    Pro tips: Jettison one pice of ore at warp in. Anyone with cloak warping in should get decloaked giving you few extra seconds to react and most importantly starts engagement on your terms. But it's very important to understand that belts and anomalies (same with gas sites) have no acceleration gates. Everyone warping from probe window or r-click menu in system lands at same warp in location. You and your hunters can easily avoid it by using bookmarks. People can land on top of you if they have proper bookmarks set up. But you also can avoid traps on warp in, doing same thing.
    This can be done as alpha. If didn't already, use all three character slots on your account and put each of them in venture in other parts of LS. When one area of space is to hot, log in with different alt. That way you almost always something to do and won't be sitting in station afk because there is bunch of hunters outside.
    Insta dock bookmark on station. There is no worse thing than slowboating to dock with hunter going after you. Or with his friend waiting for you near station. I would bounce out of some celestial (it's faster to click warp button than looking up bookmark and warping), then warping at insta dock. When using inst dock bookmarks, set station as autopilot destination, warp to bookmark and when in warp set autopilot on. It will instantly dock as you leave warp, without you spamming dock button and it will do it faster than any human.
    Gas mining is slow. Do your math. I'm actually quite terrible at math, but many times find mining ore giving more isk/h. Don't forget to compress ore before selling!

      Thanks for the input. I have alphas and omegas all over. Yes dumping a can on the warp in can help, but not if someone made their own perch BM ( I would). I really wanted to show the good opportunity to get out even when they take you by surprise with the delays they have to deal with xD. I lot of the stuff I have covered in the many low sec vids, but it is good to see it collated like that :) What's you IGN?

      Cloak delay is good to escape. That's why I usually decloak mid warp. Or you can try to bump target. Sometimes disturbs align time enough to get lock.
      Each sides has some aces under their sleeve. Knowing and understanding mechanic's is key. Good thing about venture is that it is cheap so new players can experiment with it and learn basics of avoiding PvP

      "Everyone warping from probe window or r-click menu in system lands at same warp in location"
      Whenever I'm flying around in a cloaky astero or covops I always "warp to within..." to at least 10km. Traps avoided, no bookmarking needed.

    iv been finding jaspet and hemorphite asteroids in the first room of the 'Serpentis Lookout' combat sites in hi-sec near dodixie. The second room of the site has alot of Omber but i dont bother mining it. When i saw these i cleared the first room and then brought my mining barge up there and mined 40mil/isk worth of ore in about 1.5 hours with my covetor. If you or someone else completely clear both rooms of the site, the low sec asteroids disappear and only thing left is veldspar so i only clear the first room and then start mining. It's been a really good source of income and could help out some newer people like me with some good isk/hr mining since the hi-sec ore prices have tanked. Love your videos =)

All of it’s gotten me more into PvP and having fun with hunting and baiting as I go about getting things done in lowsec. Always get to know the locals and learn the lay of the land. I used to run skiffs in LS before the WCS change. 3WCS allowed you to pick your time to withdraw. In WH 3 WCS was highly important and 4WCS was paramount in Pochven because of the prevalence of hunting T3C with long points and faction scrams/ disrupts. Granted the WCS changes have renewed interest in the expedition frigates. In order to solo hunt gas sites you have to ditch cloak...which makes the Venture more beneficial than Prospect. (Before WCS changes Prospects were king Because of 4WCS. Now the Venture on Paper is 4WCS power and the Prospect is now much more downsides ship than benefits.) The Endurance is actually the really sneaky ship because you have 100% speed move bonus under cloak. Can have mining drones and 300% mining bonus and have the cargo hold of a skiff at 15000m3 and be capable of scanning down anomalies. Right now the Prospect is kind pointless other than Sig bonus and 10000m3. Because it needs a lot of support to make it Efficient or swapping equipment to operate which is rather annoying.

    • @daddex9222
      @daddex9222  3 года назад +1

      Great comment. Personally I never used multiple WCS for anything other than transit and rely on the d scan, cliak delay and paying attention to get me out, but I would certainly not want to take a barge out solo anywhere. The Prospect does have it's issues but for gas it is quickest and some think the covert cloak is a game changer, even though as you say the Endurance avoids the speed penalty and it never feels lacking.

    You make a valid point, which many often forget, is that losing is part of the cycle and it's not worth demonizing the player that took you. Obvs, there are quite a few dicks throughout Eve, the key is not becoming one of them by acting all butt hurt when your bright n shiny thing gets vapourised.

