Thank you G. I appreciate it. I have a bit of a head start in the "running around" with a camera department. But mostly I think it's mainly me trying to shake loose the various pillars of what a miniature painting video is "supposed" to look like.
“I don’t use a colour wheel” - The fellow with a colour wheel as a logo When you cracked you paint scheme book I almost leapt for joy. It’s the only way I can keep track of my schemes when I need to go back to one or share what I did with someone. No other painter I follow has even referenced that method... I don’t watch a ton of them though...
Yeah, don't trust logos! All I'm saying 😂 Yeah, the book is great. In one end - I paint out every single paint I've got, sort of in "order". As in keeping all the colours separate. In the other end I "write down" schemes and such.
It seems I have stumbled into a bit of philosophical stuff haven't I? I think telling people "how to" paint stuff feel less and less right... but just getting people to paint feels right. Still figuring out the equation though :)
Anyone can make a how to video for various painting techniques, but not everyone is capable of being as philosophical regarding the hobby such as yourself. I love your work, keep at it!!
That's what I came here to comment about. My wife and I both cringed as he dumped stuff that even bounced off the pot! I've seem less intense suspense thriller movies.
Hard agree. Getting organized gets me pumped. If I don't have to do work on my space. I do more work at my space. Your paint book sir. I think I'll take a page out of that book and mount the on the rack next to the colors! Kerchow I did the puns.
Fine video, very relatable and a great summary of how hobbies can mutate and become unruly in a short period of time. One thing a like about hobbies is that we can get sucked into all of the stuff around the edges, but you're spot on, don't let all that get in the way....too much 😉
Keeping the beast tamed is an ongoing struggle. Being a family man I often don't have the option to paint at my hobby table, so I use my mobile paint tray. I got it from an online retailer and it has slots for paints, brushes, tools etc. It's handy when the family gripes about Dad not being around in the common areas.
Wow 172 comments, now that's growing! Feels good to know someone else, specially you Alex, feel that way about colors. For the past 15 years I've only painted stuff I sculpted myself and the reason behind this is that when I feel the painting urge it's the paints calling me so, usually my hobby time involves being "seduced" by a color or scheme, then sculpt something that could meet that painting urges. No rules set nor game related, just an excuse to slap the colors I wanted. Still I said that before in your painting sets video: that is a good star's but a decade doing so taught me you can end having redundancy in hues, many blues and not so many yellow or whatever. That's why I ended up getting the scale 75 fantasy and games sets, in hopes to get a 'balanced' whole range. Watching the video for the second time now. I really can relate to the "going to the store and being attracted to paints" part. Keep the good stuff coming and stay safe!
Javier! Yes, things have grown. I am very happy for it. I can see what you mean, I have a tendency to like certain colours, so my range of blues definitely are more that the range of yellows. And I can start to feel that a lot of what I paint is blue because that is what I see in front of me... but maybe yellow would have been better. I've taken a bit of a pause with buying more paint, getting to know what I've got before I expand further. I must say though, I really like working with Scale75 & the Fantasy & Game together. The S75 are thicker, the F&G thinner and, I feel, more opaque. They compliment each other well, also mixing the two gives me something that works really well on the brush. The WarFront I have not really figured out yet, a bit of a strange consistency... although takes thinner very well, making me think they had airbrush in mind when creating that line. Anyway. I'm very glad to have you around still :) Hope you are well, and the parrot :)
Your videos are consistently excellent. I am very glad to have found your channel. I think I find your perspective so refreshing because you pose in public many questions I thought were to myself only. I came to peace with my paint demon after I realized I was getting a bottle of liquid fun/imagination and not being some sort of low-end hoarder.
This video really helped my see why I do some of the shopping I do. Without thinking about it. But now its crystal clear. All the brushes, paint. etc, etc is to inspire myself. And I know it's true now when I reflect back on it. Thanks for the epiphany! And keep up the great work!
