Aj Peake, I definitely agree... Rob is an Amazing Man...He just knows so much about the Wildlife; He's also a Fantastic Photographer...His Shots are Amazing
And an hour later every single Buffalo will be back grazing and going on with the usual Buffalo stuff. No big deal. It's not like they're gonna have a "wake" before the funeral. No more than the Lions are gonna celebrate their "booty" after their "murder". Either have nothing close to human emotions.😒
It's so crazy how basicly the lions apply a choke hold on it, limiting its oxygen and then it's a done deal. Somehow very similar to human fighting where a choke hold will end a fight fast.
Usually they like to go for the neck like most predators. That is to make the prey bleed out ( from the jugular vein ) or paralyze it by destroying the spine.
Lion are killers they know ur weak points, heck in the video the lion knew where to rip the skin to get to the stomach. Most animals are smart u have to be to live in the wild
Sexy Homeowner Well actually no, the hold on the neck is the same basic concept-they clamp down on the windpipe to suffocate the prey. The problem with buffalo is that their neck is just too thick for a lioness’ mouth to properly asphyxiate (a male lion usually can, however, which is why they’re sometimes seen joining the hunt when there’s a fully-grown buffalo involved), so instead she’ll go for the nose and mouth and bite through the nostrils so that the buffalo basically starts inhaling and eventually drowning in its own blood.
Well.. it wasn't what I'd describe as enjoyable to watch... but tremendous work nevertheless. It's amazing to have this kind of event on record and to be able to watch it anywhere. Thank you for this.
Wow Rob this is fantastic footage!! This is rare behavior!! Proves that these amazing animals do have feelings and relationships!! Very sad i no nature is nature but gee its a harsh world they live in!! This has to be the best unique wildlife footage in history!! Keep up the amazing videos!!
Thanks so much for your videos. I particularly like your minimalist commentary throughout these. A word here, a word there. Calmly spoken. In other channels there is often loud interaction and nervous laughter and chatter of those watching. Without quiet and respectful witness to such events, I think that those observers miss out on the full experience of 'being there' during these moments. Your approach seems to me to influence those accompanying you in your vehicle, to their benefit, and ours. It is always a pleasure to watch.
I enjoy seeing the Lionesses hunting... These buffalo had no idea the Lions were there. Is this the MARSH PRIDE ROB? THANKS FOR THIS AWESOME VIDEO. These Lions were hungry and happy they got a substantial meal.
Buffalo always come back too late. If they were smarter (etc...come back immedality , because they're huge animals) and within a huge herd could take on any loin and they would never lose any heard members. But they just don't have the brainpower

+TheSalonGuy thanks! After so many years of photo safaris the animals don't see the vehicles as a threat, they see humans as a predator therefore not a potential meal. Not being food, nor a threat, means they don't pay any attention to us
+TheSalonGuy it's very possible as you would be directly entering their personal space and they would see that as a threat and react accordingly. It would be different approaching on foot from a distance as the animal has time to react and move off or give some kind of warning.
Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos Rob, recently found your videos and wondering is that buffalo survived? The goose stopped and I was hoping to either see it getting up and rejoin the herd or did the lion cams back and finished it?
I have seen domestic milk cows do this to "say goodbye" to a cow that was shot by a drive by killer. They each (30) came over one at a time to sniff and then they left, seeming sad for the rest of the day.
Its really emotional! The buffalo were trying to wake their dead brother! I love the quality of the video and how it was zoomed very close to give us a very detailed view.

Jancy Varghese I called him terrorist because he hates buffaloes and says that they must die because they are ugly. That's what terrorists do . They hate certain people because of stupid reasons and think that those people must die.
Adam Ali nobody cares what you think is “ugly” that’s a subjective perception that you hold nothing more. Large herbivores like buffalo, zebra, wildebeest , gazelle , elephants, giraffe and antelope of all kinds play crucial roles in the ecosystems they live in primarily through aiding the biodiversity of plant life which other creatures depend on and being landscape architects through their natural habits, so like it or not having them around is important.
I think the Jeeps pretty much led the Buffalo or to where the lions were. There's so many humans and jeeps running around that area it's ridiculous that can't be natural.

alyy j lions will have no buffalo to eat if they are smart. One healthy buffalo is equal 1 male lion strength.
Thats why there are almost 8 billion humans in the world and not 8 billion buffalos

Buffalo lacks the courage in its instinct.
