1. did you detach the dependency from the crayfish gun mod?
2. If CGM got updated in the future will both CGM and this mod be compatible?

No also I stopped replying to the comments on RUclips because of how much I am busy
First I never detached the dependency I only using the unofficial CGM for 1.20.1 as my required Dependency
2nd , Of course yes because of it is so much improved and lot of unknown bugs got fixed

on 1.20.1 vers 8.4 of your mod, I cant seem to smelt sandstone into sulfur and iron into gun steel ingots. is there a new crafting/smelting recipe or is it a bug? id hate to go into creative just to get these materials for guns. please help.

hello yeah you need to smelt the Cut Sandstone for Sulfur
Install a JEI Mod it will lets you see al the crafting recipe
