Yeah definitely for DeSoto has been pretty good I've been hearing from a lot of people too I've been fishing Clearwater pass and like I said me and my wife did good underneath Sankey yesterday we caught a bunch of mackerel and stuff so the fish are definitely there and probably going to go fishing for DeSoto pretty soon😊😊😊

Yeah me and my wife usually make mangrove snapper in the oven with lemon and garlic and rosemary really good so which way you usually like making it I heard usually like grilling it😊😊

Pier used to be good in the summer when it opened at 5:45. This weekend high tide around 8 not good.

Great job but quick question I looked up the pier on maps and it was saying that the pier is closed?
@@scatpackshon2745 last time that I was there they were doing some construction. One section was closed the rest of the pier was open.
Is that the bayside pier next to the playground on fort desoto or is it the beach pier right off the museum parking lot next to North Beach.

Hey Bush where do you catch the mojarra around ft desoto? On the beaches near the pier or elsewhere? I usually catch mine at John's Pass but can't get my hands on them when I go to ft desoto. Any help would be appreciated thank you!

The key must be to get there early like you do. I have been Ft Desoto/Skyway multiple times afternoon and nobody is catching ANYTHING other than greenbacks and dolphins.

I'm just curious.......Why do people keep calling the Skyway Bridge fishing pier and Fort DeSoto fishing pier Tampa? I grew up 10 minutes away from both......and they both are in St.Petersburg, FL......Not Tampa. These fishing piers are NOT in Tampa.
Sometimes places nearby are just better known, no one knows St. Petersburg but everyone knows Tampa Bay
St. Petersburg is part of the bay. Hence people call it part of "Tampa"
