Being an impala in the wild is like being in a horror movie, every wants you...Cheetahs, lions, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, crocs, pythons, even baboons if you are young enough.
per sebra Yes but don't think that any impala would be automatically eat by a predator. Documentaries made it look easy but even for the skillest predator, the probability of catching the preys are always low.
I always enjoy these videos , the picture quality is always really good . I keep telling my kids they have to have really good careers so that they can take me to Africa so I can see these awesome animals in their natural habitat up close and personal . For now I'm glad so many people post so many aweseome videos for the rest of us to watch , Thank you .
Many are confused, why one lions was suffocating it till the end? My answer answer is - he feels impala body movement, coused by other lions eating, and instinctively keep his jaws closed.
thanks for the videos Rob. absolutely fascinating. I worry about the wild lion population - and these guys in the reserve seem to be strong, well fed, and living out the life that a lion should be. i wish i could say the same for the rest of them.
when a group of lions eat their prey, i've noticed that the one who does the suffocating, almost always stays more time than needed. A very strong stinct indeed
Hipscar was the one who most of the time suffocated the prey unlike his brothers. No wonder he was thinner then they were. Also funny how Scar Nose walking around them like "Gosh there they go again. Should I try to separate them?... Well nope, Better let them be"
The lion thats still holding the death grip must feel that most of the impala’s body is gone. He stills holds on out of spite to his brothers since they ate without him.
Odd to see this many male lions working and eating together. Although it’s possible they where all brothers. P.s no impalas where harmed in the making of this video
The suffocating one is trying to ensure his share by simpy lying on it. Per se a pretty clever strategy- that unluckily seldom seems to work, as skinny as he is...
Amazing sighting. Congrats to one and all. Special applause however to the cameraman (or lady, of course) for their work and for editing it so sensibly. Also to the others in the vehicle for keeping the babble to a minimum. Thanks for posting/sharing.
Incase y’all didn’t know, this impala was still alive. To me at least, this added to this animals savage nature. Beautiful, strong, and also fucking REAL when they need to be.
oma rainbow :D lol and what we have is a superior brain and limbs with dexterity superior to that of a lion which allows us to make and use weapons. Humans have been the superior species without the slightest threat to their existence from lions ever since they had the ablility to make a spear that takes down a mammoth out of animal bones.
Imagine you were the impala, and you had a chance to escape the grips of the lions. However, some of your vital organs have been removed from your body and you are at the point where your body is beyond recovery. Would you try and run, or accept your fate?
Three Lions laying back scratching and farting and wiggling toothpicks between their teeth. 4th lion gets off the neck. "Ok guys I think he's dead now, start eating... Guys?"
Nature Bats Last lol the fucking idiot racist who's taking this comment so fucking seriously when it isn't, when you can clearly see the thing is dead already. who talks shit and gets racist on a nature video?
Actually, he did know it was dead. The thing was he is a low rank lion (golden mane) meaning he has to wait for the other lions (black mane- these are the highest rank lion) to eat before he could eat. The only reason he held onto the neck is so that the other lions would not eat the neck since lions do not go for food guarded by another lion, so that he has something to eat as well. If he let go, the other lions would have eaten his share.
+Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos Why is it that you are out there w/out any protection? What if those beasts decided to attack you? Or look at you as a threat? I would need to be in a vehicle that closed up.
Legend has it that one lions still suffocating it
Lol now I can laugh I found the legend joke looool
I can see his mane is not as dark as the other ones, still young and immature😂😂😂
🤣🤣😝
🤣🤣🤣
The 3 lions eating repeatidly tell the other lion "we promise you, it's still alive. Keep it in the choke hold otherwise it will escape"
😂😂😂
LOLOL hilarious, but true. Happened to me once, but I caught on with the next one. Fukers
I always feel bad for the lion with the responsibility to choke and kill the prey.
lmfao.
The three must be politicians in the lion kingdom.
Being an impala in the wild is like being in a horror movie, every wants you...Cheetahs, lions, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, crocs, pythons, even baboons if you are young enough.
I was thinking that myself. Impala is on practically every predator's menu.
per sebra Yes but don't think that any impala would be automatically eat by a predator. Documentaries made it look easy but even for the skillest predator, the probability of catching the preys are always low.
Blaqnostic Probably because they are just the right size. Anyone is capable of catching one.... if they are lucky enough to.u
per sebra I believe they are the most numerous of the prey species.
+pikppa the American cheerleaders?
That lion was trying to suffocate the impala's spirit. Great video 👍👍
-hey Carl, keep holding the throat... he's still alive
-ok Lucas... let me know when he stops kicking,

Actually 3... The fourth got tricked into thinking it's trying to escape somehow... Killer strategy by the other brothers
@@TheVegetaGod313 No there All brothers In group they are definitely the most dominant Lions there!🦁💪🔥🇿🇦
This is like 4 body builders sharing one chicken.
Для таких четырёх самцов стыдно за такую трапезу, как говорится, усы промочил, в рот не попало, Им бы буйвола, вот тогда и награда!

