Wow, you really do your homework. Hearing all those tunes, some of which I've not heard since their days as hits (I lived a lot of years in Europe, where many American pop hits didn't get heard) served as a reminder of just how big Gar was. Though not my kind of music I think they sound great. They also really epitomise the era. Having Leon and the so-called Cutting Crews of session players certainly helped. These were the people hear on hits by the Monkees, the Beach Boys, Paul Revere & the Raiders and so many more. Also worth noting: - Al Kooper's career - prior to him working with Bob Dylan, founding Blood, Sweat & Tears, having success with the 'Super Session' album on which he featured Michael Bloomfield and Stephen Stills, and discovering and producing Lynard Skynards early albums, plus SO much more including being responsible for the Zombie's 'Time of the Season' being a hit - got a kick start as he was one of the co-writers of 'This Diamond Ring'. - Drummer Jim Keltner's first pro session was 'She's Just My Style'. He then joined the Playboys, which included Carl Radle on the bass. Those two along with Leon Russell became members of Delaney & Bonnie's band, which at times included Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Dave Mason, Duane Allman, Rita Coolidge, horn players Bobby Keys and Jim Price (went on to the Stones) and many more. Russell, Radle and Keltner joined with other D&B band members to become Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen before Leon's career took off, Radle joined his former D&B bandmates Jim Gordon, Bobby Whitlock and Clapton for Derek & the Dominoes, and Keltner became one of the most renowned session players on the planet - everyone from Dylan and the Pretenders to Gary Wright ('Dreamweaver') and being a member of the Travelling Wilburys. Though Radle is no longer of this world, Keltner is still going strong. Maybe an interview with this drummer to the star would be worthy of your consideration. He's a chap from Tulsa and totally down to earth. BTW, he's Ringo's favourite drummer. I think Jeff Lynne's, too. Thank you, though I never followed Gary Lewis & the Playboys, it is great to see Gary still so vibrant and positive. Some of his contemporaries might have been 'cooler' back in the day, though where are they now? He is living proof that living life according to one's own personal doctrine is the way to go.

OMG Susan Anton, LOVE her, this will sound crazy but one of my absolute best memories of the late 70's/early 80's are the TV & Radio commercials, and one of my absolute FAVORITES is when Susan Anton sings the Sealy Perfect Sleeper Mattress theme, I literally have listened to it a thousand times on RUclips as an adult. Susan Anton is such a beautiful, genuine soul

I find it APPALLING that MONEY is SO behind winning the Oscar !

Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant once cited Burton Cummings as having the best voice in rock. Also, on the Guess Who's 'Rockin'' album the tune 'Heaven Only Moved Once Yesterday' opens up with Burton and another chap 'chatting' while Sam Phillips' 'Sea of Love' is playing in the background. Many years later, Plant covered that tune on his EP 'The Honeydrippers - Vol. 1' (there never was a 'Vol. 2').

Burton did a short very funny impersonation of Rodney Dangerfield in a TV show one time, it was super funny. Loved the music, still love the music, it is timeless. Cheers

One third of Los Angeles is new immigrants. It takes seven years to acquire the English language. Many students will never “do well” on the yearly federal Common Core test. There are additional challenges affecting youth in LA. Los Angeles Data Church attendance: 34% Poverty: 34% of California’s Poor Language other than English: 58.9% Foreign born: 36% Referrals to CPS a month: 9,390 Children with mothers only: 27% Children with fathers only: 9.2%

Harvey, Denise Nichols is a spectacular woman! I greatly admire her, especially for her humanitarian efforts, for racial justice. When she declared that she has every right to speak her mind, as she’s a taxpayer, I’ve been saying that for many years, as a gay man. It struck a chord! I al always enjoyed her acting career, as well. She’s so delightful, infectious and deeply profound. She’s inspirational and tenacious. Your interview was fantastic! I always learn something new with each of your shows. Thank you.

Really enjoyed this interview! Muskrat Love was a memorable song from my teen years and so sweetly sung by Ms. Tennille. She reminds me of Doris Day, who also sang to the person and not the crowd. Vocally Toni, Ella, and Doris all stood out on their own, the highest praise I can give them! Distinctive voices that are instantly recognizable! I respect how she was a friend to the end to her former husband I want to read her book now! I think that Daryl Dragon was great also , loved what he brought to their songs. It does pop my bubble finding out they were no longer married, much like it did when I found out as a teen that Sonny and Cher had solit up. I would love to attend her performance of Hello Dolly! Will there be a PBS or pay per view of that performance for those of us unable to attend in person? I respect her for giving back and helping pave the wave for up and coming entertainers! Fascinating to hear him mention Jeffrey Katzenberg. Andrew was the original voice of Prince Eric in THE LITTLE MERMAID. Maybe he will read this, if he doesn't already know. John Musker was sad to see Jeffrey replace him. A lot of us have always liked Andrew and I wonder what Prince Eric would have been like, had Andrew performed the role.

Now Randy and Burton can play as the guess who. Awesome
