Dear Lathrix,
I was in Aavak's comments and I realized I thought very similarly to many there. What would you say to you and Aavak (and others if you wanted) were to do a multiplayer play through of Avorion but instead of being chums with the "good" factions being buddies with the pirates instead? I thought it could be fun.

Even if you don't attract other ships - you can still place processing plants near other stations so you can buy low, process and sell high. Then set up some AI ships to ferry goods back and forth.
Create a battle station to protect the sector, have a massive array of weapons

Bring back the Sunfish. I really wanna see a school of them terrorize pirates. On a side note, isn't a bit strange that stations don't have any defense turrets of their own? Maybe they could add defense platforms down the line so you can have them guard your stations.

The one thing that I love about this game is the massive verity of items that have no use in the game which makes the game look more cool
I know it's kinda late to post this, but, I got an entire sector with stations and an economy of 10mil/10min give or take. For what I could see on my campaign it's much simplier than what you might think(thought).
I am in an empty sector (well kinda it was the home sector of pirates that I obliterated) and I got 2 mines + 6 stations (basic not production, so Trading post, ShipYard...) and ships do come but for some reason ships don't like docks that are thick, you need to make them really small and not too long, also didn't try yet to make production stations other than mines. Oh and it's not cause you're not in a warpgate sector, as I said i'm in a prime sector and there are no worpgates in prime sectors.
RIP bridge construction episode. I couldn't wait for that. Hope next time :D
i have enjoyed watching this series, just wish my pc was working again to give it a shot myself.

7:50 if you played x3 reunion, you'd be familiar with the concept of stations working all the time, so installing a mod to the game that does just that would be normal as well.

to send ships through warp gates, zoom out into rts mode, select both ships and then send them into the warp gate you want to go

When you finish Avorion, can you do another FTD campaign, perhaps in Glao? Or maybe a tutorial series? Could even do a faction campaign again, if there are any more appropriately fleshed out :D
the damage shown in the turret stats already reduced comparing the equal turret that don't have auto mode. You can see the reduction very clearly on turret craft window.
I wish you could make micro ships in this game to act as heavy fighters/bombers. Would be dope.

You can build stations! OMG that is so cool. I like this game so much. It´s so early but soo good :D

i dont mine anymore. salvaging is so much faster. especially with 16 turrets blazing away. the key to it is targeting the "shiny" blocks on (/inside) the wrecks. also sustains me with credits and standing gain selling the materials... also the occasional modules.
Cannot wait for the release version of this game. If current situation is any indication, we are looking at a better X3: Albion Prelude in the making. It just needs time. And money of course.
If you had fighters, could you tell them to guard your self so maybe they would work better? Since they would auto attack any ships that attack you.
Install the mod that simulates station activity when you are outside of a sector. It's essentially a bugfix.
I'm waiting for the ship upgrade episode I'll love to see that big ship get even bigger with a bridge and extensions

LATHRIX stuff does happen in other sectors when your not there because you can go into RTS mode and tell a ship to go through a warp gate you can go through a warp gate and it will still follow you through..... I don't know if that made any sence but I tried I guess:/
It still doesn't happen in the other zones, the zones do not update nor do ships move in those zones - the ships themselves that are following you have a timer/cooldown on jumps and such and when that is met they move from one zone to the next (If using your innate jump) And timers calculate when they can go through a gate if you are using the warp gates, this is why stations do not generate items when no player is present, and fights you leave will be paused until you return.

Lathriiiiix, don't forget that the Brute needs a proper bridge.
That will come in the video in which the Brute gets a huge upgrade (SOON!!!)

If your looking for a good thing to trade look for Targeting chips.
Very small in size so you can carry about 4 of them for each unit of cargo hold space.
I went from £2mill to £40 mill without leaving the sector.
I bough them for 7k each and sold them for 12k each.
last 4 or 5 trades i did i was selling 1200 for about 15 mill a run,
it cost about 9 mill to buy.. but i had to work my way up to a full load :)
Also a quick Tip i learned for breaking, make your thrusters as thin as you can then stack about 10 on top of it. not sure if thats a bug or if thats how the new system works ?
I haven't really cared for most of the npc designs in the game so far; not saying they're bad just don't want them as part of my fleet. But there have been a few that I will probably use when I start claiming sectors. The most recent one I have come across has the same general style as a Centauri cruiser.
I thought you said you were going to upgrade the ship this episode.

I tried to do the same thing but it didn't work so then I tried it with 4 instead and it worked. So try that.

is it possible to make your own fighters... like bombers with shields
find a pirate military outpost, destroy it, and sell the body armor, I got over 30 million credits from one station =) just saying since you always need cash. Make sure you get rid of the guns before entering in any friendly sectors otherwise they will scan you, and fine you a LOT for each item or hate you if you dont pay.
Isnt it time that you build a totally overpowered gigantic megaship yet??? knowing how you like to build stuff it must be inevitable... a true fighting dreadnought!!!!

You do still earn money/ores if you leave the sector. I left one of my older ships in a naonite rich sector to mine, and kept earning ores after I left it.
That is how it works now, but at the time of recording this video (Early 2017) That wasn't the case, sadly!
