I think that a giant PacMan ate the center of the galaxy and promptly fell asleep. Then the Xotan started worshipping it and walled off the center of the galaxy to protect their idol. The Pacman was so large, however, that his imprint is left on the spacetime continum.
yeap totally with you, don't car if it is just music or talking. just timelaps. and lathrix, when are you going to do some more FtD? I really miss that series
You should go to the Avorion forums and look for "[Mod] Alpha! Carrier commands". It gives you a command to tell your fighters to 'salvage' and they just go to work on everything in the sector, starting with the wreck closest to you. Also, never mess with the Velocity Security Control Bypass. My ship has a max velocity of 1549 m/s. I put an exotic bypass on it and the max velocity was raised to 1.00002e+008 m/s which is 100,002,000 m/s. Yes, you read that correctly, no it is not a typo, my max velocity was over one hundred million meters per second. Within 3 minutes of having this thing installed I lost control and slammed face first into the side of a warp gate, completely destroying my ship. On that note, try to always carry enough resources to rebuild your ship from the save/load function. You still lose all your crew (I had a crew of ~600 specialists) and fighters (I lost about 60, including some exotic and exceptional ones), but at least you're not stuck in the drone. Oh man that was painful.
In the full release each artifact has a different ability. Such as the exodus one gives you access to an ancient gate network allowing you to travel great distances for free. The AI one basically improves everything on your ship. Mr Pirate boss will add 10 guns. I still say you should revisit game and play the 2.0 version, the fighters work better and don't need to be babysat and you can give your other ships jobs to do without you needing to be in the same sector as them. Also, the new Black Market DLC sounds like something you might enjoy. 😁
If you're gonna have a problem with collisions in the future, you should probably make a new version of the ship with a "shell" of cheap, disposable armor sections on the exterior, maybe? Iron/Titanium armor blocks with some integrity field generators, since these artifacts are a great energy savings. Just an idea.
Small tip: when arriving in the Survivors Sector mine all their ships/wrecks, there should be a million or more of Xanion to be grabbed (just make sure you have at least Trinium Salvaging Lasers), and it doesn't do anything bad to your standings to other factions and furthermore: no pirates or Xsotan will show up while you're at it.
Lath, I recommend you to replace all the "outdated" resource parts out of your ship and make your entire ship of just one material, for example make your entire ship of trinium but with weaponry mounts made of xanion or of xanion with ogonite weaponry mounts, this is to make more easy the repairs because you will exactly know of what material is the missing part Also use the force field generators to make external parts not break at the minimum contact with an asteroid or wreckage, you can change block scale to the minimum and add them like little bolts attached to your ship, or hide them and also will cost almost nothing but having it at its minimum size it will only affect the attached block, so you will have to put a lot arround , this will be much much more efficient for repairs because if you not lose any parts, you will likely not have to waste money and resources to repair and just let the mechanics do their work
this is what id love lathrix to say as a intro "hello, sir and sirets! and welcome back to avorion and into days episode we will be getting some AVORION!" for some reason id pay 5$ to hear that
When it comes to building in games that revolve around, well, building, I tend to prefer watching a timelapse over a cut and recap. I understand this requires more work for a same-length episode, but it just feels nicer to watch.
That joyful shout "This is a living scrapheap. *A moment of realization* I am home!" really made this video. You are a scavenger/hoarder through and through aren't ye Lathland. XD
Time-lapse with music and/or you discussing events would be cool but the current format is fine too. Either way I enjoy your videos and this series in particular
Perhaps you should install a titanium cowcatcher and shin guards on your ship? Something thin you can cheaply build more of in the field (using whatever local resource is plentiful) after you bump things. When waiting to jump, just watch for the purple bar at the top to fill and glow instead of trying to count down. For science!, what happens if you swap in a fast charge module between jumps and then switch back to the longjump after it is charged?
"I'm willing to bet my left, uh.... h-hair on my nose" Shouldn't buzz the tower Lathrix, you almost pulled up too late to get out of that naughty witticism.
it makes a lot of sense that operation exodus takes you to the very edges of the map exodus means to leave an area, so story-wise, operation exodus is a plan to leave the galaxy, probably due to all the rifts edit: didn't finish the video, it actually explains itself after when i had posted this comment
pac man was created by the "event" he scours the galaxy looking for harmless rifts to eat and then vomit out and when the rifts are vomited out they fly out of the galaxy and create other "events" in another galaxy there for creating more pac mans! but if he misses the vomited rift just blows or evaporates anything it touches including entire solar systems! lathrix if you read this please comment so, cause id like to know that you read it :)
"A: You're vomiting the space rift, B: You're eating the space rift, or C: You vomited the space rift, but there's still a bit of sweet corn in there, so you're eating it again."
