Welcome back to more Sonic Project 06! Today I am bringing you a Sonic Any% commentated speedrun on the new 1.3 version of the patch.
in P-06, Sonic has more moves than ever, and it's cool to see almost all of them utilized in unique ways accross his story. From the antigrav slide all the way to Super Sonic, the blue blur has never felt better in these stages.

Even though I've seen like 8 of these between older videos and some live recordings, I always enjoy listening to new ones. It's therapeutic in some weird kinda way.
Is this the Silver Patch, because I'm curious how the route changes with the new update
Yes, this is the most current version of the game
Even if i don't do speedruns i loved the video, hope to see one like this with Shadow and Silver
Somewhat Sonic-related, have you ever played Spark the Electric Jester 3? The developer (LakeFeperd) used to make Sonic fan projects before he went on to make Spark.

Have you considered doing a Gem-less run? They're super cool and this is really impressive, but I'd love to see you do a more "pure" run, as the Gems, even with a working Action Guage, are just way too OP imo
Also yes I'm bad at using them quickly and jealous at how you were able to git gud lol
It would also be rad to see one of those controller input tracker things on screen if you can get one set up
Yes, I’ve done many gemless runs, had the world record last update for it. They’re cool, but the gems are my favorite power ups in the series, so any% is my jam.
On my normal setup I have a controller display, for this commentated run I wanted it to be as “simple” as possible for newcomers to the game.
I wish my computer was strong enough to both run and download the game.
I'm in the same situation. I've been following the project since the beginning but it's beginning to get frustrating because I can't get my hands on it.
try it. there's plenty of video settings so worst comes to worst you need to play on lower graphical settings, but considering chaosX's old computer... yeah no it's optimised

I considered Heroes Adventure 3 and as I consider so, then 06 is Adventure 4.
Wait this made me think, how the HELL is eggman still alive? he's been stranded alone in space many times, he's been trapped in the literal void between space and time, and more. there aint no way a normal human can escape from the void between space and time with literally nothing regardless of IQ. eggman is absolutely cracked.
I mean, he does die in this game.
He's also as fast as Sonic. He's anything but a normal human.

1:06 One more thing you missed about the Rainbow Gem, even if you hacked it in and Sonic did the animation, the game would instantly crash. The animation was also unfinished too and just had him T-Posing
Oh, Cool! Since this was a commentary focused on a speedrun, I tried to trim the fat on some topics and keep the most interesting stuff between discussing game mechanics
This is blatantly untrue lmao. The animation isn't even unused, you see it during the Solaris fight.
ah thanks for the correction. In my mind I was thinking soley in terms of the rainbow gem.
@stelmo98 on my version of p06 I don’t get that rainbow ring for crisis city when transitioning after the rails. Any reason to this?
Man, I wish Sega would work with ChaosX to remake 06.

(Replying to prior comment) I'll probably wait for at least a $40 Black Friday or Xmas sale, but at that price is Superstars worth it if I'm looking for some more solid 2D Sonic, no more no less? Did you personally enjoy it?
(I already own 2/3K/Mania BTW...all lotsa fun to play and replay! I favor Mania over 2 but only cause there's more levels, the reused ones are often quite creatively reinvented which typically makes them feel at least half-new. And it does not have Metropolis Zone!)
Side note I'd recommend Triple Trouble 16 Bit for 2D - a fairly short but amazing fangame.

I’ve been having a hard time trying to play sonic 06 bc whenever I extract and try and open sonic the hedgehog exe it always says system error. Any advice on what to do?
Oh? Did the white acropolis homing attack skip get patched out of the game? I didn't see u using it and I'd find it hard to believe u just would stop using it while it still works
