I scored a 473 on my diagnostic so hope it makes you feel better. Let's just say it was a humbling moment for me. Since then I've increased almost 30 points and hope I'll continue to improve. Thanks for sharing your MCAT journey so honestly.

Thank you so much for posting this!! I'm in month 4 of studying for the MCAT and I will be testing by next year, and l've been learning the question types and do my best to practice as many questions as possible. I watch a lot of videos here on RUclips and with practice, practice, practice. It's nice to hear advice from Good teachers here on RUclips who remembers that the struggle is real with this exam. Thank you again!! (Also, for the young ones worrying about not getting into Medical school soon...I'm 39 and will be 40 when (if accepted) I begin Medical school. Yup, I'm changing careers! So keep your head up, study and practice and remember you got this!)

You got this!!! Just keep your head down and grind. It will come in time. And love that you are making that move - it's never too late to chase a fulfilling career.

The truth is some people are just good test takers, and others are not. I didnt study much but passed easily. I know people who studied a lot and didnt pass. The most improtant thing is to work on staying calm during the test, and confident. Come up with little sayings and ways to remember stuff just like MR Tony always told me. I made up phrases that only made sense to me to remember things.

Thank you so much Sam. My 87 year ild grandpa has always wanted to be a doctor. I showed this video to him and he decided to take the MCAT. He took it and got a $599.99. He died a day after taking the test. Thank you so much again 🙏🏻

Watching this 16 days out and realising I made the same mistakes as you did. I spent WAY too long on content review, studied passively and did no practice, and now I feel like I know nothing. I just hope i break 500 on the real deal (on the 31st) and then God willing achieve my goal score on my retake!

I’m retaking the exam 2 weeks from today. I love anki! Anki helped me remember information in decks I studied weeks or even months ago. Part of the reason I didn’t get a good score in 9/2023 was that I spent close to 9 months studying to do unforeseen medical and family circumstances. I quit my job in 2/2024 to focus on studying. I also take Sunday off every week. I signed up for a June test date in February to keep me motivated and not burn out. Last year I felt like the studying would never end. I’ve been more anxious with test day approaching BUT I’ve been less stressed for most of my prep (and scoring well on exams).

Quick Q about postponing want to get your advice - I test Jan 24 and. feel decently prepared, taking a FL Jan 12 to ultimately decide before the 10 day window if I am going to cancel, but currently every test is booked up through April and I would need to test in March/April to apply in a timely manner this cycle, so if I were to cancel my test, do you think the probability is high that a March or April date opens up closer to test date? And if so, what do I lose by testing Jan 24? I guess there is the element of uncertainty of my score and I won't know whether or not to study hard through February until I get that score back. Awesome video btw, thanks for sharing man and lmk.

LMAO, I am doing the MCAT for the first time, and I didn't realize that people schedule for this exam centuries before they give it, so now I am also having to travel to another province to take it. It's ok; I will travel, still give it, and still apply to med school. Ain't no bitch stopping me.
