I am a class 3 case and actually did the distallizer with wisdom teeth extraction to achieve class 1.
Luckily my class 3 was mild enough on the underbite where this route worked, but my case is usually not the norm. Wisdom teeth extraction was also necessary because of how they grew in to create an open bite.

I'm speechless, You absolutely answered all my questions in mind clearly. I just got my braces on today and the orthodontist told me that I have 2 wisdom teeth to be removed in the next 3 months. Kinda worried already and wanted this to be taken out but they haven't got out yet.

Dr.Nate, i have teeth in two sides that did not erupt but do exist and when i went to orthodontist's consultation he said that i better have all my wisdom teeth extracted that they might be causing this. So he can try making those teeth come in during braces treatment. (Which still might not work and could make the process longer). I'm not sure if i should take them out since I'm already stressed about it. Is it a must that I really need to do? What do you think?

I’m so sad now, that’s exactly what my sons orthodontist did. Extracted wisdom teeth and now wants to distalize all the teeth. Be were against that but said was the only option. Really sad 😢
Dr. my wisdom teeth already has been extracted by dr. My tongue have small space my have sinus issue speech issue side profile is bad, should i extract for braces i am already having these issues
The dentist said I have to take my wisdom teeth out before I do a deep clean. 😅 Is this really necessary? Her explanation was basically, “they’re not able to be cleaned”

put braces on 1st of March. my all 4 wisdom teeth were pulled off. at 38 years old they never grew up like a normal teeth anyway.

Hello, I am 18 & had a 10mm protrusion until a few months ago when I got train tracks put on reducing 7mm of the protrusion.
Now, my orthodontist is telling me that to reduce the remaining 3mm of protrusion 4 of my pre-molars need to be extracted.
After looking it up online I am finding very mixed opinions regarding tooth extractions.
I am particularly concerned with the effects it might have on my face.
What should I do now? Should I get my pre-molars extracted?😵💫
Would be really grateful if you could help regarding this dilemma. It's been driving be nuts over the past couple of weeks.😵

Bcoz two months before I extracted my 4 wisdom teeth for my invisible alligners. now I feel my chubby cheeks got shrink and jaw line become narrow? Is it normal in all cases? Does my face shape become normal again.
yeaa i had all 4 of them taken out before braces
I never got mine removed especially when I went to dental visits off and on this year 😢