Congratulations on your Success, I subscribed at the 3500 marks about 2 weeks ago and you are now at 17.8K and 1000 viewed in less than 1 hour. Glad you are getting recognition for your amazing content and video/painting quality. I have no idea why I am so emotionally invested in your RUclips success, maybe it is cheering for the underdog, I never comment or do a thumbs up, but I do on your videos. Maybe it is because I am enjoying your journey as I am only 2 months into the hobby after a 25-year break and your videos have inspired me and confirmed I made the right choice to get back into painting.
Thanks, and thank you for the support :) I must say I am enjoying the hobby a lot more as an adult. Maybe it's the need to "wind down", not something kids usually are to find of. I also like that "me time" is not spent only in front of a screen, but actually creating something.
lol... see, this is why I stay with 2 brands. When I first got back into mini-painting (I used to paint back in my teenage years back in the 70's and 80's) a couple of years back, I was used to having primary colors (Red Blue and Yellow), black and white and a brown... and used just those for a year. I got pretty good at mixing paints. I'm semi-retired now and have a bit of funds that I put towards a retirement-hobby. So I got more paint... but I know how that demon grows. Take care!
Yeah, I mean that's the thing. We could be just working with primary colours and that... and in theory definitely don't need all the different bottles. But for me I get inspired by seeing the shades, but also, when just wanting to sit down for 20 minutes and paint something you started a few days ago. It's nice to not have to worry about mixing the right blend again. That said, I think we all would benefit from a bit of colour theory.
I have some idea why RUclips brought you to my interest screen, and for a change I was pleasantly surprised. I subscribed instantly. Your insight is refreshing, thank you.
Another awesome video. I totally agree that philosophy fits right in with any creative outlet. Making the time, and space, for our hobby and keeping things organized; at least for me, keeps the hobby enjoyable and less stressful.
A mess can be inspiring for some. But I think there is a difference between organized mess and disorganized mess :) Spending a lot of time looking for stuff is just not worth it for me, especially not when hobby time is relatively short.
I have the same cheap IKEA desk lamp that you gave to your son. Thinking about upgrading my lighting situation soon. It's funny to see something we have in common aside from the enthusiasm for little plastic creatures.
First paints to buy: Buy a basic set that contains at least one of the following: black, white, bone colour, a grassy green, a neutral yellow, a neutral red, a neutral blue, silver. You'll probably want a basic brown (although you can make this by mixing blue, red and yellow), a skin tone suitable for whatever you are painting (because you're going to use loads of it and you don't want to mix it - probably an armour colour for the same reason) and a black wash and brown wash because every basic paint scheme calls for it. Yes you can start without the bone (mix a little yellow with a lot of white) and the green (mix your blue and yellow), but chances are you'll use them both loads, so why waste time mixing them up. If you want to expand from that the recommended starter selection for any paintings is called the 6 primary pallet, basically two primary colours: - An orangey red - Cadmium Red - A violet red - Crimson Red or Quinacridone Red - A purpley blue - Ultramarine Blue - A greeny blue - Cerulean Blue - An orangey yellow - Cadmium Yellow - An greeny yellow - Arylide Yellow. Having these six, plus a silver, black, white and a wash mixing medium will give you the ability to make 70%-90% of paint colours on the market (minus neons and very pure looking colours). Certainly a good starting place. Thankfully most painting companies have done the hard work for you and you'll find they already supply starter sets with all or most of these paints (or similar paints) in them, plus a few more. You might have to buy one or two extras in some cases. Vallejo 70101 is a pretty good starter set IMHO - goes for under 25 GBP on Amazon. The only issue is it lacks a greeny yellow and a greeny blue. Plus you'll need to get that brown and black wash or a wash medium - Army Painter do good ones. Although their brown washes can be a little inconsistent between pots. If I was going to get a GW starter set, I would get the the 40k one as it at least comes with some of the basic primary colours listed above - but tbh, they all look pretty poor and expensive for what you get. I hope this helps someone.
@@52Miniatures no worries, hopefully new hobbiests will find this and save some time, effort and money. I should have probably recommend looking up how to mix paint colours, colour theory and getting a colour wheel. Adobe Color is a good wheel as it'll also show you colours that go together. Mixing colours and colour theory is just something everyone just has to learn. I'm not going to start explaining it here as it would take too long and there is plenty of information on it already, just do a search you'll find it. Keep up the great videos, very inspiring!
