You are correct. One 20 US gallon tank infront of the pilot. I know of at least one sonex that has been fitted with additional wing tanks. Others have mounted an additional tank behind the seat. It's all extra weight, reduces the payload and may upset the balance of the aircraft. I'm used to flying surrounded by fuel as my other aircraft has the tanks immediately behind the pilot and passenger seats 🙂
