Okay, if we're all talking about fave scene of Kramer, is at the 17:34 Mark when he starts drinking the beer in a glass mug and smoking a cigarette at the same time, then burping loud after he looks pensively calm at the other actor with no excuse; is pure comic genius. Thanks for keeping it on film to show us his physical gag comedy!
He did that in the spur of the moment of the scene without preplanning it. I saw an interview with the actor who played the scene with him and he said that Michael was just supposed to take a drink of the beer. Instead, he chugged the whole thing and burped the smoke. The expression on his face after he burps is pure comedic genius.

Jerry said Richards used to go on Leno those years, in speaking that he had seen Richards before Seinfeld. Leno started the Tonight Show in 1992. Seinfeld aired in 1989.
The best reason for me to watch Seinfeld has been hands down KRAMER aka Michael Richards, you kind Sir simply stole the show and manage to captivate me even today as I watch reruns of this epic comedy show during these unprecedented times.
His absence on the "The Chinese Restaurant" was definitely noticed. It was still a great episode but I can't help but think that he would have made it stupendous.
Sooner Arrow agreed...Jerry has said in the earlier episodes Kramer was written to be a loner who just lived in the building and never went out...I don't think jerry and larry knew what they had in Kramer until later in the shows running.
The comedy writing team of Jerry and Larry Davis is like Lennon and McCartney with writing music. Whether is exactly equivalent is debatable but both are the top of their craft and both are considered the best and both certainly made a lot of history.
cpmenninga the alt right are something (I lean right myself but hate mike pence/mitch McConnell type) but I wouldn't say douche bag. That's an exclusive purview of the left
We only laugh our asses out looking at him. Very little do we know about the kind of psychological pressure Richards must be undergoing portraying that character. It's not just a comedy. It's a brutally honest effort by each and everyone of them. This is some serious stuff. It's definitely no joke.
Psychological pressure...eh, he was playing Cosmo Kramer, not Oscar Schindler, don't get me wrong he clearly put a lot of effort into the timing/physical element etc. but this was a fluffy, occasionally darkly comedic sitcom, not a weighty drama.
Kramer was always my favorite character in Seinfeld, and always will be. Michael Richards brought something to that show that I think made it as great as it was. If not for him and how he did that character, I don’t think the show would have been as big, as funny, or as legendary as it became. Larry David and Michael Richards were the real components that made it so great.
Michael Richards certainly was a great part of the show but take out George and you pretty much don't have a show. Take out Kramer and you still do. Not as good but you can't still have something. Kramer removed the tension George brought into the room. But without the build up, the Kramer character wouldn't be as funny. They worked great as a team.
I was a Seinfeld addict, definitely. I'd stay up late to tape (and edit) it, because the TV channel in the UK messed around with the broadcast times, (sometimes a show would be on late or postponed.) :-( The whole cast were superb. I simply can't imagine any other actor playing those parts.
That scene where Elaine is mad about the bike, slams the door and Kramer crashes into it always gets me lol. There must be dozens of Kramer top ten lists lol (and if there aren't, there should be!)
They mention that the Kramer character thinks everyone else is dumb. At the same time, he's by far the most compassionate of the characters, or at least has his moments of humanity (donating blood to Jerry, getting along with virtually everyone, etc.)
I don't think that's what they said. Maybe I heard it wrong. I thought they were saying that the actor was coming at it from that point of view. That he started playing it as if Kramer was dumber than everyone else but then decided Kramer was actually smarter. That's not Kramer thinking that.
All four of them were my favorite characters at different points during the show....it just depends on the episode. Over all though....I think George, he was the funniest I think. Im a George guy, I have the t-shirt where George is posing sexy on the couch...
They were all great but, it switches for me too. I liked George a lot in the early seasons but less so in the last few because he becomes less of a dynamic character and more just an angry guy who yells. Elaine has a lot of good odd ball moments scattered throughout the series. Jerry was the most consistent start to finish, and of course Kramer is just a loveable mad man
So... The real Kramer was a drug dealer. Because he's definitely not a trust-fund kid. And I don't know how else you don't "work," live in NY, and still do "pretty well" with the ladies.
it's easy if you know how.. my self i took $20,000 and bought and sold foreign currency and precious metals..i grew that 20,000 into a house a classic car a 1954 panhead ,a daily driver and raised a daughter on my own..if you have brains you don't need to become a criminal or part or a social club... that's just fun on the side...support your local red and white.. local 81..
We have been robbed of Michael's brilliant comedic instincts and manic interpretations because of the total lack of forgiveness. He has been forced to live in the shadows because people feel powerful NOT forgiving him.
He deserved big time the remonstrance that he received. But here it is 12 years later and he is still being seen and referred to as the devil. He gave us such joy for so long. Shouldn't there be an end to that torture?
Mike Jardin if people decide to forgive and forget it. I personally don’t care but what he did was shitty. If he never does anything again, I won’t care. If he has success, again, won’t care.

The best reason for me to watch Seinfeld has been hands down KRAMER aka Michael Richards, you kind Sir simply stole the show and manage to captivate me even today as I watch reruns of this epic comedy show during these unprecedented times.
17:25 my head blew up here and I stopped breathing! 😂😂
It's a complete mystery how Richards pulled that off at 17:25 😆😂🤣
As great as the other 3 were, Kramer made the show in my opinion.
Kramer was the bonus for me that made it the only and last tv show I actually watched at a certain point. It was such a good ensemble.
