Thank you for showcasing our city! Not as much going on here as in Athens but there's extremely passionate suporters on these clubs. Vikelidis was the first stadium I attended a match in, pretty excellent viewing experience. Unfortunately the team is not doing as great as their rivals nowadays
Vikelidis looks like a good place to watch a match. Is there any difference between the fans of the different teams Iraklis FC , Makedonikos FC, PAOK, Aris FC, Apollon Kalamarias FC? Are there political, socio economic/class or regional differences that attract certain people to one club or another? I think PAOK was formed by refugees from Anatolia and Constantinople?
@@neilwhitaker6284 Not that I'm aware of, but yes PAOK is the club of the refugees in general. It's supposed to be Constantinople only, as the K stands for the city, but the Pontics have it in their hearts too since the owner is Russian born Pontic himself. Apollon is the Pontic club but they play in the third division
@@ΌνομαΕπώνυμο-ο1τ oh right the Pontics were further East on the Black Sea near Trabzon. Thank you for your response. I will like your club because I think their stadium looks really cool!
Paok is my team and is the champions of our League. Aris is also a big team, Iraklis too but nowadays is on the second league. Nice video! Thessaloniki is a big city, with almost 2 million people and with Athens, are the two biggest cities and co-capitals of Greece. 😊
North Macedonia is a state that has nothing to do with Macedonia in language, history etc...Great Alexander was Greek🇬🇷..this state is consisted by Slavic-Bulgarians, thats why they dont speak Greek which was Macedonia's language...
The new stadiums will be bigger. Thessaloniki is almost 2 millions people and with Athens which is almost 4 millions are the two big cities and co-capitals of Greece. Thanks for the video! 😊
@@ΚωνσταντίνοςΤόλοζλης-ν2ρ I live in Athens ;) The whole metropolitan area of Thessaloniki has exactly 1 million inhabitants ;) Even Central Macedonia has less than 2 millions inhabitants (1.8 millions) ;)
@@TarsoBsAs ok. I got in Google. Thessaloniki is 1 million and Athens 3 millions. Very big cities for a country like Greece. As I said the two biggest and co-capitals!🙂
In Saint Paul the Apostle's Epistle to the Thessalonians he instructs them remove all running tracks from football stadiums. It appears that they have ignored his instructions. edit: I love the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium! I love how they were creative with space. Looks like a great place to watch a match.
There was no football in saint paul’s times. The stadiums were thought to be idolatric. If we have listened to his epistles there will be no Olympic games.
My ears are hurting by the way you guys pronounce Bucephalas in English.. the right one is Vukefalas(pronouncing it exactly as it’s written). But as usual our words are destroyed in English..
Aris is a team which almost always plays for the benefits of another team of Athens. This is ancient Greece was called traitor . In modern Greece has many names.

Geniunely funny... the built in 2000... AD because you never know with Greece made me chuckle
Thanks for the video. 1 million inhabitants and 3 big clubs! PAOK, Aris and Iraklis!
but all stadiums are rather small

No, Kalamaria Stadium officially is named Harry Clean stadium as an honor of a comedian with that nickname 😂
Dont the Greek think its about time to update their infrastructure, or are they waiting for EU money ?
