No, but it does mean, don't drive in their blind spot.
It's not easy driving a HGV and they do not have the same handling, acceleration and braking. But they do supply us with everything we need. A bit of courtesy would make everyone's day a lot safer.
Btw I'm not a HGV driver. Just someone who uses his brain when driving.
A van indicated and pulled out on me last night on motorway, presuming his indicators gave him the right to. I chased him down and pulled in front. Turned my lights off and on, off and on. He realised he had his headlights off in pitch black, I moved across to lane one and let him get on his merry way. Why, because we all want to go home safe.
Looks like Jonathan was in the lane for Bournemouth then cuts into the lane for Poole.
My dad does that with trucks around roundabouts and it really pisses me off. Give him some room what's the problem? Better lane positioning in the first place would have helped but seriously..

Gotta agree... The tanker was trapped by the passing van, he indicated, and you could easily have given him a chance; with minimal inconvenience to yourself. We need a degree of tolerance and forgiveness on our roads; not the pointless assertion of one's superiority in any given situation.
I think we all know what the A in his name stands for!

Big dinner - you stopped, so he went and was nowhere near you, he would have been even further away, had you actually gone round the roundabout instead of going over the top.
Not to mention being incredibly rude to the Merc for pretty much no reason really, it wouldn’t of hurt him to let that one go, it obviously looked like a busy junction, people are too worried about being in front though to use common sense...

3:56 the lorry driver was indicating way before the self-righteous dashcam driver was near him, so common sense is to curiously let the lorry make his manoeuvre and not fight for the road.

Pisses me off, majority of these are completely avoidable and non-events with even the slightest bit of patience and foresight from the dashcammers, fucking idiots
Once I remember driving behind someone on a very dark country road, woman driver she drove off the road and deep into a ditch. No cars for miles and no one was around and her car was on the side, no way she could get out. She was obviously a stupid woman driver so I left her. Under no legal obligation was I to help (we have no Samaritan law in England) No idea what happened to her . Hopefully one less stupid woman driver on road.
Here’s hoping the cause of the accident wasn’t something like a heart attack or any other medical emergency.
Incidentally, what did your mother say when you told her?

Ofcourse typical dashcammer speed up to the incident get on the horn and get a decent clip
Not only that, the driver was actually in a merge lane, not a give way... Hence the single instead of the double white line.
WHY DON'T PEOPLE LET OTHER PEOPLE OUT......oh but he had to get to his destination 1 car earlier.... but then took a different route 20 secs later after driving aggressively!! Or the cam driver should just admit he has no ability to read the road and didn't see that someone was waiting to join. He does sound like the beast, the devil, Beelzebub himself ;)
@@Michelle_Schu-blacka... You still have to give way at broken white lines, you can't just pull out and expect traffic in the road to move or stop for you.
Having said that, the clip was a total non-event. No need for any of it.
And in the next clip you can see that he doesn't even have enough money for a decent set of wipers and gets angry at someone else while going over a roundabout instead of around it.

It's becoming quite apparent over the last few months that many (Not all I hasten to add!) of the "dash cammers" are, themselves, not really that good at being drivers.
They seem to have an inept ability to drive rationally.
Then they'll honk their horn when the "offending" car is now a quarter of a mile down the road!
Or...
They'll honk their horn and take no preventative action to try to avoid any accident. Because they're probably looking for the "record" button on their cameras.
They will also come to a complete stop, when a complete stop isn't even needed.
Then, with other traffic now having to stop too, and wondering "what the fuck's going on?", they then have to spend the next 30 seconds finding and pressing the "save" button (For UK Dash cameras!) on their dash cams.
Then they have to start figuring out how to get the car to move forwards once they've scratched their pronounced foreheads.
And whilst all the time they are stopped, more and more traffic is also having to stop to watch them pressing their record button and figure out how to get their car out of everyone else's way.

yeah, weirdly it's especially prevalent if there is a car on their side of the road overtaking. In this one you actually saw someone slow down when it happened to them, but in many vids you see them not reduce their speed when there is someone in their lane coming at them head on. How crazy is that?

Any normal person would of just let him Move over to the middle lane you could see with indicators he was trying to move into that lane for sometime(the box van was in the way) , cam driver just ignores this (must get in front is the correct comment here that the dash cammer did)

Yes, the truck was a decent way ahead and it was indicating that it wanted to change lanes - it's not as if it just started to move over at the last minute. Give consideration to other road users as you may be in the same position as they were in at some stage.

