Love the idea of breaking up freezer meals into smaller portions! I'm typically only cooking for myself and love the idea of making more of a recipe to freeze, but sometimes it's just so much!
i don’t know how you have so much energy! i had to switch from watching these as ‘clean with me’ videos to “clean my stuff then watch me clean” because i couldn’t keep up. lol you’d make me exhausted just watching you and then i’d need a break. 😂 anyway, the home is coming along beautifully and i’ll have to give your apple crisp a try!
Haha 😊 Please don't feel like you need to "keep up", remember that all of these videos are sped up and a highlight reel! Plenty of other times I just need to sit down and rest!
Speaking of freezer meals. I started ordering 8x8 foil pans from Amazon. It makes a perfect portion for 2 or 3 people. When my daughter was in college I loved making freezer meals for not only my house but I would pop over to her apartment and sneak meals into her freezer too.
I totally agree on large freezer meals. This past spring I made about 300 individual freezer meals (I have 2 separate freezers which is ridiculous). My husband is very picky and therefore I am basically cooking for 1. I preportioned them into ziploc bags and even "filed" them in the chest freezer so they were completely alternating among the different meals so I didn't get burned out. I used some older silicone molds I had that were 1/2 cup size (and made larger portions by freezing the whole meal into a rectangle and cutting into squares once frozen). Coincidentally shortly before seeing souper cubes on your channel, I saw a version at Bed Bath (progressive brand maybe, it was inferior). Anyways, I was like the more structured silicone is way better for this. So I had gotten one that is like souper cubes but cheaper for half cup and just added one cup and two cup souper cube brand. I love how square the souper cubes are (and the other cheaper brand I found as well for the half cup size) vs sloped sides. My ideal is to, (next time I make massive amounts of freezer meals) once I have maybe 30 or more diff kinds is to put maybe 7-8 already frozen individual portions into one vacuum seal bag. I did individual portioned vacuum seal bags for each meal once and that was too much effort/plastic/space. But vacuum sealing about 8 assorted meal portions seems reasonable in terms of effort, space, and when opening them, I use them fast enough so they don't yucky from the freezer.
WOW! That is impressive! The square ones are perfect! I really like the shape of the souper cubes too and the quality is so much better than a lot of silicone molds that flop all over the place!
I’m loving your new kitchen. I also have the same issue of having a hard time reaching the center of my island. I had to laugh at you struggling to put the cover back on the pregnancy pillow. 😘
Have you considered the KitchenAid mixer spiralizer attachment? It isn't something I use often, but really nice to have in some cases. It will peel those apples lickety split. Doesn't take up much room. Better than either a hand peeler or a manual "apple peeler."
Hi Sophie, Apple crisp, YUM. I like your green accent wall in the baby's room. What a lucky little boy to have parents like you and Jim. Please take care! Best wishes, Sue
It must feel good to have your own. Was it you that lived with n Seattle? My sister had Cafe Luna in Dow Seattle. Also, I found a journal by happy journal. Last year I listed 3 role models: you, Cambria and Jennifer Mowan. I thought to myself how nice to see how long I was following you ladies on You Tube . Have a great day!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So nice to see you in your new space, so beautiful. You got lots of space for everything. Yay sophisticated baby boy is on his way😀. Blessed Saturday to you and yours.❤️
Thank you for sharing your Apple Crisp recipe. Looks yummy!🥰 It was fun to get a peek at the nursery. I know it's going to look adorable when completed. Hope you and Jim have a great weekend!
Im sooo happy for you! What a year,a new house and new baby! Your house is so beautiful, may you only have happy and healthy days in it! When you pack your bag for the hospital, remember your husbands bag. When I was having my second,my husband left the hospital to grab something to eat while I was sleeping.Well,he nearly missed the birth of his daughter! Pack plenty of food and snacks for him.Learn from my mistakes, lol.
Great job as usual Sophie! I loved every bit of this. You definitely motivate and make things look so easy, lol I have the same problem as you reaching the center of countertops but I am definitely not pregnant! Just a big belly, lol! Can’t wait to meet baby boy!!!! I still remember watching your first video and thinking wow this girl is going to do great things on YT💜. Tell Jim “HI” from me!! ✋🏻
Another video that I really enjoyed watching. Sophie, I just have to ask. Do you know all these recipes by heart ? I never see you even glance at a recipe card. 👩🍳
Hi, Sophie. I am enjoying watching you make your house a home, especially as I just moved as well. You are inspiring me to organize! And I am excited about baby boy!! Question, where did you get your duvet cover? I am having the hardest time finding one that doesn't look like a sheet. Thanks!
Congratulations on your move! I hope it is going smoothly! I got it from Macys, it is DKNY. I have always found macys to be a great place to look for reasonably priced high quality bedding - especially when they have a sale going on!
hi, I just found your channel and loving all the organization, yay!!! I am all for organizing! could you give me a link to the thing you use to hold your large baking pans in the top cupboard?
Makes me think of the childhood poem. Jack Spratt could eat no fat. His wife could eat no lean. And so betwixt them both you see, they licked the platter clean. You compliment each other.
It sure is a beautiful family.Thanks.Congratulations to you as well.I know how exciting. How many weeks are you?have your prepare everything and bought everything yet?
@@kieranskinner7248 A little over 32 now! We aren't quite fully prepared yet! But working on getting all the last minute items, figuring out our car seat, packing hospital bags, etc. over the next few weekends!
You two strike me as a good team. It will make ALL the difference in the world as you move forward as parents and partners! 😊
I hope so! 💓😊

Thank you! It is from Macys!
I love your couch, where did you purchase it from? we are having a hard time. Love your channel
Is your baby's name going to be Garrett? I thought you said that name while in his room. Your house is looking beautiful!
Haha nope! Not Garrett!
Okay, thanks! It sure sounded like you said Garrett, but now I can't for the life of me figure out exactly what it was you did say.
Can you please share a link if possible for your decorative bowl that you keep on your island ? thanks :)
It is from zgallerie! I'm not sure if they make it anymore though!
@@SophisticatedOrganization Oh I will check it out. Do you know approximately how wide it is by any chance ?
hi, I just found your channel and loving all the organization, yay!!! I am all for organizing! could you give me a link to the thing you use to hold your large baking pans in the top cupboard?
Could you use better instead of coconut oil? Not sure, if I have coconut oil in the pantry right now.
You probably could! It might change the flavor a tiny bit but in a crisp it should be an okay switch!
Buy yourself a apple peeler it’s worth it !! It cords and slices them also. And you can make your own
Homemade apple or pear sauce for baby
You're right, I need one! And omg yes, I plan to make lots of baby foods so I will really need it!

I haven't heard that one before but I like it!
