I love the consequences of the wheel of sadness! As for a title for the challenge I actually keep calling it the love & learning challenge. Cause each month I'll either love it or learn something. Don't think it's a good name, but that's what my placeholder says 😅
Fun v Function, Escape v Elevate, Prose v Productive, Leisure v Learning, Entertainment v Enlightenment, Unwind v Understand - umm yeah lol - looking forward to it - I was a casual observer this year, next year I hope to be an active participant.
I love today's video ❤💜💖💗💞 and I love your notebook's on your desk I love all the colors and I now love writing in them 📗📕📘📙📓📒📔📖🖋🖋❤💜💖💗💞 when I was at high school they made us read a books and now I don't like to read books I wish they got us to write in notebook's and journals I now Love writing in them I been writing in them since March of 2020 and it's now December and I am still writing 📚📚📚📚🖋🖋🖋🖋❤💜💖💗💞
Hi.. =) Thanks a lot for the invitation..I am very excited being finally part of a book club.. =) I watch your content since almost a year now and it is always fun with you. Please keep up the good work - you are so creative..
One of my goals this year is to hangout more in my online communities. So I'm gonna jump into this book club with both feet and get more social on the discord! Thanks for the invite!
I love the Wheel of Sadness. It reminds me of the Jar of Misery we created when my older daughter was in middle school. It was filled with chores and if she did something wrong, she would choose from the Jar of Misery.
By the way, in what book, at the end of it, can you read a short story called, " Haddum Had A Harem" ? Was it in the book "The Kid Gallagher Story " by Robert C Bauer? My girlfriend really wants to know. I personally would love to read a review of it. Any help please?
The big question is, how are we going to get the books? If you choose to borrow the book from the public library, let's just hope that the book is available and NOT borrowed by someone is also participating in this book club. Public libraries may own multiple copies of the book at one location or at several different locations, and if they are all taken, there is a wait time for you. Even if there is no wait time, you still have to wait a bit for the book to be transported and delivered to your preferred location. If you choose to buy the book at the bookstore, the costs of all the books will add up. I once went to the public library, and it had a lot of bags of books. Each bag had multiple copies of the same book title. The book bags were for book clubs. It's so that local book clubs can all read the same book at the same time. So, if I were you, I would search for local book clubs first.
This is an international book club so one local library might have the book but that may not be the case for other people in their local libraries in other countries. Personally, I like that this is an online community and the book discussion takes place online with people from different countries who bring their own perspectives and experiences to the discussion. And as Jess mentioned, you don't have to participate every month 😊
Getting through Kindle or other ebook options is a cheaper way to grab the books if you would like to own a copy, or you could have a look online as some times you can find them if you're lucky. Otherwise, depending where you are, and how spread out we all are, you should be able to get it from the library hopefully 😀 Or maybe your library has an ebook option you can look into! Goodluck!
Monica and Rachel offer excellent suggestions 😄 I’m very much of the “if there’s a will, there’s a way” mentality on it 💪 we’ve had a couple of people find getting the book club books challenging this year, but I can’t remember hearing about anybody not getting it in time to be able to join book club 🤔 (not READING the book before book club though…that’s a different story 😂)
I love this ideA (but hate you’re so far ahead, I’ve only just done my December monthly spread), count me in but I’m in Canada so time zones will probably factor
Hey there! Sorry the link is being odd, have you tried copying the full address into your browser? bit.ly/JCCDiscord (the capitalisation is important too I believe 😝)
@@JashiiCorrin I completely understand! (That you're suggesting we honour the 50 year anniversary of Carrie with making 2024 Stephen King's year in the book club.) 😋🖤
I used to read a LOT of Stephen King when I was younger, but I am at a different season of life and they aren't my cup of tea right now. I live in the same state in the US as he does and he is a really awesome person. His career is inspirational and he is very open about having overcome addiction issues. He also speaks out politically in a way I appreciate.

I like the alliteration 💪 a valid contender 👏

Heck yeah for coming through with the names! 💪 thank-you so much! 😄💜
Awesome names, i like the Escape v Elevate and Entertainment v Enlightenment
Fantasy vs reality? Entertainment vs educational ? Sound like a fun year of books! See you over there!

Haha it can be a bit intimidating at first, but it's not too bad once you know your way around! 💜😄

When I click on the invite for the Discord, it says that the address is invalid. Is that a Safari problem? Does Discord not work on Safari? 🤷🏼♀
The Discord link is not working. Could you post a a new one? Thanks!

Haha 😝 punishmentttt 😂
@@JashiiCorrin so damn true 🤣🤣🤣
How could "Read a Stephen King book" ever be considered a punishment?!?
Please explain!
Haha Stephen King is just very not in Rachel and mine's "happy place" 😂😝