Nice paint rack and great video - as always. I build myself a wooden carrying case, that sits under the table. Whenever I need it, I can put it on the table. It has two symmetrical sides. Each containing 40 dropper bottles. It was half empty when I build it half a year ago - now it is full :)
That paint rack is fantastic and makes me want to organise my painting area even more than the set of drawers we currently have. One day! Seeing the sticker for Appleby in your workshop made me smile too - I'm from just up the road from and drive past Appleby-in-Westmorland every time we go to visit my family.
Aye, I guess narrowing down projects is a nice thing. If one paints a specific thing, all the paints don't have to come forth. But on the other hand... its fun to look at all the paint :)
So glad I discovered your channel. It's a wealth of great hobby instruction, thoughtfully put together, well-filmed, and so entertaining. You always manage to add some hilarious comments! So much fun to be had at 52Miniatures - you're now my favourite channel! 😉👏
The ‘best’ light profile is such a pain... but I love it. Also I think i get the most joy from making the thing that makes the thing. Furniture or tools!
Always appreciate your thoughts! I had similar issues with my initial paint set up. I ended up with nail polish racks that are wall mountable, side by side. Good all my paint and I have room to add more. I can see them all at a glance and everything is much more organized and easy to find.
I comment rarley but watch all of your videos and have to tell you that they are lovley. I take helpful stuff away or see things that make me smile because I have been there and would have wished for somone to point me in the right direction in a polite non judgeing way instead of figureing stuff out myself. For the first time I want to suggest a future topic. Filters over true metallic metall. On social media it's a trending topic but nobody gives any good advice instead there is always .. "buy an airbrush and clear paints" or "use contrast paints over silver". I didn't test much myself so far but with Contrast Paints, Clear Paints f.e. Tamia, Inks from GSW and Scale 75 there are a lot of ways to produce colored metallics via a filter. In addition there would be the possiblity of direct colored metallics. But I rambled enough :) Maybe you want to do it, maybe not. I will keep watching anyway ;)
Thanks S. I was considering getting into that in my metallics video. Actually did some test minis. But I scrubbed the idea, the video was getting to long as it was. I will probably revisit the subject :)
Got here from Geek Gaming Scenic's "recommendations" video, and rather enjoyed this video. Some good food for thought, and definitely some inspiration on hobby setup and organization.
Its called 'layout influenced design' meaning a good layout of tools and materials will make your work better because everything that should be easy is easy. A good shop set up is worth 2 assistants.
Just come across your channel, and must say big kudos. as a fledgling you tuber myself I find your delivery of content very serene and informative. Thanks for producing your content.
Another excellent video! I had a smile thinking about a prior (relevant) discussion we had relating to paint sets/inspiration in another video :D Cheers!
Your little paint palette booklet around 6:50 made me laugh, because I have one exactly like it! and it’s in need of an update, because I just got some new paints and am almost out of pages…
I could really relate to this video, my workspace, my colours, my tools, my notebooks, have all been a part of my painting journey, I enjoy them as much as the painting itself. And wow 18k subs, you are flying!! Congratulation :)
I'm glad I'm not the only one, I have a lot of paint. A lot. I don't like mixing paint, I like being able to pick up a pot and it's the exact same colour every single time, without the need for me to work some alchemical feat. I'd be like Blackadder, looking for the "purest green!". Great work on the paint shelving btw, it looks great!
I like your style, there aren’t many minipainting channels that look like yours. I would love to be proven wrong. Though you were British for a short moment but then I heard the Swedish and realised yes this man has a lot of style. I can relate more. Also the cinematography or photo I don’t know what is what, it very much works. Also how you give the viewer the why and your purposes. Not just the how. Very important. I like the string hula conversion very much, would you mind showing me the ropes I want my own!