5:00 pm: well, if I skip dinner I can watch a few more episodes 7:30 pm: eh, I have time for a few more 9:30 pm: just one more 11:40 pm: well there's only 7 minuets left in this episode 1:10 am: hmm, if I finish this I can get 7 hours of sleep 8:00 am: wait, is that my alarm clock? that's lathrix in a nutshell
Please use the time lapse when you are building. I enjoyed them very much in your From the Depths series. If possible, please include the voice over, I liked hearing your thoughts while you processed your ideas, they added so much to the build.
Yes for the timelapse with trance music rather than the ones you used in ftd, but not having it take off time from the total video length (so just have it add and not substitute)
that laugh at the end.... sounds like batmans arch nemesis has returned. also i wonder what lath thought to himself when realising he has to now jump ALL THE WAY BACK lol
i loved your FTD time lapses, so i'd like an Avorion time lapse. those impassible rifts are the bane of my existence, trying to fly around long distance, it will get in your way edit: operation exodus was exhausting to deal with. i could jump 23 sectors and it still took forever.
LAthrix Here is a thought, getting a missile or two and setting them to autofire so that you can you can launch swarms of homing missiles upon your enemies while your main cannons fire upon the enemy you choose.
Timelapses are a scary territory. They are either too slow to be interesting, and eats up unecessary time, or too fast to even catch any details of what's going on. I'd prefer a sort of slideshow of a few seconds here and there with the interesting parts, say things taking shape, adding certain stuff and what not. Probably an editors nightmare, but it would be probably the only way some of us would enjoy a building session. You can't please them all though, and it is your channel, your choice! I'll watch anyhow
id love the time lapse. I think it's better cuz we get to see what parts u put in/take out :) also, when r u going to add more parts to the carrier? id like to see it rly huge in the future with like 15-20 hanger and stuff. then it be an army of fighters !!!
You should do whatever you feel like, i dont mind a mix of all the options, sometimes cuts are good to get to the point quickly, but time lapses are great for additional comments on the build and general off-topics, so yeah, love the series, keep it up =) also you should build more thats like the best part imo, make the ship massive with wings, thrusters and a command bridge stickings out or smth, or maybe even make a new one =)
You could do a bit of both? Talk about the building you're doing if it's something interesting, then timelapse up until the next part, then timelapse until the next part, so on so forth. It's a good way to include both the building you're famous for without posting an hour long video of only building for those who prefer testing/combat.
I like the timelapse idea :) Also Lath, we really don't mind if you stumble on a word here and there. We know that behind the cryptic name there is a flesh and blood human being like the rest of us, and we're far from perfect :)
Pac-Man has eaten too many ghosts, and decided that he is just going to regurgitate their clear insides into the galaxy that Avorion is set in. All of the ghosts that he ate had some sort of life in them, which brought in the Xsoltan along with the clear stuff and is the reason why all of this stuff is happening.
Lathric, I would very much enjoy timelapses, backed by music from Paul Ruskay, the composer behind the music for Strike Suit Zero and Homeworld- two games that fit the theme of Avorion to a T.
@lathland Yes... I did it without a hyperspace upgrade..... i only found out i had one when i was on the last beacon... I also did it straight after episode 9 lol
If you want to do some time lapses do time lapses. The Pirate Boss is apparently found by being far enough from the core (i think around where titanium starts showing up is good) and jumping into empty sectors. The more you jump from empty sector to empty sector the more likely the boss is to show up.
LATHLAND YOU NEED TO TIME LAPSE!! and timelapse for salvaging and mining too maybe.
nice name :)
Always :D
dangit, that is where you are meant to say aye sir!
ehhhh, not really in the mood today. If i tried it would sound all sad and nasal. I'm suuuuper sick rn. maybe later.
Hai!
I think that a giant PacMan ate the center of the galaxy and promptly fell asleep. Then the Xotan started worshipping it and walled off the center of the galaxy to protect their idol. The Pacman was so large, however, that his imprint is left on the spacetime continum.
Time to sleep:
"Greetings sirs and sirettes"
Welp, nevermind! I guess i'm not getting much sleep today!
stelios stamatis Same! I love that
Who needs *yawn* sleep?
Blabatron haha
stelios stamatis I'm the same
You copied a comment from episode 9 :P
you shuld do timelapses with you talking about something
/\
l
is that right?
awsome series btw
and pizza slice at 14:23
Im with you
TheRoof JumpingDevil agreed
yeap totally with you, don't car if it is just music or talking. just timelaps. and lathrix, when are you going to do some more FtD? I really miss that series
lel nope cuz (C)
I want lathrix to build a ship so big it dwarfs stations.
10 hour time lapse?
i want him to build a ship so big, his current ship would count as a fighter when in the hangar of it :P
Smerlin it takes a 67 hour time lapse video that had him working weeks turns out to be small than all other ships
Money.
You could make a ship as large as you want, you just need enough memory, which is something love about this game.
Pacman caused the cosmic event and became a cosmic being leving. behind his avorion blood
lol..
That's kind of dark... I love it!
You should go to the Avorion forums and look for "[Mod] Alpha! Carrier commands". It gives you a command to tell your fighters to 'salvage' and they just go to work on everything in the sector, starting with the wreck closest to you.

