    Barry was headed to the HOF before the joice.
    Now because of a bunch of crusty baseball writers, he won't.

      I get why the don't want to induct him, but at the same time, it was a complete systematic failure on the mlb to do anything in the face of obvious steroid use for years. Let them use for years, take in dough, and then throw them under the bus afterwards? It's just scummy.
      As much as I hate the fact they did use steroids, it was a rampant issue and I don't think the players should be faulted for MLB turning a blind eye so they could make money off the steroid era and then blow off all the bad press onto the players. I hope the bbwaa will changes its mind, but I really doubt it. MLB really needs that antitrust exemption to be removed, it won't amount to much but at least light a fire under their ass.

    • @bradenculver7457
      @bradenculver7457 3 года назад +7

      @@user-oe7uf3vh4g the entire league had people using. I don't think you can call it cheating if the rule on the books was completely ignored. MLB took advantage of players to make money and then threw them under the bus later by telling people like you they cheated. If the mlb wasn't enforcing PED rules, what would you expect? Barry was far from the first person to use PEDs, and far from the first person MLB turned a blind eye to until they're incompetence or malice led the US government to lead an inquiry. MLB failed, not the players trying to be the best and competing against their peers.
      Like if you want to talk cheating, and to be clear before I say this I think Pete rose should be in the HoF, but gambling rules were something enforced and that Rose broke over a very long and consistent period. It creates a very dangerous conflict of interest between the manager and their bets.

    Bonds changed his swing to a straight uppercut the second they moved into Pac Bell. He basically invented “launch angle”. Coincidentally at the same time he smeared cream on himself. Put him in the HOF please. He’s the GOAT.

    His swing was truly amazing Matt. You already said it short, quick, powerful. He probably had the most consistent repeatable, powerful swing in recent memory. He completely dominated at the plate unlike anyone else in recent memory. With all that being said….Could you Please Please Please break down the 🐐 Theodore Samuel Williams Swing?! Lol

    Bonds should have done the Major League 2 “Big Balls dance” when he hit a bomb and stared Joe Buck the whole time. Best power swing ever. Griffey, prettiest swing. Honorable mentions: Strawberry, Will Clark, Eric Davis.

    Nobody listens to Barry Bonds.
    He says to catch the ball on the bat.
    He says slugging percentage grows out of on base percentage.
    He says the bat waggle creates angular momentum.
    He says that pitches are identifiable by the shape and color of the ball.
    He says use the tee to hit the high ball out front onto the ground.
    What the fuck would Barry Bonds know?
