues" in the passage that Maggie and myself point out in our passage breakdowns on the channel. However, if you're having to spend 3+ hours reviewing content that you just missed on an exam, that's much better time spent than 3 hours of content learning for subjects that may/may not even appear on a practice exam.
