The Swift is a monster. I shot myself straight in the hand with one just to see how hard it shot. I almost bruised my hand lol. I have no idea what spring was in it, but it was STRONK!
We played a game wherein someone was using one, and i was getting tagged at the opposite end of the field from it. I dont know the distance on our play field, but it was pretty busted.
In short, this blaster is crazy OP and likely breaks every fps cap by far. If you are using this blaster against people closer than long sniper range, youre not a nice person!
Honestly as someone who has played both Airsoft and Nerf (mostly nerf) I'm stupid hype for this level of performance being more readily available.
Ive had my swift for about a month, shot about 2000 darts through it, I love it, its great. I personally use the 1.6 with the medium barrel, and I get 240FPS consistently.
Yes, the spring retainer does wiggle loose, especially with the heavy springs when firing fast
Teflon tape stops the retainer cap from backing out, I also added about 0.2" of half inch CPVC inside the cap to prevent it from bing damaged by the harder steel spring as mine was pretty heavily scarred after a couple hundred shots, same with the back of the plunger.
Hadn't seen the brass spring silencer before, perhaps for the larger diameter springs you could try the next size up of brass.
You can try 19/32. They would probably fit in it. The question would be whether or not it would fit in the blaster. I think I have some...I should check.
The spring silencer would be good for HvZ. You would have an even more stealthy blaster for stealth missions.
Although this blaster hits too hard for HvZ…
@@AudieS23 stock spring and barrel hits not that hard for hvz
it's okay
@@암-j9u u sure?
@@AudieS23 It doesn't hit over 150s and not that painful to target people
I've gotten my Swift *very* close to 400 FPS with the 1.8 spring (specifically 394 FPS, firing Dart Zone Max Pro darts), but as you've noted, that prime is... well it's a heck of a thing. The 1.6 spring by comparison is so easy to prime that I didn't consciously recognize it taking much/any effort until I switched to the lighter springs during testing (having jumped right to that initially), and that's hitting northward of 300 FPS with my seals (capping out somewhere in the 330s), so that's how I plan to actually use mine most of the time.
Incidentally I don't think you were "supposed" to put all 4 green o-rings onto the plunger, so much as switch one set for another (and change up the pusher o-ring, that does actually make a difference), as following the guidelines that BlasterTech used to have on their Swift listing (as researched by Bradley Phillips) is what got me to the whole "minute+ thumb test" air seal I have. I'd never actually considered that you could get 2 extra o-rings on that middle section.
I agree, I don't think that is the design...but it sure works well.
I wrapped 2 thickness of yellow Teflon tape in my 2 ‘normal’ plunger slots fir the o rings, greased em, and whoa! Huge improvement.. I’d recommend that over the greater friction of 4 orings- I also ditched the small oring on the… dart gate bit… 🤷🏼♂️😆 and wrapped a liberal amount of gas-rated yellow tape instead… IMMACULATE seal, and boost performance again 👍🏻 (coz I broke both my little orings 😂🤭)
394 FPS = 7,2 Joules
insane
Dude I can't stop watching these! Your passion and enjoyment shine through every video! Keep it up man, you're doing great
8:09 the numbers on the spring refer to (I believe) the thickness of the metal used to make the spring coils, in mm.
I can’t wait to see this paired with a pair of matching orange/black Phoenix 2.0’s that would be a cool looking loadout. Especially with your Orange Molle vest
I would like a pair of those...but I have other plans for sidearms...
@@CaptainXavier PewPew, PeePew, PewPew
I recommend the metal breech as well. I have 2 and both of the them, the plastic breech barrel screw broke. I am getting 140 to 150 short barrel and soft spring. I used my own o-rings and have near air tight seal. I did not like the prime of that super heavy spring. I do have the longest barrel and second highest spring for over 200 FPS
The "1.6" and other spring numbers refer to spring diameters.
I haven't viewed one of your videos in awhile and 3 minutes into this one I was like time to catch up. Have a great day captain.
Would a scar with bearings add even more accuracy? Would be good to see a test between these options on the swift. Cheers excellent as always.
I want the upgrade springs for sheer stupidness
I would love to get the blue version, it reminds me of a scout rifle from destiny 2(irl scout rifles are bolt action but in the destiny games they are like bullpup rifle's by nature) the one i'm talking about is the frontier justice for refrence...
Thanks Captain for yet another informative video. I do so love your product reviews. You always answer the majority of my questions regarding the products you're demonstrating. Wondering how you feel about a 'SCIENCE- VIDEO' ?😇😎🤓 Barrel Length, Scar-Design versus shot grouping... Spring Compromise.?
Love all the videos! Also, I’ve been able to get the scar and the short boy barrel to fit with the muzzle. It looks legit and shoots really well.
Once I got mine and the chonky barrel/1.6 spring, I pretty much yeeted the other parts into my Talonclaw and Stryker to upgrade those.