However in the intervening years i have been away i needed new skills for all and for the "new" style T2 crystals for the strip miners. Means that each character has between 30 and 50 days worth of training to complete what I used to be able to do :(

    I wouldn't be human if I wasn't annoyed that I was shot down, and I'm sure I'm angry with the player too. But that goes away, I knew the risk. But mostly, the only pain is the financial loss. Not with a standard venture, but a T2 venture or a mining barge. And yes you are right, the loss of ships of any kind belongs to EVE. But, you have to get used to it first. ^^

    Another great vid.
    I have a couple of ventures stashed next to some quieter low sec pockets in case there is some interesting ore/gas laying about and not too many folks in system. I agree with you that the pvpers make it exciting. Escaping when they land on grid is a buzz. The folks who seem to spend all day sat in a low sec station afk I find a little annoying, but they keep me paying attention.
    High sec mining can in some ways actually be more dangerous with high sec gankers having fun as players rarely see them coming in time and tend to be in the bigger barges that you cannot get off grid in time. One of our guys in an Orca got taken down by 20 destroyers at the weekend.

If we know CODE or something flies in, we dock up, call out the standby fleet if present or reship for a fight. We put bases in protected losec mining systems for that purpose.

    On the mining side of my gaming, the new WCS won't change my plans. Actually, it is even better. Since the Venture only have 1 low slot, using a WCS gives me 1 more core strenght compared to before the change (4 vs 3). My Skiff is in high-sec and it will remain there: I know it can survive 9 catalysts suicide ganking me in a 0.6 system, but I won't have Concord to save me in low-sec. The Procurer is in low-sec, definitely. For the Procurer, instead of having 2 WCS, I could just have one now + a mining laser upgrade. However, I use the Procurer when I'm alone in the system (so no WCS, and no penalty for drones if rats comes in), and the Venture when there are other people.

      Sometimes it can, but don't rely on it. The decloak distance is 2000m. When you warp at 0, you land randomly within a 2500m bubble around the warpin point, so you can miss it if you're a bit lucky. People flying cloaky ships usually don't warp to 0 though, they tend to warp at 10k or further, so they will avoid the can most times :)

    Is it worth it to do mining.. ever? I’m new to Eve, about 35 days in. Omega for about 30. I have really only done exploration (null-sec) and am growing bored of it. Not to mention I’ve lost 3 asteros yesterday alone (I learned a lot in a short amount of time lol) and I’m growing tired of the gate camps. The problem for me is.. it’s making me billions lol. It’s not really a problem except that it’s so lucrative it kind of makes other parts of the game feel not worth it, like mining. At least not until I have a years worth of skill points invested. For example, in the last 2 days (about 4/5 hours of exploring) I’ve made 750misk. Is this possible with mining any time soon for me? I don’t expect to be amazed by the gameplay of mining but the diversity of gameplay will interest me, especially if the isk stays the same or gets better and one day I can do one thing and the next day another thing without feeling like one is monumentally better than the other. But since the venture is the only option I have for now, should I even bother?

    • @daddex9222
      @daddex9222  2 года назад +1

      I would recommend you try the exploration in a 4-5 mil Heron, my alphas have made bank in wormholes in them. It is also a much cheaper ship to lose while you are learning d scan etc, use the d scan all the time.... best use of a venture, even for an alpha is gas harvesting in wormhole or low sec. Again you will learn valuable survival skills in a cheap ship, i have made a few videos on this too Avoid busy areas as they tend to have the entrance camped. I have low sec pockets i use that are rarely camped, if ever they are out there, just not near Jita :):) o7

      @@daddex9222 I need my Astero, idk it’s just one of those ships. Exploration wouldn’t be the same without it for me and I don’t mind losing them, yet. I’ve made a small fortune doing exploration so far so I can afford to lose a couple a day lol I just hope it doesn’t become the norm.
      I’ll give the huffing gas thing (lol that’s funny to me) a try tonight. In the meantime I’ll check out your other video. Thanks for the help.

    • @daddex9222
      @daddex9222  3 года назад +1

      That will be because since this was recorded they made the WCS active and it also halves your ships bandwidth, I did mention the changes in the vid though not in detail :( I would not now run one on there, except for gate transit maybe, and keep the full drone utility. Didn't work for me, not sure what I misunderstood, So I bought a venture and travelled to 0.0 space hoping for Crokite, there are no asteroid belts in 0.0 space it seems, i went to lower, still no Asteroids, occasionally I find a small crokite roid surrounded by lots of drones etc which If I wasn't, at that point in a pod I guess I wouldv'e been nuked. So my question is has it changed or how do you find a crokite spot..? thanks, ingame = Roxstar

      0.0 sec space and lower is null sec, not low sec. Low sec is 0.4 to 0.1. null sec will have different asteroids, and some areas have almost no asteroids. The rats in null sec will also be significantly nastier, you'd be much more likely to die in a venture. You want to find some fairly quiet low sec (0.4-0.1) and try again in there :)

    • @daddex9222

      Crokite does appear in low sec, but it's fairly rare. Try using the agency tab to find crokite ore anomalies (green sites)

      No but they they will show on the overview as they warp in, provided it isn't full of rocks, and they can't start locking you till they get fully out of warp and that is when you leave. If you moved away from the warp in they should have some ground to cover on grid too.
