Appreciate the effort put into this. Very logical. I do hope you continue to make these for the other maps. I feel a lot more confident queuing into abyss now and making some important calls for my team (that is if they listen of course). Subscribing for sure. Please continue to make videos. You have great potential to grow a channel!!
It's pretty common for new maps to get hate... people just don't know how to play them yet. I used to feel the same about fracture but then grew to like it.
Yeah, cypher is the best sent on this map. Trips are to be set deep within the site for it to work effectively while other teammates play off the trip. Also save utilize for retakes is essential.
Great video, man! Would appreciate more specific call out names for locations, tho for the most part it is still understandable. I gotta ask tho, is pushing and gaining mid control viable for attack side on Abyss?
Hey, thanks for the feedback! Will try and incorporate that into other guides. Yes it’s 100% viable and encouraged, you just have to do it with some tact. Full 5 man pushes through mid aren’t going to get you much, because ultimately mid funnels into two chokepoints that are easier to hold than the chokepoints on A or B. So split pushes are REALLY effective here if you can coordinate it properly. I think the most important thing is that the 1-2 people pushing mid need to establish a rhythm with those pushing the main chokepoints on site. Like I said your goal is to spread the defense thin and keep focus on you in mid so there’s a man disadvantage on site as your team pushes since this map is so huge.
Just subbed and gave this a like Honestly I love how you cover the macro strats to getting this map right - which can be supplemented by each agents util/setups etc. I also how you addressed the mini-game/win condition of this map (which is similar to icebox's deny plant mini) Would love to see similar map guide videos + if you can also go through the win conditions for each map (I struggle alot with Sunset and Lotus - inconsistent games there). Cheers bro!
Yoru also has a busted tp from mid to b Heaven on at and He can get the pace with clone on Site and then tp into or near b Heaven to have a good lurk. But only after Site IS taken!!
Harbor goes so hard on defense if you learn cubby walls on a you can completely deny all of left side with the wall, cascade and cove playing shorty there or phantom gives you straight free kills
A bit late, but of each role I think Astra, Geeko, Deadlock and Jett are the best agents for this map. Astra is great because of her ultimate and utility of close spaces, Geeko, because he is universally the best initator no matter the map atm, for one-of the most powerful scouting utility in the game + free planting tool. Deadlock because her ability to lock down B by herself outmatches other sentinels, and lastly Jett because of her ultimate can be utilised literally outside of the map. We have literally seen pro player ult, jump off the map and get multi kills with Jett that way.
Yeah I meant as an attacker going from the top of the platform to the bottom, not the other way around. You're right that you can silent jump it from the bottom platform to the rope though!
Definitely the goal! But I'm planning on spreading them out a bit cause it takes an insane amount of effort to make a one hour video haha. But the next two maps I want to hit are Bind and Lotus. I might do Pearl instead since it's coming back into the comp rotation. What do you think?
@@ValoRATStrats pearl would be really cool, even though it’s been out for a while I still struggle to play the map to my fullest potential so it would help out a lot
Doesn’t only stacking sites allow attackers to 5man mid or at least force a kill/lurk pressure for rotates? Playing mostly cs, I feel like playing off of mid with only info allows attackers to get super deep with hard to react to timing(which serves to delay rotates even further)
Yeah so the reason it works out is because mid ends up funneling into only 2 chokepoints for attackers that ends up being easy to hold from both sites. So if they 5 man push, they all funnel through tiny chokepoints for you to hold from each site. Basically you play the outer edges of the map if they do that and focus on the one chokepoint hallway on each side. Requires a good bit of communication but it's not ideal to 5 man it as attackers. If they split it's an entirely different story and yes, that's favored for attackers!
Another subscriber added! bro this is soo specific. thank you for taking the time to make this video for us man! hope you make it big!!
I appreciate it!
Deserve to get subscribe tbh, thanks bro. Hope your channel will grow
I appreciate that!

Preach everyone I know hates fracture and it’s one of my favorite maps!

Icebox sucks ass, that's a fact
split and icebox is pretty okay though, but I agree on the hate with breeze
its now a trend every new map comes out hate it till new map comes out then hate that same happened with pearl sunset etc. Its people who cannot play

Really liked this analysis of the map. I would like to see this on the other maps.
Thank you! And yeah I'm working on a Pearl guide to help people with that map since it's coming back into the competitive queue!
Just subbed and gave this a like

I mean I’ve been playing abyss for over a month and a half and I’m loving it
no maps are good if you dont play them right
abyss is well designed if your playing to the maps strengths instead of the weaknesses
Really great and informative video. You earned a sub. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the sub!

25:37 this is not true you can silent jump the rope, they even do it in the champs 2024 skin preview

This is a really imformative guide, it would be cool if you can do one for each map in valorant

Please do Lotus, I really struggle on that map 🥺
they really removed Breeze and added Breeze (Dark Mode)
Honestly yeah this map is very similar to Breeze lol. At least in the way it plays with rotations and space.
Doesn’t only stacking sites allow attackers to 5man mid or at least force a kill/lurk pressure for rotates?
Playing mostly cs, I feel like playing off of mid with only info allows attackers to get super deep with hard to react to timing(which serves to delay rotates even further)
Also even just a omen feels like he can get incredibly deep(and avoiding traps) before making audio cues