I had a twat in an i10 try to antagonise me on a country lane the other day...if it wasn't illegal to ram people off the road, he'd now be in a hedge somewhere!

5:18 - it's an average speed camera not a GATSO, they don't work on the basis of your speed when you pass - if you're braking that late you'll be over the limit when you pass it (assuming it was the second). In reality, it's an idiot who doesn't understand what they are so thinks you have to brake to pass them, not that it takes your average speed over the distance between the 2 cameras thus braking is pointless. You can pass a 60mph average speed camera at 100, so long as you then slow down sufficiently over the distance between the 2 points so your average is below 60.

Lowering the pitch on clips with music to avoid RUclips’s copyright system. Pitch lowering is better than the cutting of audio every couple of seconds (a few people were getting annoyed with this cutting out.)

Lots of these drivers just making things so much worse, just be nice to people, If someone is in the wrong lane has space don’t speed up to cause a problem! So many of these idiots need to grow up and calm down on the road.

I don't understand why so many people that are clearly in the wrong get so butt hurt about people reacting to them. The erratic Audi driver, the big fat guy in the tiny car that threatens what sounds like a young boy, the Merc that pulls out in front of the driver then brake checks him.

So many of the dashcammers have absolutely no hazard perception; even looking at the clips I can see whats about to happen even if it seems like they can't

BigDinner... there was adequate space and reasonable merge but you decided to accelerate unnecessarily (to reach the roundabout?). frankly you should be ashamed and more so because you thought your claim "its all on camera" was in some way embarrassing to the Merc Driver.
I thought BigDinner left a gap for the other car to pull out, and just when that car did pull out, he hits the accelerator.

3.40 Tony, that white dotted line is a guide for people who don't know their left from their right, I think you'll find that other drivers would greatly appreciate it if you could perhaps stick to the left side when you turn right as most UK drivers are used to that system and it works well until some prawn decides to go through a corner rather than round it.

I have the sennheiser game ONE edition, and I have to say its one of the best headsets to buy/use right now. Nothing beats them, pretty similar to the ones linked in the desc.

A lot of these are down to impatient drivers. Just look ahead. Anticipate. Stay calm. You end up as bad as the drivers you’re slagging off.
If you watch carefully you can see that in the case of Jonathan A, the tuck gave full warning that he was moving over and that there was plenty of space for him to move over before the dash amber sped up. The truck was even actually starting to merge at the same time the fuckwit decided he could go past the truck faster than the truck could change lanes

A lot of the cammers now in these videos cant either wait a second longer than they have to, think for more than a second or just let things go. For example the clip with the petrol tanker, he clearly needs more room and is indicating where hes going, also last clip, youre meant to move over when its clear to let the people on the slip road on. A lot of these cause a problem just to record it, moan about it and upload it. Having said that, there are some dicks on the road

Jonathon A , I use that roundabout in Poole around 20 times a week and that tanker driver was doing nothing wrong.1st lane for Westbourne and Sandbanks 2nd lane for Poole and 3rd lane for Bournemouth. you were clearly in lane 3 and cut into lane 2.... the tanker stayed in lane 2 at all times.
It seems to me that the tanker entered the roundabout in the second lane that goes to Sandbanks, while the Jonathan A entered the roundabout in the far right lane heading to Branksome/Poole. The tanker then pushes into the lane that Jonathan A is in which his reaction is to move into the new lane that forms for the direction of Bournemouth. Which instead of going around the roundabout again. He decides to speed around the tanker and back into the lane heading to Branksome/Poole.
@@Jcashbey83 The first lane is for Westbourne and Sandbanks with a symbol of a sand castle on the road to denote the beach. Often cars use the second lane for Sandbanks and end up cutting people up in the right lane.Not the best set up for a roundabout and i've even seen cars going around the wrong way to ad to the fun.

Someone please clarify if the roundabouts work the same in the UK as they do in Germany.
In Germany its like that:
You have to give way to whoever is in the roundabout and
once you are in you have the right of way compared to those who want to get in.
Yes but if nobody is on the roundabout you give way to the right so if 2 cars were approaching the one that to the right has priority.