Nice to hear it K. I realised I was filming a lot of stuff just based on what goes.. not really enjoying. So now I'm trying to enjoy myself more. It's time consuming though, so.. sometimes more, sometimes less visual creativity. I mean, it a regular string shelf with just the homemade paint racks added, no more conversions than that.
Fantastic. What you had to say about getting inspiration from new paints and other products really resonated. But I'll try not to use it as an excuse to buy everything!
If I had to recommend one paint set for starting, it would definitely be Vallejo 70.140 Model Color Basic Colors USA set; such an universal collection of paints, you can't really go wrong here.
Your videos are extremely high quality. i've just discovered you today and now I'm binge watching your whole channel. Amazing stuff keep up the great work my dude!!
I have literally just started with painting minis, I have cut a cardboard box and turned it into a painting station, but I'm already looking at upgrading and I've only got as far as putting primer on my ork boyz. 😊
This is so well presented. I love the story of the living clutter growing and evolving, and it's all so very applicable and personal. Maybe it's time to build a paint rack. Thank you for this awesome video!
I recently cut down massively on all my paints as it was actually making it very difficult to pick out colour schemes and I found myself often mixing my own colours on my wet palette anyway - it’s all too easy to fall into the trap of needlessly buying paints all because you’ve gone off what they recommend on the W back of miniature boxes or because you’ve followed along to a RUclips tutorial. My hobby space thanked me massively for selling 65 of my 100 odd citadels lol
Great Simon, it's all about finding what works. It really helps for me to have the paints painted out in my little book. It makes me see the colours for what they are... It's easy to think of a paint as something reserved for a certain mini, but looking at the actual colour and not the name of the paint can go a really long way.
I started with a starter set from Army Painter. I quickly found that some paints are go to's for a common color. Ushabti Bone, I'm looking at you! But for most of my sessions I start with the primary colors with black and white for values. Liquitex acrylic gouache. 😊
@@Svedsken did you find most of the colours in that army painter set never used? I have so many from that set sitting unused, I’ve given quite a few to my 4 year old niece to learn how to paint with. I do think they could put together a much better set when it comes to colour choices
@@TheSixYardBox late reply, but here goes. Yeah, I started with them but soon realized that mixing them gave me weird and inconsistent results. I use some for specific purposes, but really just to not leave them unused. Soaked some color theory lessons from the wife(arts teacher) to brush up my advanced class and bought primary - single pigment colors instead. If you understand basics, there really is no need to buy many paints. But some colors are convenient to have. Get better quality and fewer - will save money in the long run.
I really love your videos. You inspired me to get into Scale 75 and GreenStuffWorld and the cool straw technique. Now I own like 4 complete lines of paint....
@@52Miniatures I already have enjoyed the paints very much. Been trying them out on my Orks. It keeps me from getting into bad habits and pushes me to further evolve my skills.
Wow, so woodworking is another hobby eh? jealous of all your tools and that well stocked workspace :) Your rack is really quite neat. Looks really nice like that.
Amazing as always! I'm the same with the paints, as soon as I enter a store my eyes are attracted to the paint racks and my mind just dreams of the things I could do with them.
Second video i see from you. Very enjoyable, love the way you're explaining -with the little hint of backround history. Thanks a lot, so glad i discovered your channel
Thank Jack. Yeah, I think that is one of the more important things I wanted to put across.. A lot of people (me as well) seem to be a little bit over using the "shame" word when it comes to buying stuff. I understand that a lot of that is "retail therapy" but it could also be that all this stuff is inspiring and maybe should not be thought of as "shameful". As long as it's not totally out of control... :)
Another really lovely video. I have to say that I think you are an insanely good creator. Really: from your calm voice to the beautiful care in the picture. I truly love your videos!
This video was so relaxing to watch. That’s an amazing setup you’ve made for your paint display. Can I ask, what is the black frame you have going around your desk?
Another beautiful video. The last shot with the miniature under different light sources was very nice. But you actually made me sit up at the 4;13 mark. I also have a featherbed Norton :D
Thanks mate! Yeah, it's my dads. He's a bit like me I guess (probably the other way around), all he want's to do is ride his bike but all gets to do is repairing it... He does not have a disorder daemon though, more like the reverse curse.
