I printed the epic ultra for the rg351p using an ender 5 and can attest it is indeed epic. It came out perfect on the first attempt. I was worried it might scratch the plastic without adding any felt but it fits perfectly. I have it on 90% of the time and it feels great for long gaming sessions. I only remove it in situations where portability and pocketability is my priority. The ergonomics, size and light weight give it the best handheld feel of any portable gaming device I've ever owned. I like how the sound comes through clearly - I didn't notice any difference. Kudos to the designer Lupus for such an awesome design!
I use the RG351P H Brick for my RG351P and Retroid Pocket 2. They work great. Yes, I have a 3D printer (Qidi Max). I will tried print the Epic later. Thanks for the review.
Your videos and website are great. Amazingly simple, well-spoken/written, and well researched. An obviously large amount of time and thought has been put in. I'm guessing this is a full-time job for you. ;) Bought the 350M because of you and I'm loving it. Thanks!
You have NO IDEA how much I've been wanting grips like these. I actually emailed Anbernic and told them the only reason I would not give the RG350 original a 10/10 when I bought it was because of the awkward lack of grips so it makes my ring and pinky fingers feel strained at times.
These seem really great for playing Fighting games like Street Fighter for example so you can have better grip on the shoulder buttons. Seems like something that must also be available online for purchase if you don't own a 3D printer.
@@tradeka4206Not very cheap but looks like quality according to reviews. Thanx for sharing. Edit: with shippong it gets to expensive. 44 euro that's a bit too much.
Yes great vid can't wait to win 😁👍🏾I've got some Nintendo switch grips for mine and for my rg351p and cut a joycon grip in half and glued it on the back and it feels magical.... cheers George here from Australia 👍🏾
Ok so I tried to print his rg351p with an online service named craft cloud. Sadly they told me the schematic has some errors and can't be printed. I tried another service online but they charged 100 bucks for the print and shipping. It was a dissapointment, so I looked elsewhere and I found this : www.amazon.ca/dp/B07ZHZKBYR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share . It fit well but is not a snug fit. To fix it just use some rubber tape it then fit the rg351p like a glove. Edit : Here is the end result of this 10 buck switch grip imgur.com/gallery/IG9ZsAT
I love them. I had a Switch Lite for like half a year and hated the form factor and always thought i would love to have a simple console that is basically a XBOX controller. I don't understand why people think a simple rectangle is a good idea. I find it so uncomfy. If a win the giveaway i consider buying a 351P ;)
That would be great, I asked him about it and he said that shipping them from his country would cost nearly the same amount as someone just paying an online print shop to make them.
It's still worth going for the RG351P? They just launched the RG351V, could this mean they would release a hardware update (a sucessor to the RK3326 with 1GB RAM) in the next few months? To be honest I like the screen of the RG351P. Even with less resolution, it can achieve a closer look to how the 16-bit games were programmed and do less stress on the hardware.
I have no doubt there will be some sort of new device between September and November. It just seems like that's a given every year now. If you're happy with everything the 351 can do, go for it! If you're wanting a device that can do a better job emulating PSP, DS, N64, Dreamcast and maybe Sega Saturn too, you should wait.
Well i can confirm that unmodified, the ultra grip does not fit the 351m. After some minor tinkering, I got it to work. Will share the updated specs with Lupus Worax Custom.
I don't notice a big sound improvement besides its directed more towards you. The chambers do give it a richer feel, but don't expect giant improvements.
I reached out to the winners via email, two have yet to respond. If they don't respond in the next 24 hours I will have to pick new winners. Once I have everyone confirmed I will make the announcement!
Nice video. I don't own any RG350s but am interested in the grip market for devices like the Powkiddy V90, Pocketgo1, Pocketgo S30, and Retroid Pocket 2. It would be cool if you could review grips for these devices too.
@@RetroGameCorps Welp, it'll be amazing if I get lucky and win the contest I entered for one of the grips. I wish handheld manufacturers would design their devices with the comfortable ergonomics of an Xbox 360/One controller FROM THE START so we wouldn't have to buy separate grips all the time, really annoys me. For me great responsive controls and comfortable ergonomics are a priority over small form factor pocket-ability/portability.
Why? So you can't put those in your pockets anymore. Just print a grip for when you need it, it's 68 grams of PLA with supports, 1.24 euro, 8 hours print

I wish they sold these at a reasonable price. Everyone selling is asking at least 30 but often times more like 50 that's too much imo. It's just a piece of plastic lol I would be interested in getting one around the 20 buck range.

That's a nice solution!

Between the H brick and the Knuckles which would be better for someone with bigger hands?
I would say the H Brick is better for bigger hands.
Maybe I'll be buying this device after all :)
Does the grip of the rg351p work on the rg351m?
Unfortunately it doesn't fit, the RG351M is a tad too thick.
you think you could make a 3D printed grip for the PiBoy DMG ??
Are these available to buy would really like to try one as they seem they would make my 351m more comfortable to hold
Unfortunately there isn't a shop that sells them, but you can grab the designs and find online printers to do the work for you.
I bought some off of Etsy and it was slightly too small. It ended up popping the screen out of the case so I no longer use them
Oh, sorry to hear that.
