I remember when I finally beat Turbo Man and first got to this stage, this theme just captured my attention with how somber and beautiful it is. I feel like it captures Mega Man's anger and feeling betrayed at that point perfectly.
This track is, bar none, my absolute favorite from the _Mega Man 7_ OST, and your YM2612-style remix/cover did it even more justice. You're also making me wish that Capcom had made a Genesis/Mega Drive version of _MM7_ to have a simultaneous release to the Super NES/Super Famicom version's. Keep up the good work!
Your original version of this mix appears to be gone, and it was by-far my favourite Mega Man track you've remixed bar-none. The notes you chose for the original and the subtle space/star-like sounds gave it an epicness unrivaled by this new version. Which is ironic, because this new version sounds more like the original and thus more "authentic". But man... V1 was absolute top brass and you should really re-upload it. It was perfect. I'm listening to it right now and it lives rent-free in my head each day. It's just so friggin good and I'm so sad that I can't find it on your channel anymore.
Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. This Rocks, Man! I mean, people need to quit calling this game a pile of Junk already! I feel like I'm gonna burst once someone else says this game sucks. They act like it is just frozen in time and aged poorly, sure the dialouge can sometimes freeze the flow but it's great. Leaving it in the Shade or up in a cloud only to continue praising MM2. Oh yeah the remix is amazing too. On par with the original! Best remix of this song by far!
It's more about Megaman's journey of self-questioning. Bass, who was assumed to be an ally up to this point, turned out to be on Willy's side, with Megaman questioning how trusting he is. Wily used Megaman's strength as his weakness: His morality. He got over it eventually, but we don't know the canonical time gap between 7 and 8
*Pay your light bill, Wily!* 😠
Also, why does this remix remind me of MJ's _Billie Jean?_ Don't get me wrong, it sounds great! 🎶 😎
I get more of a Thriller vibe from it.
@@teranokitty That too!
@Edward Gaines: If Michael Jackson worked on a _Mega Man_ game on the Genesis/Mega Drive, one of its tracks would probably have sounded like this.
1:26
Bass:
"You are Far too Weak Megaman!"
Megaman:
"Haha Weapons go Brrrrr."
I remember when I finally beat Turbo Man and first got to this stage, this theme just captured my attention with how somber and beautiful it is. I feel like it captures Mega Man's anger and feeling betrayed at that point perfectly.
Whoever's playing in the footage has no fear.
No kidding.
Look at that Bass fight! I also never knew you could slam the blocks back at Guts Man, so thats cool.
Bass: "Wily may fear you, but I do not!"
Mega Man: "...I don't care, Bass."
I think that's either a TAS or the bean1127(?) guy.
I'm With You On That One Brother
Nobody ever gives this theme any love, but it kicks more ass than all of the other wily castle themes in the series honestly
objectively false but it is very good
@@pacnb It's not objectively false. How can an opinion even be objectively false? Is there really an objective metric on how much butt a song slaps?
It doesn’t kick ass, but it gives off an... emotional, delicate atmosphere somehow.
And I love it.
Mega Man 2 is still the best song in the series. but this one is IMO the 2nd best in the whole series in terms of Wily Stage songs.
@@D0ntTaseM3Br0 not even close
Best Wily Castle 1 theme in my opinion... No offense to other popular Wily Castle stage themes, lol
I wholeheartedly agree with you!
The best Mega Man stage music.
What about the one from Mega Man 3?
@@esmooth919 nah
Megaman may be really in a piss off mood.
Like, look at the way he get through the stage.
He's been through this shit like 6-8 times by the time of the SNES era. I'd be kinda done with everything, too.
1:31
@@SHARPSPEED fucker even tried to kill wily after going through this shit
Bass trashed his home and hurt Dr. Light after pretending to be a friend. I'd be pissed off too.
Holy freak, that Bass battle, he got obliterated!
I like the way V1 starts better, but once the "main show" starts it's a lot better balanced than its predecessor in all the right ways! Love it!
v1?
My favourite Wily Stage theme, Mega Man 5's pretty close behind that. Great job with getting the strongest part really hitting hard.
Dang wily wasn’t playing when he was choosing his this theme
@JohnnyTheWolf Wily wasn't playing when he chose this as his theme.
@JohnnyTheWolf changed it
@@masterbison8957 thx man
My favorite wily stage theme returns, yet again, in remixed form. I look forward to the differences that this version has compared to the first one.
Once again, another solid remix.
Ah, someone with excellent taste.

"Wily may fear you, but I do not!" Only to get combo'd to near death in like 10 seconds flat.
That's gotta be the cleanest run of Wily Stage 1 I've ever seen
Your original Genesis remix of this track was great, but V2 is some next level good shit.
Thanks man, I have alot of plans for redos of these soundtracks, and MM11 next month
One of my favourite Wily Stage themes~
to that bass fight is sick
I already love this song on the original soundfont and MAN the genesis soundfont really tells the story on how megaman is DONE with wily's BS! lol
This sounds too cool.
Every MegaMan player strives to be the guy (or bot) playing.
Wily Fortress 2 seems to be the favorite of many, but this one's always been mine. The YM2612 fits this song too well.
Kickass cover!
These beats tho...
This is my favorite Wily theme, I listen to it if I have depression. Thanks Mr. Renegade!
I remember listening a bunch to your old remix of this awesome theme, awesome to hear this new rendition dude!!
One of my fav themes from the game and Wily themes at all.
I am crying tears of joy! This is so beautiful!
woow, this is epic bro
The old remix was awesome, but this captured better the feeling of the original
I’ve been waiting for a genisis remix of wily’s stage

This song describes how enraged megaman is after Bass rekt the lab
YYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!
Nice Work.

Me: Oh damn shit's about to get real ain't it
My new favorite 2023,masterpiece
This was one of the best wily tunes out there, and a few others.
Song too much for wily though. Lol

I would say this might actually be better than the original, no more of that whiney capcom SNES guitar
Yo, Renegade, have you checked out the new PureSabe hack, Rockman 7 EP?
Sounds softer and Closer to a CPS2 remix than A Sega Genesis Remix.
Fear fortress zone
F. Trunks Theme Ever.
Those hats couldve just been psg
This doesn't sound as good as the original