Since you're also obviously into woodworking as well, have you ever considered a french cleat wall for organization? I used them in my wood shop and recently had the epiphany that I could make a french cleat panel to put on the wall where my hobby desk sits and make a few paint racks for it, among other things.
Very well written and narrated! :D funny how you don't use a colour wheel, but your logo is kind of a colour wheel. :) but very nice advice, thank you for this!
Could you be kind enough to tell me what you used to make your paint rack? Specifically the stand holding the shelves you made? Thank you in advance!! Love your videos!
The peice of wood is just a left over pine kitchen shelf that I was not using. The "stand" is actually a shelf system called "string". So the entire hobby shelf area is a "string" system and then I built the rack to fit into that system. Probably if you google "string bookshelf" or something like that.
@@52Miniatures Thank for answering Elite Consumer's question! I was trying to find this, had no idea it was called a string shelf. Also, love your videos. Just found you from Miniac's recent video about favorite RUclipsrs.
I understand this big time, I have alot of paints and will have some more on the way as well (my first oil paints) But tbh my work area is very small, it has my keyboard on it and my huge screen for gaming but its enough for now, I have a pretty good system for storing stuff boxes in boxes I can easily store away and take out as I need, it works well for myself and how things are atm, but one day I would love to make my own shelf or draw system for easy access at workstation meant just for hobby stuff. Great video bud :-)
Allright, nothing major here, just gonna buy myself a complete woodworking workshop for my underused garage. Also that kiddiepool-sized lampshade. And that nice green paint over there ...
What were your hobbies before mini painting you seem like a multifaceted man with a lot of experience. Forgive me if you've specifically mentioned them before. Quite new to your videos
I dabble a lot with music as well. I run a small recording studio, but that has been locked down the last year. So mini painting sort of has taken over :)
I like how you talk in your videos. Like, it calms and keeps one to listen your story. But one thing is interesting - why you put brush in mouth after you rinse it??? I find it curious 😂
Ah! It's a habbit. But I twist the brush while I do it. Leaving me with a nice and pointy brush. I get the feeling that this helps the brush keep its shape... at least it has a nice point for the next layer :)
Fantastic videos :) Absolutely lovely to have them in the background while painting. Thanks for making them :) It seems like you have a fairly small and compact spray booth. Where did you buy it and is it something you can recommend? I have a fairly small space, so having a solution that is easy to pack away would be good.
The quality of your videos blows me away every time. This is like watching something produced for television, not RUclips.
Have to agree on that.

- A violet red - Crimson Red or Quinacridone Red
- A purpley blue - Ultramarine Blue
- A greeny blue - Cerulean Blue
- An orangey yellow - Cadmium Yellow
- An greeny yellow - Arylide Yellow.
Thanks for this Noj! I appreciate it.
Nice David :)
Your voice overs remind me of the stuff that the School of Life is doing. Top notch! 👌
School of Life with paint spatter all over :)
Dude your videos are absolutely fantastic. Your philosophical takes on the hobby mixed with these studio quality visuals is just *chef's kiss*
Thank you Joshua, I appreciate hearing it :)
That paint rack is fantastic and makes me want to organise my painting area even more than the set of drawers we currently have. One day! Seeing the sticker for Appleby in your workshop made me smile too - I'm from just up the road from and drive past Appleby-in-Westmorland every time we go to visit my family.
Nice Chris, my Dad is from up there :)
@@52Miniatures well that's pretty cool!
I feel your pain. I’ve got far too many paints and no set space to paint so I waste time getting everything out each time I paint.
Aye, I guess narrowing down projects is a nice thing. If one paints a specific thing, all the paints don't have to come forth. But on the other hand... its fun to look at all the paint :)
I remember that Shining Gold.... old skool cool :-)
Yeah :) Most of those paints are still usable. Not bad really.
I love your stories. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Rob, I appreciate it.
So glad I discovered your channel. It's a wealth of great hobby instruction, thoughtfully put together, well-filmed, and so entertaining. You always manage to add some hilarious comments! So much fun to be had at 52Miniatures - you're now my favourite channel! 😉👏
Thanks a lot Terry, I'm glad to hear it!
