Countertransference has grown into a central concept of contemporary psychoanalysis. We are offering here just a brief overview of three approaches to it, but more is yet to follow.

He is so clear and relays the concepts so well. I always enjoy and learn from his videos. I wish there was information about how to not feel overwhelmed by the counter-transference or how to use it ethically (my grad program said not to talk about yourself, your feelings, etc..).

There is always co-transference. It is not merely a cognitive distortion.
Today, we mostly project a common value system. Studying human ability to create a common ethics ought to be part of psychoanalysis.
In other words because of the upheavals of a normative ethics we are left with a creative task of creating an ethics. That is the issue that Nietzsche exposed, and will be perennially addressed.

This is correct, I do not have anything to say about Lacan. I do not feel bad about it, as there is plenty of Lacan everywhere on the web. And also, despite a widespread expectation, no one, not even Lacan, belongs in every talk about every concept.
