How I Do a DRY Wash n' Go on STRETCHED Hair!

I could wash and condition my hair at night, t-shirt dry it and add a leave in, bun it, then wash n go it in the morning!!! Wintertime Genius!! Thank you!

Girl! You had me cracking up! I do my hair in the bathroom with the door closed just cause I don't want nobody seeing me dancing and acting a fool when my song come on😂 My husband don't even know that my hair wouldn't take as long if I wasn't in there dancing and singing!

OMG!!!! Girl I can't thank you enough for showing me this technique. Girlllllll I finally have RUclips hair!!!😂😂😂 you know what I'm talking about.....when you get on youtube and it seems that everybody's hair and curls are popping and moisturized. I used xtreme wetline gel and a lil hair grease....yes grease cauaw oils and my hair don't like each other. I didn't have a crunch at all. I'm 4 days in and my hair is still on point. I let it dry over night and didn't take the usual 2 days. Anyway I am feeling myself and my curls have given me "new life" the bounce and shine I have is AMAZING!!! I won't do a regular wash n go anymore. 😍😍🙌🙌🙌 Thank you girl!! P.s. I have no frizz and my hair hasn't dries out from this Extreme heat in hot GA!!
I never used gel in my 4b hair... although I admire the wash and go look/style on women. However after watching this video and being inspired I went out and purchased eco styler gel... I am totally using the method that you have showed... and I am loving the results! Of course I have shrinkage due to the kinky texture/pattern of my hair... but you are so right about the eco styler gel... my curls & kinks are popping... I am in shocked!

Some people say that because gels are known to be drying to the hair which is why we have to use a moisturizer or leave-in conditioner (not too thick and not too much though) on our hair before we put the gel in. You also want to choose a gel that has no alcohol. Even then, some people's hair just won't do well with gel while others have no issues. You'll just have to try it and see but it is true that gels and gel type products seem to be the best for wash-n-go styles. I use gel every day with no problem (and my hair is passed by shoulders) but everyone's hair is different.
I've been doing this with homemade flaxseed gel (Naptural85's recipe) and it works great!! You can also stretch your hair using the banding method. Works every time!
It worked so much better for frizz than on wet hair and I have fine hair so this definitely will be my wash n go/dry n go routine
This is pretty much the only way I can achieve a wash and go tho! lol. My hair does not know how to act if I attempt a wash and go on wet hair

Yes I have! I use either that or kinky curly curling custard and they both work great for me
I just used the Kinky curly for my twist out last week and my hair was kinda dry I think I'm going to layer it next time.
oh yes. you definitely want to layer it. my hair was already moisturized before drying. It lasted a week for me and was shiny, defined and frizz free the entire time

I did this last night, and loving the results. I only used a little bit of water for my back sections, and hardly any water on the front sections. Dry time was so quick compared to doing the standard wash n go. I'll be doing this from now on as the weather is getting colder.
Love this! I do the exact same thing but I do it with a thick conditioner instead of gel. Definition is always pawpin!

See this is what I'm talking about right here!!! This is the only way I can get a stretched wash and go I have to do it on Dry hair. That's pretty much the way I've been doing it forever. My hair just shrinks up to absolutely Nothing when I wash it. It takes a week to stretch out (prob 3 -4 days I'm exaggerating) but anyway I'm subscribing girl!!!!!!! Love love your videos.

I just slap some conditioner & finger detangle it by section on dry hair. Yep no water. The Trader Joe's Nourish Spa conditioner is awesome for this technique...well if u dont mind the silicone (which I don't). Plus there's a light hold so no gel needed

The best wash and go ever for my hair. To avoid the crunch I used both gel and just a little curl activator.

ayeeee @ that dance break! you are so cute! I've done this before, with water and SM curl enhancing smoothie--if my hair isn't too dirty it's a nice way to get a few extra days out of the style without having to do a full on wash.

I did this the other day before I saw your video and had the same experience! It actually came out prettier than usual. I live in Florida and the humidity is brutal so the crunch goes away fast anyway

Aloe Vera gel is a great hair jell. It's very moisturizing it's used to treat sun burn. So it will moisturizer the hair

I have not mastered my hair as of yet, and especially not the wash n go. I have been wearing it straight using old school rollers, lol. But my hair dream is to get the full curly wash n go look. So, I will try this method as a last ditch effort.

I prefer doing this method. damp to dry hair always works best for me. if I have soak n wet hair, then it just turns into an Afro. 4b-4c hair

sometimes adding coconut oil with the eco styled gel helps with the crunch :)