Devan Riley Lol either way he isn't getting anything
More than half of the impala gone and the 4th lion still held on to the neck faithfully.

One hyena could have finish that impala in less than a minute but lions eats in five star's style
"You keep a firm bite on that neck, Tim, we'll save you some ribs.."
Some say they are still fighting over the impala to this day

Within two minutes I knew this impala had no chance of escape. Having no back legs was the clue.
The two lions at the end remind me of the time I asked my dad for a crab leg
lmaaaaooooo man and i love me some crab legs!!!!
Really?
pro tip: you can watch movies at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies recently.
@Byron Aarav definitely, been using flixzone for since december myself :)
You mean a frog leg...🤔😅
The lion thats still holding the death grip must feel that most of the impala’s body is gone. He stills holds on out of spite to his brothers since they ate without him.
at the end you can see the lions using the impala antlers as toothpicks.
Lmao!!😅😅😂😂
pinco palla lol bro
Lol
Impalas don’t have antlers
^ 😂😂😂
4 male lions together that’s a sight 😮🦁
How long did the 2 males battle for the head bit and who came up on top? Did the male who suffocate the impala get anything
We left before the end but it went on for nearly 20mins both just lying there holding on
+Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos
the driver how can he sit like that? is it not dangeirus?
+Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos Excellent clarity. Probably the best one I've seen. Magnificent animals.
+Junde801 They actually take turns doing this on their hunts. Just to ensure that the meal is completely neutralized.
Odd to see this many male lions working and eating together. Although it’s possible they where all brothers.

It’s amazing how house cats act just like there older cousins
Rob I wish you'd post more videos like this. Lions devouring their meals is epic.

And it’s now 2021 and still eating this impala😂😂
absolutely priceless and mesmerizing!!
Damn the lion holding the gazelle by its throat is absolutely taking no chances
Finally a good safari video quality
Impala: Are you assuming my gender?
Love the way male lions sound they sound like a car old 60's camero lol at the end both lions are like" you let go" other lion "no you let go"
No table manners at all
Lolll
the 4th lion is whispering in impala's ears "you're doing fine, you almost made it, the surgery is almost over"
😂😂😂
"guys just keep on moving it so he'll think it's still alive"
The male lion with the endless choke hold on a 90 pound Impala must think it's a 1900 pound water buffalo. LOL.
The undisputed kings of the jungle
+vic vega say that to a dentist.
human asthma I will, as long as he is not hiding behind a rifle
+vic vega lol thats like saying lions are hiding behind their teeth and claws.
+TruthSeeker no dipshit lions have evolved that way it's is what makes them supreme killers humans are not attached with guns on our bodies jackass

Those are gorgeous lions!
It's been years since this has been filmed. Are those two lions still holding on the same piece of that impala? :-D
M Howard.m0
Yes, one of them still attached to the throat.
Just 1 lion obviously
M Howard Legend has it.. that male still has the neck of the that impala
Brings new meaning to the "Lion's Share" , lol
4k thank you!
😋😋😋😋😍
The 4 most calm male lions ever eating together ... well except the one who is still holding on to the neck
Imagine you were the impala, and you had a chance to escape the grips of the lions. However, some of your vital organs have been removed from your body and you are at the point where your body is beyond recovery.
Would you try and run, or accept your fate?
The brain doesn't last more than a few minutes when vital organs (heart and lung) are gone or damaged.
One things for sure they got the right brother to strangle the prey. Old boy is serious, he takes suffocating to a new level.
If you pay attention, at 11:22 the Impala moves... I think he will survive this and be ok
Dude at 6:54 sitting on the edge of the truck like this is usual everyday stuff for him
The thing i like about lions is that they kill their prey before eating it not like fucking hyenas
Nonsense. Lions are normally more efficient killers but you can easily find videos where they also eat their prey alive.
Nah dude, even lions eat their preys alive.
Three Lions laying back scratching and farting and wiggling toothpicks between their teeth.
4th lion gets off the neck.
"Ok guys I think he's dead now, start eating... Guys?"
When the supply of meat decreased they showed what humans behave like, wanting what the other guy has.
Jimmy Miller Hungry types yes, interesting? Not always.
Joe Piervincenti yes especially white humans!
The sounds that they make while devouring that impala are fucking terrifying
I was looking up impalas and low riders. How i ended up here?
What hood do you claim
1:28 "Guys, guys, there's children present, what are ya, a bunch of animals? Sheesh"
My thoughts and prayers go to the impala.
Surprisingly the impala survived
Lol at the one dumb lion that didn't eat anything because he was too busy trying to suffocate a carcass.
haha it's right

The fourth one was like, when you get done with your foolishness, I will be down there chilling lol.
why did the lion still have it in a choke hold after it was long dead and half eaten?
Instinct.
Nope instinct is a unlearned behavior. That is intentional because if he let go his brothers would take it
Craig because his a dumbass lion.
I ask the same, he didn't eat anything
he wants the head for himself