this is why im doing backups every hour... im a carebear :-D
The creator of Pacman haunts this game 😂😂😂😂
Lathrix going insane 😂😂😂
Time laps, with pauses for you to talk when you run into a problem or have a really cool idea/change your mind.
but then he would pause every 5 minutes
Yes.
Worth it!
"More loot than borderlands" that's a bold statement.
good job on the videos Lath! I love the building/fighting of it! Keep the series alive! and I agree with the time-lapse that would be awesome.
In the full release each artifact has a different ability. Such as the exodus one gives you access to an ancient gate network allowing you to travel great distances for free. The AI one basically improves everything on your ship. Mr Pirate boss will add 10 guns.

Yes I would very much love a time lapse of you wonderful builds lathrix. Keep up the good work!
Yes, timelapses with music would be awesome!

Ship building time lapses are fun to watch. I'm good with or without music/your surprisingly soothing voice.
I had just finished the 9th episode a couple of minutes ago, and now you've uploaded the 10th
*just* *yessss*
Small tip: when arriving in the Survivors Sector mine all their ships/wrecks, there should be a million or more of Xanion to be grabbed (just make sure you have at least Trinium Salvaging Lasers), and it doesn't do anything bad to your standings to other factions and furthermore: no pirates or Xsotan will show up while you're at it.

for some reason id pay 5$ to hear that
WHERE IS THE AAVAK/LATHRIX COLLAB OF THIS AWESOME GAME?
Good Idea
I'd like that as well.........
im not sure that this is multiplayer, but that may be good
i was thinking a lathrix/enterelisium collab though :P
stuChris or all 3!!!
Just to confirm for you, it is multiplayer. I've both hosted and joined servers for Avorion.
XD
wow i just finished the other one and seen this one. Perfect timing!
connor martin-king same I love the upload rate but I'll love it more if it was morning then night
"We are fighting a living trash heap.. I'M HOME! :D" Only Lathrix has this kind of charm.
Very nice you been busy this episode :)
Kane Hart - Let's Plays Hello Happy new year :D
Im Daniel - Norsk Gaming whaaat?
xD
He is using Internet Explorer.
Time-lapse with music and/or you discussing events would be cool but the current format is fine too. Either way I enjoy your videos and this series in particular

what about a episode of buiding the ship and no speed up just the raw process, i love to see those, its my favourite part in building able games
14:50
fourth answer : waka waka waka waka
Best weapons:
-Homing Missiles
-Drones
Let the dakka fly
"I'm willing to bet my left, uh.... h-hair on my nose"
Shouldn't buzz the tower Lathrix, you almost pulled up too late to get out of that naughty witticism.
Mr. Lathrix, you avorion video output for today is dangerously awesome. Please, let us rest.
it makes a lot of sense that operation exodus takes you to the very edges of the map
exodus means to leave an area, so story-wise, operation exodus is a plan to leave the galaxy, probably due to all the rifts
edit: didn't finish the video, it actually explains itself after when i had posted this comment
You are awesome and commented timelapses with funny music will only add to this channel :-)
Thanks for your time and work!
pac man was created by the "event" he scours the galaxy looking for harmless rifts to eat and then vomit out and when the rifts are vomited out they fly out of the galaxy and create other "events" in another galaxy there for creating more pac mans!
but if he misses the vomited rift just blows or evaporates anything it touches including entire solar systems!