If you plan on running the stronger stuff with this, you can definitely get use of the spares elsewhere
Idea?: Reinforce the 3Dprinted scar barrels by using hard clear pvc pipe, bonus you could run lights to illuminate the sanded edge
@captainxavier what is the fps with the medium spring and the short barrel
that has got to be the nicest looking blaster I have ever seen.
That stock spring hella bent
I like the idea of the spring silencer, far too many blasters have horrible spring noise, sometimes I just put in a bit of foam from an old dart just to dampen the noise.
What bothers me with this blaster is it's double the price of a Ceda S for the same performance, before I start spending extra $$$ on upgrades, and people are having issues with breaking parts.
Have you handled both this and a Ceda-S?
@@CaptainXavier I have the Ceda S but haven't had a chance to handle this one yet, probably won't unless I buy one. Is it that much better?
Did you go over the simple single screw barrel replacement? Speaking of which, I followed some Bradley's advice and installed the Sabre 500mm bras w/ integrated scar. Works very well.
Pretty sure I did...perhaps it did not make the final edit...
What an awesome blaster! I might just have to get one!
This definitely seems like a blaster that would benefit from a red dot or some other precision optic. Did you do anything special with improving the seal, or just standard procedure?
Standard. Replaced and added o-rings. A little Teflon tape. It gets a decent (but not perfect) seal now.
God why hasn't anyone made a high power springer platform like this but it's lever action? I would absolutely swift or caliburn performance but with Winchester styling
Also ideally a full length mag well because i like full length darts for aesthetic reasons
I don't know, but I assume because the forces on the lever action would be too much for most practical/cheap designs. Maybe Capt. Slug could answer that for you, since he recently made a lever action blaster.
Which o rings worked best for you?
Rip the darts who were crushed on the metal targets, shot by an unreasonably powerful blaster.
F
That blaster looks so cool.
What is the little orange piece that comes with it for? I couldn't figure it out.
The little round piece? Orange barrel tip. Many places require one.
Stock spring, upgraded spring, super upgraded spring, ohgawdwhy spring (for when you want to tag that guy on the other side of the country)
"... so I was able to do about an inch..." that's what she said!
sorry, I couldn't help myself
Long Barrel + Scar = Reach out and touch someone! Literally with no firing required. ;)
Next time you are in MN on a Friday we will run you at 200fps in our arena.
Looks Nice! I'll probably stick to what I have already (Nexus Pro + Worker Prophecy) but if someone told me I was required to use this at an event I wouldn't say no. It has a real cool kinda sci-fi esque aesthetic to it!
Reminds me of a 40k guardsman lazgun
That's one sexy looking blaster
Thank you for creating.
Weird thoooought, that front end looks like it could fit the Stryfe Mk2 Afterburner with a lil adaptation, like a 3D printer adapter, don't know how viable that is, just a passing fancy
I mean...if you wanted to slow the dart down and constantly have to buy replacement flywheels...it would work great...
Great video. Noice
Cool nerf sniper
Is the Swift, Worker's version of a Caliburn?
Pretty much
@@CaptainXavier thank you Jedi master....
Do a mod guide on the rush 40.
How's Durability?
I've heard of people with cracked parts.
Also, I understand it has no action lock (doubleprime)? what happens if you pull the trigger before priming forward so the breech slams shut, does it survive?
For me, the main selling point for commercial Injection Molded blasters as opposed to 3d print kits is durability and built-in abuse protection (locks).
Ah, continues watching the rest of video to hear yours did indeed have a cracked breech.... that's unfortunate.
I'm thinking Worker should ditch the plastic part and just ship with the metal breech by Default. Doesn't sit right with me that you have to "upgrade" to fix what is obviously a design flaw.
Agreed
I cracked my plastic dart gate and shattered the plastic part that connects the priming bar to the pump grip, fortunately the plunger, plunger tube, bolt, and priming bar are all thick aluminum parts and are extremely dry-fire safe in my experience. There are no locks, if you are afraid of accidentally pulling the trigger with the bolt back you can use the trigger safety, it will not fire with the safety on.
Hey. I did that once when I didn't prime forward. Luckily I had already changed the dart gate to the metal one plus I was using the weakest spring. So the two metal parts hit each other and some top layer of the metal came off (might just be the paint layer of the metal parts). Took it apart and checked if everything was OK. Did the finger over the barrel and fired to test the air seal and it was good. From now I will keep the safety on just to be safe and not accidently fire when it's harf primed during magazine changes and what not. So not sure about durability with a plastic dart gate or when you accidentally do that with a stronger spring even with the metal dart gate.
Does the swift come with a Metal Catch?
I think modding this to be a flywheel blaster would be nice, because why not
meh
Why no stream
...what?
@@CaptainXavier nvm it wasn’t loading for me sorry
