Bloody love those gh, afew years ago I was sounding tin can bay and found a big school of 1m plus fish, I thought they might be threadies having not come across them before but jeez I was surprised and elated when I hooked one first drop and it came straight up and jumped from 8m of water, got 3 in consecutive drops before the sharks came, epic fish
Mate I was on Pine River on friday... water was like chocolate. Lots of fish on the scope but couldn't even get a nibble. If it wasn't for the four decent muddies I took home it would have been a write off. You had a much better day than me.
Ditto for me in ningi creek. 2 pike eels, a stingray and a grunter. 3 female muddies and a slashed pot. There was a commercial crabber in the creek and you could walk to the other end of the creek there were so many pots. Think I might have to move spots and try the Caboolture river or go further north
Hey Pete if you mind me asking what size jigheads do you use for the size plastic you generally use when fishing for small fish tailor small snapper ect
@@thomask837 hey Thomas! My boat is a Bassco Hurricane (built of an old Haines hunter hull) with a Mercury 115 pro xs four stroke. Welcome to the channel, I try to get weekly videos out from Brisbane area and beyond.
Hi peter, I have a question for you, does your flooring get hot with the sun. We have normal marine carpet and you can't walk on it with bare feet, so We were wondering if your type is any better. Thanks in advance. Love watching your videos.
@@vinceandshirleycross7136 cheers mate! I recon the seadeck is cooler than the carpet I had in the previous boat. That could be due to the colour but I do think it is cooler than carpet.
Another top video mate, my sons and I are loving them! What’s the verdict on the new garmin sounders after the last 4 or so months of use? I’ve got a helix 9 with the mega side imaging and considering the same change as you to the Garmin echomap ultra 2 12”. Cheers
@@MatthewHawker-x9k thanks Matthew! Garmin are super easy to use units that are better at everything except the birds have a better sidescan in shallow water say under 10m deep.
I appreciate your great videos Peter, they get me pumped to fish Brisbane and Moreton Bay after my move next year.
@@janarthansrikantha3072 thank you, I’m glad they get you pumped mate.

I had a shocker this weekend land based. Scarborough, Scott's Point, hays, Brighton, just a few tiny bread and butter.
Same for the northern bay, on Saturday sounder was packed but couldnt get a bloody hook up!!
I hit the pine Saturday and got nothing but catfish after catfish.
I hit the Pine today and only got a single bream. Water still looked like chocolate

The keeper for stretchy plastics is the best and so far, the hook strength has not let me down.
There’s nothing better than being on the water in flat conditions with fish biting all around you. Awesome stuff.
