Thanks a lot for your kind words, I am glad you like it! Very smooth printjob right there and well made video, keep up the good work!
By the way, I keep mine next to my PC and also grab and flip it whenever I wait for the PC to do something ;P
Thanks for the kind words and publishing this awesome design. It's really top notch. Once you started to flip it you never stop :)
Which files do i need to print, like all of them or are some unnessecary. There are alot of files and i cant figure it out.
@@BinkvH It depends, because you can choose/customize:
1) Grip: revolver_grip_classic.stl and revolver_body_classic.stl OR revolver_body.stl and revolver_grip_left.stl and revolver_grip_right.stl
2) Revolver barrel: - just choose only one file starting with 'revolver_barrel' (the one which you like best)
3) Korn - revolver_korn.stl OR revolver_korn_bicolor_fixing.stl and revolver_korn_bicolor_tip.stl
4) Hammer - hammer.stl or hammer_brimmed.stl (the same part but the second one has included brim - useful while printing with ABS)
5) sl_button.stl and sl_body.stl - optional quick loader
6) Files starting with 'disp-' are the dispaly base parts
Also read the 'What you need section' from thingiverse Summary for the required hardware and which parts to print with ABS (I used PETG).
The assembly drawing is helpful: i.imgur.com/3nPtyNg.jpg
@@medyk3D is it possible to print in PLA, my printer is in my room and i dont have the time to install a good ventilation system.
Yes it is possible, but the lifetime might be limited. I printed mine with PETG, which not as bad as ABS. Also there are just a few small parts which are not supposed to be printed with PLA. So you can start printing, leave the room and air it out after printing.
This is the best channel I've ever watched in my entire life keep up the good work!

Thank you.
I wonder if the cartridges could be modified with some kind of a spring setup with a nerf ball. Basically you out the nerf balls in, push down the spring, then the hammer hits something that releases the spring and the nerf ball flys out
Not enough space to put a spring big enough to push the nerf. Maybe a pneumatic system could be used? No idea.
I printed this gun on an anycubic mega s and it worked out pretty good, except the hammer sometimes doesn't click unless u tap it with ur finger, and the cylinder doesn't rotate while inside the body when u pull the hammer, other than that, very good design, no other complaints
Looks very nice!

Sir how much grams of filaments you used for one revolver you made in this video?
I weighed it for you and it weighs 215 grams
Did you use a special kind of filamente or just normal filamente also could you use a crealoty endear 3
Most of the parts can be printed with PLA. You can use PETG for the Cylinder-Stopper, Trigger, Hammer and Hammer_Rotator.
Info from the creator:
ABS/PETG filament: I heavily recommend you to use ABS for the Cylinder-Stopper, as PLA is not as flexible and will change shape under load pretty quickly. Also recommended for Trigger, Hammer and Hammer_Rotator. These likely work with PLA too (at least at first, long term is another story), but I have not tested. Many have reported, that PETG works too!
@@medyk3D sorry i am sort of new to 3d printing so i dont quite understand much of what you said but did you use. Metallic filement
@@coldbeanz I used silver PLA for the most parts. But there are some that you need to print out of PETG or ABS (those are different kind of filament).

As I understand for making it works as expected we need to screw 1 sharp bolt in the hammer only?
As I mentioned in 7:09 I did not have any M5 metric thread cutter so I used the sharpened bolt to make the threads. All the others are selfthreading.
The link to the files doesnt seem to be working anymore. Do you happen to have another way of getting the stl files?
I'm also looking for it. would also like to have the files.
I have no idea, let's ask @DeSteiner what happend? He is the creator and owner of the files.
I messaged the creator on printables.
There is only Winchester model on his printables www.printables.com/pl/model/30394-desteiner-model-1887-mechanically-working-winchest
And also on MMF: www.myminifactory.com/users/DeSteiner
There is nothing on thingiverse.
Very well done. Now on to the next level. Make one again. This time from steel with a CNC machine.
Sure, but there are only two problems:
- I do not own CNC machine
- It requires concession
If only it were that easy
And create bullets with gunpowder in them
Good gun! Abs or pla?
It's all printed PLA. It's just a prop.
How long did the assembling take also did you 3d print the bullets
The bullets are also 3D printed. Assembling I guess was about one hour. If you are not doing it for the first time that would be a lot quicker. The most complicated part is getting all the screws and a spring.

@@iwasJay Hmm that's sound like a fun challenge. Maybe Steiner3D will do it eventaully :)
And do you need to make the screw shorte?
I had to shorten a few of them.
Would this print on a flashforge adventure 3 lite?
Yes, why not, but you would have to print shorter barrel probably. No other parts are longer than 150. And read the description on the thingiverse carefully. Share your results.
@@medyk3D will do, thanks!
There's only one thing that could make this better
3d printed screws
The 3D printed screws that small would be hard to print using a FDM printer. And the probably not strong enough in the long run.

Online or local hardware store :) I am from Poland and I bought it from Allegro (it's kind of Amazon here).