Nice Jesse :)
It was very nice of Luke to recommend me like that. Glad you liked the videos and welcome to the channel.
Its called 'layout influenced design' meaning a good layout of tools and materials will make your work better because everything that should be easy is easy. A good shop set up is worth 2 assistants.
The beauty with assistants though is that they are the ones doing the set up. While we can drink coffee 😂
Just come across your channel, and must say big kudos. as a fledgling you tuber myself I find your delivery of content very serene and informative. Thanks for producing your content.
Much appreciated! And welcome to the channel
Great video man. It really reminds me how I was started, with a small table, very few bottles of paints, few tools and now I need a whole room 😂
Hah! I've just spread "the room" out in small hidden cupboards all over the apartment 😂
@@52Miniatures hahahaha I feel you, I was like this nearly 8 years!
Keep the videos coming!
Another excellent video! I had a smile thinking about a prior (relevant) discussion we had relating to paint sets/inspiration in another video :D
Cheers!
Yeah! It kind of goes hand in hand I think. Not working so much with recipes... I kind of need the paints in front of me. For inspiration.
Thanks Phil 🙏 Yeah! quite the increase lately. Very happy for it.
I agree with that. I also enjoy how different brands do different things. Is there a point of having 4 different whites? - yes.
I too have over invested in paint and under invested in organization.
Also, if you ever want to post wood working vids I would watch them👍
Thanks J! I do wish I could spend more time in that wood shop :)
I try to... but always run it by the daemon first :)
If I had to recommend one paint set for starting, it would definitely be Vallejo 70.140 Model Color Basic Colors USA set; such an universal collection of paints, you can't really go wrong here.
Nice. I think Vallejo Model colour is a good place to start as well, when it comes to brand of paint.
Your videos are extremely high quality. i've just discovered you today and now I'm binge watching your whole channel. Amazing stuff keep up the great work my dude!!
Thank you Bill, I'm glad to hear it. Welcome to the channel :)
I have literally just started with painting minis, I have cut a cardboard box and turned it into a painting station, but I'm already looking at upgrading and I've only got as far as putting primer on my ork boyz. 😊
It can accelerate rather rapidly... :)
This is so well presented. I love the story of the living clutter growing and evolving, and it's all so very applicable and personal. Maybe it's time to build a paint rack. Thank you for this awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Get better quality and fewer - will save money in the long run.
beautiful
Thank you! 😊
The care you put into making these videos is absolutely amazing. Great content as always!
I appreciate that!
Great stuff friend love watching your journey 👍
Thank you 👍
I really love your videos. You inspired me to get into Scale 75 and GreenStuffWorld and the cool straw technique. Now I own like 4 complete lines of paint....
Thanks for letting me know Jacob. These things tend to happen :) I hope you enjoy the paints.
Thank Tom, it's my dad's workshop. Good thing, otherwise this would probably be a wood craft channel and not a mini channel :)
I was just coming to the realisation I needed to clean up my work space, which is now this evening's task!. Loved the video, as always.
Or just hide stuff out of sight?
This is actually the first video of yours that I watched. It is really well done. Subscribed.
Thank you and welcome to the channel.
Yesss use those hand planes!
Ha ha, nothing beats it :)
I really like the idea of appreciating the more ephemeral aspects. Very nice video; thanks. : )
Amazing as always!
I'm the same with the paints, as soon as I enter a store my eyes are attracted to the paint racks and my mind just dreams of the things I could do with them.
Eye... I pretty much can leave empty handed when it comes to paint...
Watching this is like listening to my own subconscious talk to me.
I wish I discovered your channel sooner. Thank you for your inspiring perspective on the hobby.
Welcome to the channel!
Second video i see from you. Very enjoyable, love the way you're explaining -with the little hint of backround history. Thanks a lot, so glad i discovered your channel
Thanks again Mario, and welcome to the channel.
@@52Miniatures My pleasure
amazing video, love the philosophy inside the reflection.
