- Roman Kondratiev shows off the SU-34 with ordnance at MAKS 2017, loading up a combination of 7 missiles from varying types, leaving still 5 extra hardpoints empty.
It is amazing that a heavy fighter-bomber like this can perform these high-energy flights with good turn performance with such a combat loading!
In this video I have combined the displays from 3 different days, all filmed from different angles. Hope you enjoy it! :D

Great video, thank you for sharing. I like how the camera goes from tracking the aircraft to searching for it by moving to a wider angle when it goes out of view. It is a good visual 'metaphor' for a search and track radar. And, I 0:34 love 0:57 those 2:31 effects 6:16! 8:17, 15:16

Regarding the plane disappearing at 2:43, it was on the descending half of a loop.
It just kept diving down faster than I anticipated so I lost the track!

They've proved to be quite a performers!
Only the F15 E and the Tornado IDS are the Western equivalent of the SU-34, I believe?
Nowadays, these birds are so multirole that all gets mixed up...
But the F-35 was actually designed from the ground up for ground strike role, so that should be considered as well ;)
@@Airguardian Thank you, sir, for that clarification, when at "multirole", if at present, many fighter aircraft have this capability, nothing will ever replace a specialized aircraft, for example, the so-called "super plane". F35, will never have the capabilities of an A 10, but that remains only my opinion

You can take a ride in a private owned Mig 29 in Illinoise. It is $1,500.00 for an hour flight. I am already saving for it. I agree with your message. I would love to see these aircraft at U.S. airshows.

@@markmd9 quick lesson for ya: Russian Federation was part of USSR)) the biggest one btw! was called RFSR (Russian Federative Soviet Republic). now about SU-34. yes! the original project was started during last days of USSR. does that fact make it somehow not russian for you?

Over the years, the republics that separated from Russia did not build anything at all, but only destroyed everything that Russia gave them. So yes - this is a Russian plane, and nothing else.

You can understand more about a culture through its engineering than through its people. Americans value expensive toys. Russian value dangerous toys.
Sukhoi really hit out of the ballpark with the su-27 family. The paint schemes dont hurt either. I wish western fighters were a little more colorful like these.

@@Airguardian It's mostly the honour of Suchoj to turn the early typical clumpsy russian fighter design from the fifties/sixties/seventies (except eventually later MiG 21design) into an extremely elegant shape. Nedless to spot on high aerodynamical effectivity

It's armed I'm impressed! Usually in air shows they strip down the plane before doing maneuvers.

SU34 is foremost developed as a medium bomber derived from the airframe of SU27 with the speed and manueuverability of a fighter and was set as a complement alongside SU25 Frogfoot to provide CAS and antiship capability in the navy nevertheless it can still do air to air combat/ support roles if required.
Amazing how the humam being get to make so beautiful and mortal machines at the same time! This one still have a bathroom and a kitchen inside. Perfect.

Great footage AirG@! Its Great to see the Hellduck on Display. Allthough i think those weapons are just empty shell. Despite its heavy weight, this thing has the heart of the Flanker. Its really a beauty.

@@Baskara0490 I think strike fighter is more accurate. It’s main mission is to attack ground targets, but it can still dogfight and has AAMs, which you wouldn’t find on something like, say, the B-52
The most interesting, in addition to the fact that all the machines are combatant (PAK FA T-50 already has a serial number Su-57), the Su-34 is still fully armed with weapons ... let the missile without a warhead, but nevertheless...
And still put out a hell of a demonstration! :D

I am using a Sony AX53 camcorder with gimbal-stabilized lense.
With max-zoom, the image gets a bit blurry so I use post-processing to make it look slightly sharper. I also change the color a wee bit on some videos (This is one of them, the original looked more grey-ish so I added some saturation).

I was so impressed with a SU-27 at a airshow in 2017 or so, it was easily the best looking and performing aircraft at the show.
Between shows everyone could try and sit in the cockpit, my guess is around 200 kids tried to sit in it.
When the show started: help the kid out, wipe off the melted ice cream from the seat and go.
After the show: park, cool down, get the ladder and bring on more kids to sit in the plane.
At the same show, the F-35 was a plywood model painted to look like the real one.
I got lucky enough to get to sit in one once! (Su-27SKM bort number 305, winter camo)
Been to 5 different airshows with russian airplanes, and only once I manage to get in one, so yeah, those that achieve it can consider themselves lucky! :D

Like the TU22 Bomber with 2 tail cannons,they think about doing the same thing on the SU34,in the article they mentioned either 2 or 4 AK 47 barrels with enormous amount of explosive rounds but it would be installed instead of the 2 parachutes,it would be very mobile an shot by the co-pilot using a cam-screen.