Wow! Newman lost weight
good for him
He looks incredibly different!
And the audience would clap wildly even at home when Micheal would walk into the room.
Michael’s when talking has a serious edge to him while the others have a humorous air to them…
They were kind of the Beatles of television.
Which one was Ringo?
kramer was ringo, if you wanna go with the metaphor. i dont think george harrison or lennon have an equivalent though.
Howard Stern reference ?
The comedy writing team of Jerry and Larry Davis is like Lennon and McCartney with writing music. Whether is exactly equivalent is debatable but both are the top of their craft and both are considered the best and both certainly made a lot of history.
Seinfeld was Ringo tbh
3:27 "Look a gift horse in the mouth" I have never heard of this phrase till now. Larry David's vocabulary and diction are incredible.
My favorite part of this - "Rob Reiner - Castle Rock Executive".
GoldenSpiderDuck mad max!
Brock Lesnar Alpha Male funnily enough so are all the rightists.
cpmenninga the alt right are something (I lean right myself but hate mike pence/mitch McConnell type) but I wouldn't say douche bag.
It’s funny that the biggest similarity between Kramer and Richards is that they are self-isolating loners.
Kramer and George were central to so much of the comedy of the show, with Newman probably being a close third.
I still watch this show every night at 10 pm here in Tx!! Lmao 🤣
We all want a kramer in our lives, none of us wanna be him.
I love Michael Richards so much. I would love to see Seinfeld reunion so much...
Watch Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 7
@@ollienattii7616 i saw all curent seasons 3,4 times.
My favorite Comedic actor of all time!
Call me crazy but the Seinfeld gang is the most amazing ever … like ever 🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤗 what an amazing group
Michael Richards was a genius. He elevated the show to entirely new heights.
I was a Seinfeld addict, definitely. I'd stay up late to tape (and edit) it, because the TV channel in the UK messed around with the broadcast times, (sometimes a show would be on late or postponed.) :-(
The whole cast were superb. I simply can't imagine any other actor playing those parts.
One of the best pieces I have seen on youtube
When Elaine calls Kramer a "hipster doofus", I said "voilà !"
ASSMAN Kramer
That scene where Elaine is mad about the bike, slams the door and Kramer crashes into it always gets me lol. There must be dozens of Kramer top ten lists lol (and if there aren't, there should be!)
I cam watch kramer whole day. Love him to the heart.❤
09:28 “I felt that that was Kramer’s way of sliding into your DMs.”
i wish he had said that hahah
@@sanju1647 😂
I would give a year of my life to be a fly on the wall of one of these sets in the 90's
I have watched all these extras and Kramer takes the crown
This was so good...thank you so much!!!!!
The best show about nothing! ❤ Now if the world seems a little dark & gloomy, I watch a couple of episodes & it seems light again! ❤
@@gutenbird it's at about 5:00. Honestly it's vague enough that either of us could be right
Simply brilliant. Just like Sanford and Son.
Now, that was a funny show.
that's silly
Kramer smiling when he turns in the lineup had to be my favorite Kramer moment. Lol
I can’t help but think that Kenny Kramer is on that bus doing a real life Kramer tour
He did actually do that.
No oe on the show fit better opposite Cramer than Frank!! It is amazing to hear Jerry say that, their scenes together are TV history!!!
Michael Richards was by far the best actor on the series. Second place was not even on the stage. And everybody else......great actors.
English isn't your first language?
When they would pair Kramer up with other cast members as always cracked me up.
Thats not a sentence.
Jerry was the most consistent start to finish, and of course Kramer is just a loveable mad man
Michael Richards is the truth "method" actor. Period.
Damn Danny Woodburn's jacket is sick!
How the hell does anyone drink a beer with a cigarette hanging from their mouth!?
Its my fav show of all time.
Michel was...is....the funniest of all
So... The real Kramer was a drug dealer. Because he's definitely not a trust-fund kid. And I don't know how else you don't "work," live in NY, and still do "pretty well" with the ladies.
Oh, he was totally dealing
it's easy if you know how.. my self i took $20,000 and bought and sold foreign currency and precious metals..i grew that 20,000 into a house a classic car a 1954 panhead ,a daily driver and raised a daughter on my own..if you have brains you don't need to become a criminal or part or a social club... that's just fun on the side...support your local red and white.. local 81..
We have been robbed of Michael's brilliant comedic instincts and manic interpretations because of the total lack of forgiveness. He has been forced to live in the shadows because people feel powerful NOT forgiving him.
Mike Jardin so the people he “hurt” are the problem? Not the guy who did it? That sounds funny to me...
Well, at least your outlook is neutral. Many people enjoy watching his suffer. They feel powerful when they make someone suffer.
Brock Lesnar Alpha Male what is the issue if people can’t be hurt by words. How is Richards being hurt?
I would love to see a comparison of the themes in Sienfeld and those contained in Stanley Kubricks 2001.
HAL 9000: Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.
DAVE: You don't have to worry about me. I won a contest.
I think you should do that.
Kramer was gold..gold!
19:42 wonder why one actor is blurred out in this presentation... cannot exactly tell who this is and why the blur-out (edit Jeffrey Tambor is the blurred-out actor)
the Don Knotts of Seinfeld.
Hmm. I think Jason was the Barney Fife of Seinfeld. He fits that mold more than Kramer does. Kramer was something else altogether.
silly
