I had this on casette, took ages to load. Also I was always triggered how the box art shows Apache shooting a whole cartridge, bullet and the shell. Takes me back.
I spent hours, if not days, on this game and Project Stealth Fighter back in the day. Only ever had a datasette so everything took forever and a half to load 😂 Thank the Gods for modern gadgets like the U1541II+. Must say I sometimes miss the tape loading music, so if I play Last Ninja it's always from tape files
Project Stealth Fighter was another favourite :) Trying to land a damaged craft, during the night, with graphics as they were was an experience :P However slow it was, there was something about tape loading that can never be replaced; certain games I'd never play from tape, mind :)
Considering covering that title this week, actually. Never had any issues with that game, personally, though. EDIT: I know that answer didn't help, sorry - without knowing more, it's hard for me to suggest any potential solutions :)
I had the Tandy 1000HX version in 1987 or 88 (I think?!) Played it for hours after work, drove my wife nuts!

Much as I liked this game, I would never play it from tape :P
I remember when graphics like this seemed realistic
I remember playing this game.
Me, too. It was great.

Heck, I had totally forgotten about this game.
I've tried everything to get the sequel (gunship 2000) to work and it always crashes

I played the crap out of that game on my old 486. Loved it.
Gunship 2000 what a legendary game. It’s like the Lucasarts BOB.
@@artnull13 Covered the Amiga version of that game :) ruclips.net/video/oRYi3Lc4XIk/видео.html
