Scott County officials concerned as Minnesota River rises

The rising Minnesota River is causing headaches for people who live, work and play in Scott County. Water is pouring over its banks onto streets and playgrounds. It's also threatening some homes and businesses. The area between Savage and down towards Shakopee has officials concerned and taking precautions. WCCO's Reg Chapman has the latest.

They let us out of class at St Louis Park High School in 1965 if we would go down there and help sandbag the river. Didn't have to ask me twice... a day sandbagging is better than sitting in class. A bunch of us guys loaded up the cars and headed on down to Savage.
