Great reaction as always guys, you're slaying it with todays reactions! A couple of other great crossover tracks are "Judgement night" & "Slam" by Onyx ft. Biohazard. Greetings from the UK.
This was from MTV Collision Course album of Jay-Z/Linkin Park. They took a bunch of their songs, that fit seemingly perfectly, into one album. The reason this isn't in a stadium, where both these artists sell out, is because it was recorded in a place they used for MTV studios.
Small Club gigs for Rock and Metal are the best ones, There is something about a 100-400 capacity venue, packed out just going off, low ceiling quite dark, thats Metal and Rock at it's purest direct and engaging form. More intimate than a stadium. I also really like Hip Hop , DnB , DubStep and Grime shows of a similar size, they all benefit from that small dark club vibe. The energy in these kinds of places can be in a way more overwhelming than a stadium/Festival with 1k plus it becomes a scale thing and less direct for the fans and performers. The best shows I have ever been to have been underground Rock, Metal and Punk shows between 70 and 400 capacity venues. If we are talking energy they beat any other type of live show for energy. Best show I ever played was about 200-300 capacity in Glasgow UK at a place called the Cat House (circa 01 not sure if its still there) but what a venue, what a crowd, what a sound (out front and on stage) and their in house crew was the most professional I had ever worked with. Low ceiling. 2 guitars either side of bass drums and vox so I was on one side and the sides were kind of caged so it felt a bit like that scene from the Blues Brothers lmao
totally agree on the venue size! i'm still new to shows, currently 24 and trying to attend more, but so far, small punk shows have been the best vibe yet. Pure energy, just singing along to every word and jamming out with the band. I definitely prefer those intimate venues for that same reason. Whether it's rock or electronic
