  • Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth Interview with Adrian Zmed, Renowned Actor
    About Harvey's guest:
Today’s guest, Adrian Zmed, is an iconic and beloved actor, singer, TV personality, producer and director who is well remembered for his portrayal of “Officer Vince Romano” in the highly popular TV show, “T.J. Hooker”.
And of course, we all know and love him as the leader of the T-birds, “Johnny Nogerelli” in “Grease 2”, and as the hilarious “Jay O’Neill” in the hit movie “Bachelor Party” co-starring Tom Hanks. But our guest has had a long and diverse career that goes well beyond those 2 memorable roles.
On the big screen, he appeared in “The Final Terror”, “Eyewitness to Murder”, “The Other Woman”, “Unconditional Love”, “The Drone Virus”, “The Craving Heart”, and many more great movies. And on TV, in addition to “T.J. Hooker”, he appeared in dozens of TV shows including “Starsky & Hutch”, “Goodtime Girls”, “Hotel”, “Murder She Wrote”, “Diagnosis Murder”, “Passions”, “Lady Dynamite”, “Larry The Cable Guy’s Christmas Spectacular” and many more shows, in addition to hosting “Dance Fever” for 2 seasons.
And on the stage, our guest has had a very special and unique connection with the legendary record-breaking musical, “Grease”. He played “Danny Zuko” on Broadway and in national touring companies multiple times. And he also starred on Broadway in “Falsettos” and “Blood Brothers”, and in the national touring company of “Chicago”. In 1992, he appeared Off-Broadway in the musical version of “Eating Raoul”, and he has starred in many other theatrical productions including “Same Time Next Year”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Godspell”, “La Cage Aux Folles”, “Children of Eden”, “The Ark”, and “Surf: the Musical”.
Our guest is also a recording artist. His voice is featured on the soundtracks and cast albums for the movies and shows he’s been in. And in 1984 he released his own self-titled solo album. And if all of that weren’t enough, our guest also teaches master classes in film technique and gives musical theatre workshops in Los Angeles and New York.

Adrian, what a career he's had, my goodness!
The one thing I remember real well is the Theresa Saldonna Story, it's a movie I will never forget. It scared me just when they talked about it on the news, let alone make a TV movie about it! It was a very, very important film!!
I was blown away hearing about all the work he has done over the years. Wow!
I hope the two of you become friends, he seems like a very kind soul as do you!!!
    Thank you, Harvey 👍👍

Harvey, indeed you are remarkable. I agree with Adrian Zmed completely!
Thank you for this great interview. I’m a big fan of Adrian Zmed. One of my favorite songs EVER is “Little Demon”! In fact, if you tell me you saw him perform it live I’ll faint, then ask you all the details!!!(lol)
    Amazing job ❤👍

Thank you so much for your very kind comment about my interviewing style. Your support of our show means the world to me. Although I don’t want to make you faint, I must admit that Adrian did perform “Little Demon” in concert. He was wonderful. Very charismatic and sexy back then. In fact, during that show I was the one who almost fainted!! Sending you my warmest regards!!🙏❤️

Oh, Sir Harvey of Brownstone! How you continue to TREAT us! Thank you so much! Another great interview with one of my screen and stage heroes. Your interviews are utterly lush... you truly know your subject, but on our behalf ask ALL the right questions, in all the right places and at just the right pace. Thank you yet again... and now I'm off to find the interview with the amazing George Chakiris, which you reference herein.

My God Harvey - I recently discovered your show, and the interviews with Susan Anton, Adrian Zmed and too many too mention are beyond entertainment. I thought these beautiful stars were fluff. But your style and research reminds me of a lifestyle of integrity that I witnessed in the 1950s and 60s. I can see the stars amazement in your research and respect .
    Just fantastic!

You have no idea how happy I am that you found our RUclips channel. It’s very difficult to build and grow an audience with no advertising budget. We basically rely on word of mouth. So when loyal and supportive viewers like you come along, it’s a huge blessing. Thank you so much for watching our show and for letting me know how much you are enjoying it. Please tell your friends and our show. That would mean the world to me. Thank you!!🙏❤️

Really good interview with Adrian covering so much! Always liked him and he went up even more in my estimation with his concerns about the missing Native Americans situation. That is something that needs way more attention.
