In Buddha Garden May 6th - May 11th 2024

Its been another hot week when we have concentrated on using the leaves to create our first compost bin full of compost. This meant we also had to do a lot of weeding to get the necessary green material for the compost. As with it being so hot most of the grass has completely dried out. By the end of the week we were well on the way and the compost heap will hopefully be finished next week. We’ve also planted more basil seedlings as well as giving our bassella spinach some liquid fertilizer. To improve the germination of our microgreens we’ve created a misting system for the full nursery which has the advantage of being a cool place to go when the heat gets too much! On one day we got very excited with dark skies and thunder as we thought it was going to rain. It did rain in some parts but unfortunately not in Buddha Garden. But it showed the rain is not far away, so perhaps it will come soon which will be very good for our exceptionally dry soil.
