What a great career he has had; what a range of performances. Anyone who remembers the AIDS epidemic in the 80s knows what a courageous career choice it was to play that part. Great interview as usual. Would love for you to interview Shirley Jones; I think knowing the research you do it would be terrific.

Wow! I loved your astute interjections in response to Peabo's comments. Great interview as always. Peabo's stories about all the famous female vocalists he's done duets with and his work with David Foster had me dying to revisit some of the songs, so I just had an hour-long concert. Perfect for Valentine's Day.

Harvey, I was so surprised to see this interview with Holly Cole. I discovered her decades ago and often still listen to her music. I just love the song "Cry" that she did on Don't Smoke in Bed. I've never seen an interview with her and enjoyed this so much.

I seem to remember seeing Carol in Wicked back in the day. I say "seem to remember" because the theatre had such horrible speaker systems I left with a migraine.

Fabulous interview Hearvey. "Amadeus" is one of my top ten and I've been a fan of F. Murray since then. He's absolutely methodical and brilliant in the discussion about his craft. I really enjoyed him and loved hearing he's a deeply religious man too.

I must mention her turn as the artsy aunt in the wonderful TV series “Brooklyn Bridge.” Hester Street will always be my favorite of her dramatic performances. The problem of Jewish immigrant wives being deserted by their husbands in that era is little-known, but was significant. The famous Yiddish newspaper, Der Forverts (The Forward) ran innumerable ads placed by these unfortunate women, hoping to find their husbands. The religious women among them were unable to get a divorce, as Gitl did, unless the husband initiated one. Terrific interview, as always on this channel. Thank you, Harvey, for asking her that last question about the anti-semitism problem. I salute you for doing so.

With all respect possible, as I most likely align with her on most of her political leanings, I have to admit laughing out loud at her answer about "social justice" issues. Releasing a book about her life hardly qualifies, and trying to save the world as a single human being in their 80's is naive and ironic at the same time. I think humans should work to help the environment, but it's probably futile anyway. The population keeps getting bigger, and most humans aren't about to go all anti-natalist like myself. The thing to understand is; humans will go extinct at some point, and the earth will out "survive" us all. The dinosaurs found this out the hard way. It will end for humanity, and the earth will recover any damage we impacted on it, until sun death, which will destroy the earth.

Harvey, though I have known of Holly Cole's artistry for years, I didn't know a thing about her. I learned so much and I really like her now, besides her music! You are the perfect person to interview Jazz musicians because you know their careers and know what to ask to allow them to shine!! I'm listening to Holly Cole right now!!

That guy has the weirdest favorite Joan Crawford movie list ever!!!!!! (Except for Sudden Fear). Wow, dude. Torch Song????? Come on now. I think Joan would slap him! And Female On The Beach is a REDICULOUS choice too. Jaw dropping. All the wonderful films she did and he brings up those? 😳

Larry is 71 and looks much younger than that. Great interview. Wish the interview was longer. 40 mins was way too short. I could’ve listened to Larry for 90mins. Also, I wish the film “Youngblood” was mentioned.

The remake of The Beatles 1965 song "Iv'e Just Seen A Face" (from 1997 "Dark Dear Heart") at the beginning of the song reminds me of Alanis Morissette 1995 song "Hand In My Pocket" (from "Jagged Little Pill") & believe it or don't, Guns 'N Roses 1987 song "Paradise City" (guitar part from "Appetite For Destruction")!! Also the song "You Want More" (also from "Dark Dear Heart") was also done by singer Sheryl Crow who wrote the song. The All Music website named "Shade" as one of Holly's best album!! I have never saw Holly Cole in concert but maybe someday.

Harvey: I enjoyed your interview of Holly Cole. You did a masterful job of bringing out her many accomplishments and her amazing depth as a vocalist and musician. I have asked my daughter to watch the interview. She is a budding jazz vocalist.

I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful conversation with the deeply talented Carol Kane. And I'm glad she discussed the lovely Kathryn Sermak and Bette Davis!

Another surprising, delightful interview full of discoveries of an actress I only remembered from movies when she & I both were young girls. What an amazingly varied & prolific career she's had! That's what you bring Harvey. I mean this from the heart when I say...as impressed and fascinated as you are with your subjects...I see how not only relaxed and open they are with you, but also a bit in awe of how you handle & interview them. Different for them from other interviews, I'm betting. They seem to appreciate it as much as your audience. Back to Linda...she said she "never quite got the role that would shoot her to the top"...I think she got something better, and what many actors prefer...a lifetime of being a working actor in meaningful work. That "shot to the top" can often be just too much, the fame, the life, the "commercial pressures" with that kind of career. Speaking of that...I just read Kelly Bishop's autobiography, where she says that's the career she had and is grateful for it....on that note...I'd just love for you to interview her...lots to see there, and you'd bring out the best. :)

I will never forget Lesley Ann in Cinderella. We just so happened to be getting our first color TV the day it was to air. My older brothers and I were fighting over the TV as they didn't want to watch Cinderella. My mother said that as I loved the Disney movie, had puppets, etc. that I was to watch it. Both brothers sat and were mesmerized by Lesley Ann! Thanks for the interview!

In the early mid 90s, I worked at Disney..one of my co-workers there was Kathryn Sermak..she was very sweet, beautiful, and a kind person to work with....