"A: You're vomiting the space rift, B: You're eating the space rift, or C: You vomited the space rift, but there's still a bit of sweet corn in there, so you're eating it again."
I really liked the building timelapses in From the Depths. I would love a couple in Avorion :D
YES TIMELAPS YOU HAVE THE BEST MUSIC
I wish that he does this game in a series again
I like the current format. Keep up the great work!
I believe having a building timelapse would definitely be fun to watch!
Yes, like Vandel does with some music in the background and all that fun stuff
5:00 pm: well, if I skip dinner I can watch a few more episodes
7:30 pm: eh, I have time for a few more
9:30 pm: just one more
11:40 pm: well there's only 7 minuets left in this episode
1:10 am: hmm, if I finish this I can get 7 hours of sleep
8:00 am: wait, is that my alarm clock?
that's lathrix in a nutshell
perfect timing lathrix just finished the last one
2 EPISODES IN 1 DAY. YOU ARE MY 1 TRUE LOVE LATHRIX!!!
Lathland actually sounded like he was going to break down crying at the end xD
Please use the time lapse when you are building. I enjoyed them very much in your From the Depths series. If possible, please include the voice over, I liked hearing your thoughts while you processed your ideas, they added so much to the build.
Yes! A youtuber that actively remembers Borderlands! +55 rep for you!
I think that the devs wanted to pay tribute to PAC-MAN so they put him in everywhere
Yes for the timelapse with trance music rather than the ones you used in ftd, but not having it take off time from the total video length (so just have it add and not substitute)
is it just me or did george at 17 :57 drop a legendary item?
That was just a paint colour drop - Items will always have the spirals around them as they spin :)
I thought you said, "swirly thingy" in your comment, lath. And I was thinking that it was a legendary drop too.
I would love time lapses with general explanations of what you're doing as you build.
Also, kind of wanna see a Lathland Playthrough of Borderlands :P
It'd also be really cool in your From the Depths series to have the time lapse building.
time-laps with music good
YES TIMELAPSES! :D
WITH AWESOME MUSIC
AND YOU TALKING
YES!
Lathrix logic: "i'm starting to lose it!
Time for alcohol!"
"Hahaha, ohhh i need some alcohol" -Lathland of the Lathrixian Legion
Wow that didnt take very long !
Just in time to keep me from going to sleep for another half an hour ;D
that laugh at the end.... sounds like batmans arch nemesis has returned. also i wonder what lath thought to himself when realising he has to now jump ALL THE WAY BACK lol
I like the idea of time laps with music
in regards to the time lapse i like how you do it already. in fact wathching you build is fun
sweeping sci-fi soundscape musical timelapses !
i like the timelapse idea. PLEASE BUILD A HUGE BORG CUBE OUT OF TONNES OF TITANIUM AND IRON
MORE of this. building in time lapse would be good, however, I would suggest to still show important in between steps
i loved your FTD time lapses, so i'd like an Avorion time lapse.
those impassible rifts are the bane of my existence, trying to fly around long distance, it will get in your way
edit: operation exodus was exhausting to deal with. i could jump 23 sectors and it still took forever.
Comments amount:404; Comments not loading. Error 404 = not loading page. Illuminati is a triangle. Coincidence? Probably. 😋
LAthrix Here is a thought, getting a missile or two and setting them to autofire so that you can you can launch swarms of homing missiles upon your enemies while your main cannons fire upon the enemy you choose.
I like you building (no time lapse ) + your humour is so funny
Yaaas. Another Episode!

You can do what ever you want our friend lathrix
Lathrix wheres teratech im enjoying this series im just wondering if terratech is ended or your just taking a break
I like how Lathrix goes barmy at the end. XD
conspiracy: the jerboa master race wants revenge from that one time you needed 1 more hide... we don't talk about that.
2 Episodes in a row????
The blood god has truly blessed us...
HAIL KORN FLAKES
I'm loving this series. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. However, if you do decide to do timelapses, I'd definitely much prefer it with commentary.
best episode yet
I get so happy seeing u happy :D
YESS add timelaps's
"Space itself is conspiring against me" lathrix 2017
You should do whatever you feel like, i dont mind a mix of all the options, sometimes cuts are good to get to the point quickly, but time lapses are great for additional comments on the build and general off-topics, so yeah, love the series, keep it up =) also you should build more thats like the best part imo, make the ship massive with wings, thrusters and a command bridge stickings out or smth, or maybe even make a new one =)
OH YES! Was just about to go to bed, awesome!
voice-over timelapses would be nice, you could explain why you built a ship like you did, and/or update on other subjects
I love the current format
speaking drones do you like the barracuda from FTD? (from the depths)
Yes! voice over the timelapses talking about your build
wow just done watching the last episode and this one came out! :) Yay for Lathrix!
Timelapses with music would be awesome, Lathland! Do it:} 100% approved!
How many things does it have? All the things. ALL. THE. THINGS.
that blooper xD couldent figure out if you were crying or laughing...or both XD
You could do a bit of both? Talk about the building you're doing if it's something interesting, then timelapse up until the next part, then timelapse until the next part, so on so forth. All of the ghosts that he ate had some sort of life in them, which brought in the Xsoltan along with the clear stuff and is the reason why all of this stuff is happening.
your ship is starting to lock like something off of gundum.
I would really like a timelaps of building, just because i have no idea what i should defend the most in my ship and then where to put it^^
Drones are love. Drones are life.
yes! timelapses would be glorious!
If you want to do some time lapses do time lapses. The Pirate Boss is apparently found by being far enough from the core (i think around where titanium starts showing up is good) and jumping into empty sectors. The more you jump from empty sector to empty sector the more likely the boss is to show up.
First encounter with the A.I. where I and my friend were in co-op.. The darn A.I. boss gave us a very hard time haha. So different to this
