3/14/15. Red Bank to Secaucus Junction. ALP-45DP 4520 shoving. I was incredibly lucky to catch 6004 again, as her K5LA is one of the few on Comet Vs that actually sound really nice (like a P42DC). Can you find the PL42AC triple header equipment move? Enjoy the ride and the wonderful engineer =)

I grew up in Red Bank and commuted to NYC from 1976 to 1978. At that time the train had to change engines at South Amboy. It appears to be a nicer, smoother ride now.

Alstom made the comet 5 but they definitely could’ve, in fact they were mentioning how the original comet 1’s were the first modern coaches at the time that were not EMU’s. And I’d say there’s more than enough room for traction motors and everything for them to become EMU’s, although that’ll probably never happen.
