      @@youn177 Most of these laptops require specific fans, I had experience with an older Acer Aspire 5 model. The fans can be ordered on AliExpress and are not that expensive. I had luck that there was a store in my country which had the fan I needed, I paid a bit more for it but the delivery took only a couple days.

    i just cleaned the fan a few days ago but this black tape which holds the fan cable (in your video at 2:44) is not so sticky anymore and is doing noises when the fan is on. Do you know which tape this is to replace it?

      Pry tools aren't expensive, but if you have one something like a guitar pick will work.
      A plastic card should work too, but might be a bit too flexible.

    Also where can you find the fan itself? I cant seem to find any model number or part id for the fan.

    Why you didn't bother to paste the second thermal contact on the CPU? Wasn't it some factory defect they forgot to apply paste on it?

    • @BrueComputing
      @BrueComputing  3 года назад +9

      The second chip on the package is the PCH (Platform Controller Hub, what you'd traditionally call the South Bridge), not the CPU.
      It doesn't really need it, it isn't there initially by design. You can apply it if you want though.

      Hello sir/ma'am, I asked my uncle about that once (he is a electrical technician). He said that power supply and battery should be removed from the gadget or appliances before fixing its main problem for safety purposes because of live wire due to the electricity stored in the battery. That's what he said. Sort of? That was a long time ago though.
