Absolutely. She loves him. You can sense that. In my home town, they'll say "that's her one schilling rope", i.e. her one and only child...;). He is shy but coming out of his shell.

Hi Rose! Hi Anzai! Mama and son time! Such a precious moment Rose! I love how you were feeding kernels to Anzai! Enjoy it while you can, because they grow up way too quickly. I love this time of year, when you find an abundance of fresh corn on the cob. What a blessing Rose, to literally pick freshly grown produce. I’m meeting with my besties tomorrow for an 80th Birthday party. We are having a BBQ, and guess what? I’m responsible for the BBQ chicken and corn on the cob. My husband is Hispanic, and we love our elote (corn), Mexican style. Have you ever slathered mayonnaise, then sprinkled chile powder, garlic salt, parmesan cheese, and a touch of fresh lime juice? If you’ve not tried it, Rose, please do! I think you would love it!
I don’t know about Rose, but I’m sure going to try that!
I hate the taste of mayonnaise, so I would not like it. By the way, I prefer to eat my corn raw when it's freshly picked. It tastes very, very sweet. Sometimes I put it on my toss salads.

Hi Rose, I am from Kenya and I love grilled corn.
If you dont want them to get hard while grilling, you make the fire a little stronger. That way they cook faster and remain juicy even after grilling

OMG!!! It's corn season here in Cameroon too. I can't wait to harvest the corn I planted behind my home. Meanwhile, I can't wait to start eating grilled corn by the road side.

After removing the corn's husks boiling or steaming is better and faster. The kernals are tender and sweet. When grilling you don't need to brown after you take the husks off. It's cooked already and sweet.
Some salt and or butter/ghee/ shoyu adds flavour .
Love corn, the hairs can be used to make a tea that's good for your kidneys

Hi Rose! in my country we usually put butter with honey to glaze the corn, or make chilli glaze sauce if we want the spicy grilled corn

In Jamaica we call the roast corn. I wonder if our Jamaican children love it as we older folks did? My children are grown.

We the Southern and Eastern Africans love corn, we grew up on it. The corn steamed bun(玉米馒头), is my favorite bread in China.

Rose your beautiful little boy likes his corn the same way I do mine with one exception. The way it is the most delicious and authentic tasting is when the entire hulled corn is soaked in water for 45 minutes to an hour and then grilled slowly for the same amount of time. When you peel back the hull and silk afterwards and sink your teeth in the corn kernels they are bursting with sweet, juicy, earthiness, and you don't need anything else to dress the corn such as (salt, pepper, butter, mayonnaise, cotija cheese, tajin or lime etc) because the taste speaks for itself. My God! Very few offerings can match this delicious one in my opinion. I know your life there on the farm is uber busy, but should you have a chance to try my recipe and test it out on the little one please let me know how it goes?
