As someone who started his professional career doing Flash programming (in 2005) I really love this cartoon. I miss Flash. It was great. Flash was so incredibly powerful and flexible and capable compared to the DOM back then. Took *years* for web standards to catch up. It was the single biggest driver of progress on the web for over a decade. Can you imagine a web without any kind of vector rendering, video capabilities or custom font rendering today?

I remember watching the original Decemberween when I was a kid and freaking out when Homestar sang “I got Strongbaaaad a Deep Impact.” I thought that one reference was it, which was MORE than enough to make me happy. I actually checked. Deep Impact came out on May 8th, 2008. Armageddon came out less than two months later. Holy crap, they did come out so close to each other!

I’ve been using that Land of 10,000 Nopes thing for years now. So much that I’d forgotten I got it from here. So when I can to rewatch, and Strong Bad said it, the lightbulb went off.
For anyone still confused, here's What this toon likely means, with quotes and what they imply: - "This plugin is vulnerable and should be updated" Flash is old news and isn't safe or efficient to make content with anymore. - "Flash is dying!" Obvious statement is obvious, refer to the first tick on this list. The internet as a whole is moving away with Flash and the creators of Homestar Runner know they need to get with the times. - "I've got enough classic motion tweens and depricated actions in old F-sack here to last us..." Assuming this isn't just cartoon silliness-- this means that they have toons either fully animated or near completion, and they hope to shoot some of these out onto the internet for people to watch while they learn enough about HTML 5 to make the switch from Flash. - "... at least six months until we can learn HTML 5." Learning a new set of tools to make cartoons is gonna take the creators (Matt and Mike) a while to learn, but if the above "F-Sack" (which might be thinly veiled code for "Flash sack") means what I think it does, they're gearing up to try to produce more than they have in a while. If anyone thinks I'm perhaps mistaken or a bit off in any way, be sure to let me know. This is merely one man's interpretation.
Darrark As I'm sure you're aware, new version of various browsers are either disabling flash by default or locking it out permanently. That's why Flash is dying. Theoretically they could just transform whatever flash animation they come up with into a video.
