To the people who insult Hondas and say only poor people drive them guess again bro I bank at least $200,000 a year and I Drive a Honda Accord they're excellent cars you have to drive to truly understand why they're so fun and enjoyable to drive why would I want to buy gas guzzler do I need to make the Middle East rich
You are a smart man, you don't waste your money on expensive repairs, maintenance and depreciation like the rest of us with European over-rated trash!!
I test drove a 2013 Accord Sport 6-speed today and came away extremely impressed. I didn't want to go back to the dealership, I Just wanted to keep driving it! Very smooth power, precise steering, excellent body control and very comfortable interior. Honda understates the power of this engine so they don't bump up against the Acura ILX (201HP). Car and Driver dyno'd a '13 Sport and it put down 182 hp AT THE WHEELS. So it's likely closer to 200-210 hp. Think of it as a mature Civic Si. I demand A LOT of "sport" in my vehicles. My current car is a R56 MINI Cooper S 6-speed which I freakin' love. But I'm seriously considering this car. It's that much fun to drive! I haven't driven a Civic Si... I may consider one of those too...
The Civic Si was a blast to drive. I was considering an Accord Sport when I bought my Si. I've parted from my Si now though and moved on to something much more immature lol
@@mejia.fk8 :D :D I bought a 2020 Civic Si, then traded it in for a 2023 Genesis G70. Aiming for an Integra Type S if the markups ever come down to a reasonable level. :D
Love the looks of the Sport model. I wish Honda would expand the Sport trim or at least offer a tech package with navigation, push button start, & a better sound system.
I have a '13 sport. Super easy to work on...managed an amazing 40mpg on hwy. 30 average. installed a K&N filter for a couple of more ponies and even better milage. Make sure you change the cabin filter. VERY EASY to do and it will save you AC compressor. I love the SPORT, dual exhaust. .mini trunk wing and the 4 extra ponies..Got dealer down to 21.5K out the door....Love the 2016's!!!..arrh..
Accord sport has a slightly firmer suspension, and the cvt paddle shifters make passing on the highway very easy. You can paddle shift in regular drive or sport mode, with the tranny returning to regular mode fairly quickly in drive mode while sport mode holds "gears". Amazing ride, amazing looks and value.
The only problems with Hondas, which I have had a few, that you are limited in what options you want with the car. Either you are stuck without enough options or having to buy the top of the line just in order to get a navigation system having to spend a lot more than you want. So if you wanted the EX and not the EXL with a Navigation forget it. You don't get much more inside the car with the sport yet it looks better on the outside. You think with a sport you could get more than 4 speakers too etc...
Its exactly what he says it is, a Family Sedan that wont kill your soul lol I have a small family so i needed to get a sedan, and the accord sport was the perfect mix between family and fun for me. The manual gives me a bit of play time and the size and gas milage make it sensible for my family. All in all its a great car and in the 15months I've owned it i've had very few complaints with it. The one thing i absolutely hate is the fact that its a family sedan without a 60/40 back seat... so if I have something to haul I cant have my carseat or my son with me, which is more than a little annoying. The wheels are nice, but if you ding them they're expensive. I made the choice to get 18" winter tires which made the road noise much louder and dropped the milage but not by much, and it was a dream in the winter. I live in Canada and we get some pretty intense snowfall and I had no problems all winter. Apart from basic maintenance i've had no mechanical issues and i put on 45k KM's in the first year. All in all I would recommend this car to anyone with a small family.
Jose Torres 60/40 would mean that the back seat folded down as two parts so that you could still have a passenger back there while hauling something too long for just the trunk so you folded down a seat. These new Hondas have no split folding seat so if you are hauling something that requires you to fold the seat down, no one can sit back there.
This is a "nice" car. Now here's the problem with that. As a Honda owner I want a great car. I have a Honda prelude that I love. It's a 2001 (the last year it was available in the us). My car has a 5 speed manual with 200hp. So 13yrs later why would I buy a bigger, heavier sedan that makes 5hp LESS! Why not a 240-250 hp 4! Or a 275hp 6 cylinder with the manual transmission? Honda can make a real enthusiast car. They just refuse to
Have one of these and I absolutely love it. Engine and Transmission are bulletproof, Revs very well, Great MPG and great with friends as well. And on long distances its cruises very well.
John Noonan On highway when i cruise control 80mph I usually get 30-31 mpg BUT cruising around town can range from spirited driving around 25mpg (hitting vtec) or as high as 35mpg. Not a harsh ride at all! A all rounded well put together car. The perfect car imo.
Linda Ingmanson lmao yes this video is hella funny for that. Congrats! have a 2014 that I just paid off fully and will keep it for a while! Idk if I like the 2017 Accord, gets worst MPG but looks great
This car is amazing! I went to check it out at the dealership & it is absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend this sedan to anyone looking into buy a car. Besides it's look, it is very spacious and comfortable. :)
I bought a grey 2014 accord sport last week ,I had leather and heated seats added at the dealer...KATZKIN...Nice!!!. I traded a new F!50 sport and I am loving this car. Awesome fuel mileage.
Contrary to what they said in the video, the Sport has the same engine as the LX. It has 4 extra ponies because the dual exhausts allows the engine to breathe better.
haven't drove a Honda ever since i had my 98 integra back in the my hay days as a teen... jumped right into Lexuses after that.. a couple of v8s .. a couple of v6's This Accord Sport i-4 with the paddles is probably the best car I've driven yet pictures and online doesn't do this car justice.. you have to see it on the road
One annoyance that no one seems to mention about the Accord is that the top centre screen reflects the base of the screen on sunny days. On my test drive, it got so bad I could see the display properly. This is due to the slanted glass in front of the screen, which perfectly directs any glare from the base of the screen to the drivers face. Bit of an oversight unfortunately. Otherwise I thought the interior is pretty well thought out.
great review and great car as well! I actually just purchased one 2 months ago, same trim with a CVT and man this car drives amazing! CVT is the best I have driven compared to others and yeah it just feels so damn smooth!

I agree that there should be a V6 6MT sedan like there is with the coupe!
The V6 model comes with a 6-speed auto, not CVT.
I think the sport is good except it doesn't come w/ leather seat and moonroof...
Who do these journalists think they're making these reviews for? Only 1% buy cars with a manual.
dealers are sellng at 22k if i could get the price down to 19k or lower its sold i just turned 18 so i would love this car
The "sport voice" was pretty funny
About to buy one with 111k miles for $14k
I don't understand why the Camry is still the best selling in class... It should be the Accord!
I wouldn't mind trading my 2011 BMW 328i xDrive 6MT for a V6 Accord.
Ryan I think you're insane but I would gladly give you mine for a BMW.
whats the difference with 4 hp??? honda needs to offer the manual on the v6 sedan!
The only part of a Charger that I want is the V8. Nothing else about the car can match the new Accord's universal appeal.
Sorry, but the Subaru Legacy also comes with manual speeds
does the 2013 have the same design as the 14?
yup. 2013 marks the redesign
idk why they didn't include an option with the v6.
