She is sometimes harsh, heavily sarcastic and at times flat out vulgar. I love the personality that comes throught with all that, but I can imagine some people don't really fancy that. At times she can be perceived as quite conceited (I believe she is not, much more like self-ironic, but it is also just my impression) that can trigger some bad response.

That was more to do with the interviewers pause between questions than her being nervous over that particular question.
In her defense, that's a rough question to be asked. She was probably like I would be, even if the answer is truthfully, "No, I don't have a favorite." I would be worried I'd do something or say something that would lead my family members to think I prefer one over the other. Which would hurt their feelings for the rest of our lives and make future interactions miserably awkward. That's a lot of pressure to put on someone for such a silly interview.

God that was the most painfully honest thing she's said. That sucks we've all felt like people hate us (I know I have) but to feel like on a national/global scale JUST for being herself? Dang that must suck. It's like when she first came out everyone adored her because she was so real and unrehearsed.