Thank you A :)
Brilliant video as always :D
I think that's a really interesting point about the paints and tools being worth more beyond their intended utility.
Thank you! 😊
I love the way you do your videos
Thanks S!
This video was so relaxing to watch. That’s an amazing setup you’ve made for your paint display. Can I ask, what is the black frame you have going around your desk?
Thanks! It's the actual desk. Some Swedish "design" going, it called "string" and is like a bookcase type system.
Love the videos! I relate with going to the paint rack first thing in the store too
Another beautiful video.
You have a very relaxing voice, which makes watching your video's very enjoyable. You should narrate books :)
Thanks A :)
„The demon should has his place...“ this is a nice idea :)
Thanks for the beautifull video. So inspiring.
Thanks Clemens. I think finding what ever inspiring way of working is individual... for me.. I still need a bit of a daemon lurking around.
@@52Miniatures sure, i will try, to let my daemon also lurking a bit more around, since i saw your video - maby, more inspiration will come
Love your videos., just found you last week. Keep up the great work! Cheers.
Awesome, thank you!
Great video, as always. Very inspiring too. I watched it and immediately after I wanted to paint something. Anything. Amazing stuff man.
Glad to hear it RK! Thank you :)
You really are the Warhammer hipster ;-) love the relaxed vibe of your videos
Maybe I am huh :) Thanks!
I swear you are putting your videos out based on the stumbling and mishaps that are currently bewildering me at the moment.
Ha ha! I'm glad to hear it's not just me stumbling.
Since you're also obviously into woodworking as well, have you ever considered a french cleat wall for organization? I used them in my wood shop and recently had the epiphany that I could make a french cleat panel to put on the wall where my hobby desk sits and make a few paint racks for it, among other things.
That would probably be a pretty smart thing. With some magnetized areas incorporated.
@@52Miniatures OooooOoo magnets.... now we're talking....
Your videos do inspire me
I'm glad to hear it G! Thanks for letting me know.
Taking a wild guess here, but you must like blue.
Ha ha! why yes... :)
Very well written and narrated! :D funny how you don't use a colour wheel, but your logo is kind of a colour wheel. :) but very nice advice, thank you for this!
Thank you! Yeah, don't trust a logo! 😂
@@52Miniatures Thanks for the reply! Can't wait for your next video :)
Thank you for asking this! I saw the setup and it would be perfect for a small space I have.
@@52Miniatures Thank for answering Elite Consumer's question! I was trying to find this, had no idea it was called a string shelf. Also, love your videos. Just found you from Miniac's recent video about favorite RUclipsrs.
@@ThomasSMcNamara Thanks Tom, that was a very nice thing of Scott to do.
you did notice that the paint holders are already full? I hope you planned for future expansions :)
I know! But I sort of keep what I use most frequently in front of me... other hide aways exist.
As always, your videos are amazing! awesome theme and a incredible work of art in itself.
Thank you very much!
Love your videos.
Thank you!
Thanks Y! I’m very happy about my little space :)
@@52Miniatures it looks brilliant, neat and we'll put together 😁
I generally buy shades that i have found difficult to mix
Yeah, that’s smart.
Awesome video by the way
Thanks!
Ahhh, materials, my favorite topic. Open shopping cart, start video, lets go
Allright, nothing major here, just gonna buy myself a complete woodworking workshop for my underused garage. Also that kiddiepool-sized lampshade. And that nice green paint over there ...
Ha ha! Yeah, we humans are simple to please right?
I just tried banishing the demon in my hobby area this past weekend, and then this video popped up, essentially having the same demon!
It can teleport!
The first 3 minutes is currently me trying to learn this hobby
Welcome to the first minutes :) Hope you stay in the hobby for many more hours.
It’s a Panzag (?)... bought it second hand. It’s very practical but the fan makes a terrible ruckus.
@@52Miniatures Thanks a lot :)
I really love your videos! Much appreciated
Thanks C!
I procrastinate not painting my minis by watching 52. Its a vicious cycle haha.
Hah! I’ll try make them shorter so you can get some painting done :)
