When I first started, I printed “coloring book” pages on my Cricut then colored them in! Worked great. There are also sublimation paint that also works great!
I've learned a lot with this video. So very much to learn. My husband was inspired his self by this video. He wanted me to see if I could go to an actual class and do these projects...lol! I thought of how inspiring he was by watching this video with me. Thank you Jennifer for making these video's. It's helped me so so very much!
Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of information about all the things. I'm new to all of this, trying to make time in my life for a hobby and don't have time to learn by making multiple mistakes. I'm making my way through every single one of your videos. You are the voice I go to when searching for an answer. THANK YOU for the content you are providing!
This was really great! Even though I can't sublimate right now I learned a lot for when I can. The two tips that really help are do not use Teflon sheets when sublimating and only use the blue heat tape for sublimation.
Thank you! I have just found your wonderful Videos. I hate I missed your maker academy event. I am brand NEW with sublimation. Just purchased printer and heat press. Looking forward to creating new items. Thanks I have learned so much from you already.
Jennifer I love you and your videos. I have saved so many to watch later but am just now starting to have time to watch them from beginning to end while taking notes. I learned so much from this video. I have decided that you will be that person whom I will primarily follow for my projects. You videos are so informative and user friendly. I had already subscribed to your channel but just hit the notification bell so I can stay on top of upcoming classes and new projects. Thank you so much!!
I've just been online shopping for the pens, and it looks like they dry out very quickly, before even being used. Have you had this problem, and if not, how did you store them, so they wouldn't dry out? I'm just starting this video, so I will probably have more questions, as I go along. I REALLY appreciate all the things you have taught me, so far.
I love you videos... very helpful... I wish I can start doing sublimation but I don't have a printer and infusible ink... because I am from Grenada so it's difficult to get stuff I must order them but they are very expensive..hope on day I can be bless with a gift... Keep up the videos I will watch your videos until I end with different sublimation printer, and heat press
I can attest to the fact Epson Ecotanks MUST be printed on every 3 days or you end up with clogged heads; then you have to buy a cleaning kit, disassemble you printer, and use a syringe and rubber tubing to meticulously clean each head.
I just made my first shirt, I was so happy with it I did learn about making sure your pattern fit But with your help I think I did pretty good I was so scared to try Infusible ink Much cheaper than printer
Hey Jennifer, Thank you for all your hard work, tips and tricks that you do. I will be having my first craft fair this weekend so I won't be able to attend :( Hopefully I can watch it later. I am bumb that I will miss and won't be able to get a chance at the give away too. Have fun and a great weekend.

Do you recommend sublimation spray for prepping the fabric before transferring and If so at which point do you add it , before or after prepping the fabric?
@beccajune I was going to say the same but I think it may depends on the ink brands. I have 2 sub printers. 1 is perfectly fine when not used for awhile. The 2nd printer I got to try out another company's ink, it clogs up after not using it for a few days.
Hi Jennifer, thank you so much for all the information- lifesaver! But please could I ask - how do I make the colours vibrant/pop? I'm doing this onto a white t-shirt. Thank you 😊 x
The poster board i have is a large trifold. I'm not sure what size laminate comes in but is it possible to put several sheets of laminate on either a poster board or foam board and then sublimate?
Cotton doesn't bond permanently with Sublimation ink. You can sublimate onto certain types of vinyl and then put that onto cotton. I have a tutorial on it here-jennifermaker.com/how-to-sublimate-on-cotton/ 🥰
Hi Jennifer, I was wondering when talking about waste, if your ink is due to expire can you print lots of prints and use them at a later date or must you print and use straight away

Good evening, Jennifer in your tutorial I heard you mention adding polyester to a mug? Ca you add a coating of polyester to your mugs for sublimation?

Sublimation spray is only for sublimating on cotton. You would need to follow the instructions for your specifc spray🥰
Excellent video! Thank you! Do ICC profiles work on printing from all programs?
An ICC printer profile is specific to one certain printer, one type of paper, one inkset and, even, to one print resolution and media setting.
I wish someone would have told me to run a print every couple of days so the print heads don’t dry out and clog. 😡
Good to know.
I've never done this, and mine have not dried out. I've gone months without using my Epson ET-1500. I guess I have been lucky
@beccajune I was going to say the same but I think it may depends on the ink brands. I have 2 sub printers. 1 is perfectly fine when not used for awhile. The 2nd printer I got to try out another company's ink, it clogs up after not using it for a few days.
I literally just went through this in the last two days! It's very frustrating!
What happens? Can you fix it??
Hi Jennifer, thank you for your video. Can I use a sublimation printer for other projects like printing stickers or decals?
You can print on sublimation paper and sublimate it on sublimation sticker paper.
Yesterday at Sam's just purchased Epson ecotank ET 2850 for $199.00 on sale!
Yay! 💗
Can I use untreated unbleached brown butcher paper? Love your videos!
It should be white and unwaxed. You can use kraft paper.

You need either a sublimation printer with sublimation ink or a regular printer that you convert using sublimation ink.🥰
Hi, Jennifer,
Does the EcoTank have support after you convert it to sublimation? Can it have extended warranty? Thank you for your help. It’s taking me awhile to decide on a printer and I want to take advantage of the Black Friday sales.
No, once you convert it to sublimation it looses it's warranty.
