For those who didn't get it :the movie is an allegory about God and the Earth. Bardem’s character is God and Jennifer’s character, is Mother Earth with the house standing in for the environment. From there, the story attempts to be a biblical allegory of both the Old and New Testament as well as a brief, deeply misanthropic view of human history.
Wow, people sure like to judge... I thought it was interesting, loved the ambiance the background music created. And Darren makes great psychological films so I'm intrigued about this one.

Javier is an actor that's just on another level. He's so rare to see and every performance is so fucking impactful and engraving. Just look at No Country for Old Men. People actually thought he was a psychopath, which he may be considering he's so good.

This is looking very promising. The teaser I saw in a movie theater was the most dread-inducing and unnerving I've seen, and most of it was just a black screen. The music and sound design already feels visceral and unique. My only hope is that the plot doesn't fall flat with a typical twist-ending like 'The Others' or 'Sixth Sense'.

For those who are misunderstanding the age difference. 1. It could be related to the storyline. 2. In Hollywood, women over 30 are considered past their prime and are never, or almost never hired. 3. Women over 30 are not considered for hiring in Hollywood. They are looking for a young face. 4. Hollywood is sexist on both women and men. 5. Hollywood is fake. 6. Hollywood has rules behind the scenes we'll not relate to. 7. It's injustice when you hear stories like I have regarding hiring women, and what really keeps the entertainment industry rolling.

I just saw it and immediately started re-watching it with a new eye now that I'm starting to understand its meaning. I think I will keep thinking about it for a few days! Also as usual I only watch the trailer after having seen the movie, and as usual, I'm glad I watched the movie without knowing anything about it, this trailer would have clearly spoiled my experience.
